I put my iphone on it at having only 17% of a charge left in it. The time to charge my phone up to 100% took 3 1/2 hrs. I had the case on my phone the whole time. Maybe if I take the case off and then attempt to charge it, the time would be less. If you have no power and your phone is about to go completely dead, I think this is a good device to have in case of power outages.
