Nice value, very satisfied five star
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw these when I bought my Samsung K550 sound bar. I thought they looked interesting, but I wanted to try the bar alone and not rush into things. I owned a 5.1 system back in the day, eventually it became outdated and I gave it away. I'm in a downtown condo and don't want to mess with bulky speakers and a lot of wiring. Anyways, when I saw the price drop I jumped right on these! I've read some comments that it's not true 5.1. However, I can't sunstantiate those claims. What I do know is my K550 does decode 5.1 audio, and when I connect the soundbar via ARC HDMI I'm getting a read on the TV that it's outputting Dolby Digital. Sources with stereo sound these just duplicate all the sounds, but when I play games on my Xbox One, or put shows on Netflix, I'm definitely hearing what sounds like true surround sound and proper channel separation. These rear speakers are pushing out mainly ambient sounds, and my soundbar is taking the voice and the main audio. I know the K550 takes dialogue from 5.1 streams through the center speaker in the bar... Whatever is happening it's awesome and I'm very pleased, even if it's not true 5.1 it's got me fooled into thinking it is. I think Samsung might have dropped the ball on documentation for how to extract the most out of this ecosystem. One pain point was the discovery to get the performance I was looking for. Samsung has their wireless SoundConnect technology, but from my tinkering this doesn't seem to transmit Dolby Digital. I also wasn't seeing the right results with the optical cable. I think this is because most TVs don't pass through the 5.1 audio from HDMI to optical. When I used the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar is when I saw the options open up on my Xbox One and TV. I set the Xbox on Bitstream Dolby Digital for HDMI audio, and on my TV selected Dolby Digital from the advanced sound menu. All other connection methods left those disabled and unavailable. Hooked up this set of surround speakers today and whatever it's doing sounds like true surround sound to me. I'm very happy with the purchase. Since the soundbar is a prerequisite for these, it's really hard to constrain the review to just these speakers and not the entire system. For what it's worth, these exceeded my expectations and the pairing process was simple. TLDR: these speakers are five stars for the money, and to me they sound like true surround sound. Remember though, garbage in = garbage out; make sure you hook up the soundbar so that it's getting a true 5.1 signal to decode. From my tests the Samsung SoundConnect wireless won't do it. Go with HDMI ARC and these pair wonderfully with the K550 soundbar. $70, amazing value!

Good addition to your samsung sound bar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are wireless because they don't connect to the sound bar through a wire. However the speakers themselves are wired to the receiver. As far as quality they aren't going to make a huge difference but defitnely when watching movies. You hear more of the background sounds with the rear speakers then without them. If you can't hear much out of them make sure you use the soundbar remote and hit audio and increase rear speakers to +1 thru +6 to increase the volume.

Pair well with Soundbar and Subwoofer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just installed these last week matching up with the Samsung 60" TV J6200, and the K450 Soundbar and Subwoofer. First, let me say I am happy with the product and they work well. One important thing to realize, they are NOT completely wireless. You will still need to connect each speaker via wire to the main control unit that comes with the speakers. The speakers come with the wires and they are very easy to connect. The control unit box is pretty small, maybe 5" x 7 " . It receives a signal from the soundbar so that part is actually what is wireless. It was not a big deal for me because the speaker wires run behind my couch and you cannot see, them but just an FYI.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these as part of the bundle with the K550. The setup is easy, but I initially put the speaker wires in too far and missed the connection, Once I readjusted and adjusted the speakers to +6, awesome Surround Sound was the result. I put in Band of Brothers Episode 2 and had bullets whizzing by from every direction!

Great for surround effect for great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm bit curious why people say they cant hear sound from these. I can hear sound just fine from them directly behind my couch, which is where I'd recommend people to put them. No they aren't super loud, but I think they are a great volume for behind the couch, they have gave me a great surround sound feel with games and movies. Not true surround sound, but comparable. I feel as the negative reviews may be from people that have had true surround sound before. I used these wth the HW-K450 and you can tell the difference between when they are on or off. There was a time where it sounded like crickets were in the living room. Yes there are wires running to the speakers from the unit, but if you read the reviews you should know this by now and I don't think thats a deal breaker.

Great addition to soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came free with my 550 soundbar. I was actually going to pay for them but at the register the cam up free with purchase of soundbar. To be honest even if they werent free i would pay for them as they are a great addition. Tip dont pay attention to reviews that say they arent loud these are probably people that didnt adjust the level or dont know rear channels arent supposed to be as loud as front or left/right.
