    We really loved this fridge for the 17 days we had it. After 17 days, it completely shut off with no rhyme or reason. Breaker box was fine. Plug was powering on other devices fine. Samsung sent a repair man and he stated that most of the calls he gets are about Samsung appliances. Anyway, he couldn't completely identify the exact problem, but the part wouldn't be able to get here for a couple weeks because it's so new. It's unfortunate because I have had great luck with my other Samsung stuff (TV, laptop), but I would not recommend taking the risk of buying this specific fridge and probably Samsung in general until their longevity and quality is proven. My local Best Buy was awesome and helped me exchange the non-working fridge with a Whirpool.

    I cannot emphasize enough how much I do not recommend this product. This refrigerator has been nothing but trouble! From one month after my purchase date, the freezer began to randomly stop working. On four separate occasions over the last year, I have woken up to warm food in the fridge and a freezer full of unfrozen food. I cannot tell you how much food I have lost because this fridge just decided to stop working altogether. After 4 service requests, replacing the computer in the fridge twice and seemingly endless hours on the phone with Samsung "support," practically begging them to just replace the unit, it became clear that they were just doing minimal repairs until my warranty ran out. So, now, after a LOT of effort to sort out the issue they've finally just given up and decided to give me a refund. So now I have a non-functional refrigerator and can't get rid of it until they refund me.

    Pretty, but dead after one week

    We may have just received a lemon, but it was one doozy of a lemon. One week after delivery, it died. Just completely dead. Ice cream was like milk and ice bin was full of water. Called Samsung support and was insulted when their first question was "is it plugged in?". We went through a series of steps and finally got it up and running again. I have a power meter and tested it as soon as I found it inop. It was still running, but power level was 1/10th of full run power. Prior to this, the icemaker was operating well. After the re-start, the ice cubes no longer came out separated. They fell out into the tray with 4-6 pieces still connected. The freezer temp also seemed to never reach full capacity as the ice cubes also didn't seem to be completely frozen. Once they fell out into the tray, they stuck to other section of cubes so what I ended up with, was a full tray of solid ice. I even adjusted the freezer temp to max cold, but that didn't help at all. I ended up returning this as if these are the problems 2 weeks new, I didn't have much confidence in the reliability or longevity of this pretty refrigerator.

    Refrigerator is fine but the freezer is ultra frosty! Lots of excess frost. It’s a mess. We trouble shooted according to the book. Did not resolve the issue. Very disappointed. Need to contact Best Buy.

    I have owned this refrigerator for one month and wish I never purchased it. It’s a beautiful unit and has all the features I was looking for. However, if you have a power surge or power outage, the unit goes out and does not come back on. This happened while I was out of town for 4 days and all of my food in the unit (worth $185) had to be thrown away. When I called Samsung, I was told to shut off my electric for two minutes, then turn it back on. Then I had to reset the temperature controls. I have owned several refrigerators over the years and have had many power surges and/or outages, and my old refrigerators always came back on. I have read this same thing happens with Samsung ranges, so I am glad I didn’t buy the Samsung slide-in range I have been considering.
