The only place to fit the height of a gallon of milk is in the bottom door shelves. If they made it possible to play with the shelf arrangement in the main portion of the fridge I'd give five stars. But without that it really forces you into tetris mode if you have a lot of food to store.

Those measurements are with the door CLOSED. When the door is OPEN it needs a wider space. Really liked this refrigerator but had to swap it out for a smaller model.
