I was shopping for a new OTR microwave when I happened to be approached by a Samsung rep that was in the store. I consider myself a friendly person and when she engaged with me in conversation, I went along with it. I was looking to replace an older model Frigidaire OTR microwave and honestly didn't know about OTR appliances. I had read reviews and looked at Consumer Reports but all I garnered from those sources was that no OTR microwave would be perfect. After speaking with her for some time, she eventually left me to my own devices - of which I used to further look at reviews while in the store. I eventually said "Why not? Just give it a try!" After all, despite some poor reviews, JD POWER did give Samsung excellent scores...and I do trust JD POWER. So here I am, writing this review at the counter in my kitchen right across from the microwave. She works perfectly as an OTR microwave should. The installation took less than an hour, I love the Black Stainless Steel, and I love the blue inside. I've had no problems thus far and it's been almost a month. People have indicated that they are having difficulty changing the time...the POWER LEVEL button indicates that you hold it for 3 seconds to change the time (pretty simple stuff). The vent has 4 settings and the light option has two. Heats all my food pretty evenly and doesn't take too long to do it. I would recommend this microwave.

Our Frigadaire Gallery microwave control panel short circuited after only 3 1/2 years. The replacement part was $309. So we shopped for a new on at Best Buy. We settled on the Samsung at $249, installed it ourselves which was relatively easy. It has been working great since. It is a little different in that it has a dark oven type interior but that was easy to get use to,

So far, this product has work as expected. We purchased it to replace our last microwave and I selected it because it had all the same features that i was used to and wanted. I would recommend this microwave

I had to write a second review, since the first one I received was defective. As soon as it was plugged in, the exhaust fan went on and never shut off. My former microwave, a GE Profile,which ran for almost 15 years without an ounce of trouble, was all white. I really did not want another white one just to match my other appliances and was having difficulty choosing until I saw this Samsung. It was the perfect compromise - just a smattering of white and a lot of black. very sleek design, and I like the interior. I do miss the "instant" buttons 1 through 6 high heat and the instant add 30 seconds. The "buttons" are a little hard to press but I'm getting used to it and it was just installed 2 nights ago. I am a fan of Samsung and have many items - 4 TV's and cell phone - so I'm hoping this serves me as well as my last microwave without requiring service.

Not as powerful as my previous Microwave. My older microwave would heat the food in 2 minutes, not this one.

Great looking microwave. Easy to use. Large interior. Only negative is that it doesn’t have express cook buttons (ability to hit 1-6 numbers as instant cook time). You have to hit the minute number and then enter seconds.

Easy to use and very quiet compare to the one I replaced

So far so good. I miss the “Add 30 seconds” feature from our old GE microwave but overall it is a nice microwave. The buttons are a bit finicky and have to be pressed hard but that is minor.
