    I bought this refrigerator 2 years ago and about a year ago it’ water started build up in the drawers and at the bottom of the refrigerator. There are many people online complained about this same problem. Basically the defrost coli is not designed properly to sufficiently allow ice condensation to melt, this allowed ice to build up and block the drain, causing the water to leak into the fridge. Samsungs custom service is absolutely the worst. I had made numerous calls and every time they gave me different answers. Stay away from Samsung refrigerators!

    Runs Great..but the autodefroster likely to go out

    We purchased this refrigerator in ~2012 and the first thing to go out was the swiveling door hinge in the center which was replaced under warranty in the first year. About four years later, the back of the refrigerator and the bottom of the crisper areas began to freeze up on us. I completely defrosted the ice build-up behind the back panel and it now continues to run frost free up to now - January 2019. The ice maker in the freezer no longer drops single cubes and only drops 8 cube mini-"blocks" which we break apart. Other than that, it keeps on going. Annoying but still functional.

    Samsung refrigerator

    Do not purchase a Samsung refrigerator and do not purchase warranty extension. There is known flaw of frosting. Google "Samsung refrigerator." I bought the refrigerator and three years after purchase, I had the frosting issue. I contacted the warranty company and was told I would have to wait over a week to get an appointment "to look" at the refrigerator. I called a local appliance person and he was able to be there the next day. Had to order a part, and replaced the part three days later. Before the warranty company would even have been there. So out the money for warranty (useless) and $400. Just happened again, thirteen months after the first incident. Now out of warranty... I had it carted to the dump. What a waste. Moral of the story, do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I took a picture of the frig laying there on the lawn, in pieces, so it could be taken to the dump.

    After 2 yrs I regret not getting extended warranty

    If you want a refrigerator that DOES NOT cool then this is for you!!! After 2 years I regret not getting the extended warranty. Refrigerator doesn't cool and requires constant defrosting because of a terrible design flaw. It's the same problem as with many other Samsungs. Trying workarounds and tricks found by other users on Youtube; New temp sensor, clip drain evaporator and bush fixes involving copper wire. It's not worth the hassle of worrying about your food spoiling or family getting sick from unsafe temperatures. Don't waste your money on this. At best, it will work for a few months and then you'll end up with the same problem and headaches.

    Frequent filter system issues leading to flooding. Same issue repaired 3 times, persisting beyond warranty period. Stay away from Samsung appliances!!!!

    Avoid Like The Plague

    I've never had such a noisy appliance. So LOUD. All the time. But especially when the water line kicks in to make ice. Sounds like a jet is flying over the house. Also, whenever you open the freezer drawer, the darn thing spits out ice cubes on the floor. The freezer section is tiny and hard to access. And plan on throwing out at least one shelf in the refrigerator section if you want to stand a liter bottle upright. This is the worst refrigerator ever made. Totally regret buying the horrid thing.

    Worked for me until right after 2 year warranty. Then the ice maker, in back of refrigerator, freezes and water and ice accumulate in veggie bins and underneath. Apparently Samsung is aware of the issue and refuses to fix. Look up on Google and you will see many complaints on the Samsung French door refrigerators. Not just my model. If you do get any refrigerator, get the extended warranty. Well worth it... Good luck.

    My Samsung is 2 1/2 years old and the freezer will not keep food frozen. It is intermittent and when I call Samsung they tell me to cycle power to reset the controls. I called in a service tech and he could not find the problem. I searched the web and found others have had same problem. Poor customer service and design. The fridge was really good until I started having problems that cant seemed to be fixed. Its a shame I only got 2 1/2 years before buying another brand.

    Warm Freezer

    New Refrigerator came with our new "flipped" house. Had it 3 months. It never dropped the ice into the bucket. Tried everything to get the ice maker to work. Did a little searching online and it turns out Samsung does not do ice makers well. Now the freezer simply will not freeze anything. Tried everything and simply nothing is freezing. Did more searching. It turns out it is just luck of the draw and we got an expensive piece of trash. It also turns out the more money you spend the better chance you have of getting a quality appliance.

    Runs most of the time and it sure doesn't run very quiet, since day 1 that I bought it. I should had Best Buy come get this fridge within 30 days and refund my money.

    Stainless steel is crap on this

    We purchased this fridge in 2017. After three months, I noticed small rust spots on all three doors. After calling Samsung multiple times and sending in pictures, we were informed that this issue is cosmetic and NOT covered in the warranty. Samsung refuses to repair or to replace. In addition to this issue, we have also had issues with the samsung dishwasher and range. Samsung DOES NOT stand behind their products.

    Compressor broke after 20 months

    We purchased lG French door cabinet depth refrigerator. In less than 20 month since the purchase the compressor broke. Fortunately the warranty covers parts and labor. Unfortunately the service takes days and weeks. Compressor is a conventional part of any cooling system been in the industry for many years and is very reliable. I have no idea what LG does but this should not have happened.

    The refrigerator worked for less than a year, it’s completely unusable now and we have been dealing with Samsung for more than 2 months and still no refund. It’s the worst customer service I have ever seen, I will never buy any Samsung product, ever.

    A fridge that doesn’t stay cool

    This refrigerator is TERRIBLE. Only 8 months after installation it didn’t keep temperature. We have thrown away a lot of food more than once. There is a DESIGN FLAW that Samsung and Best Buy are aware of. We had it repaired once and a few short months later it started again. Search it online there have been MANY problems and there has even been a class action lawsuit yet they still haven’t changed the design. My husband has looked closely at it and said it is very poorly made. We are probably going to have to buy another refrigerator if my husband can’t rig something to fix it. Service men can’t fix it. If you still buy one for goodness sakes get the extended warranty and be ready to use it a lot.

    Same defrosting issue as others have mentioned. I had it fixed twice and replaced it after it went out a third time. Also had to replace my three year old Samsung dishwasher. For as long as I live, I will never purchase or recommend any Samsung appliance.

    This refrigerator collected water in the crisper drawers and the bottom of the fridge. After parts were replaced to repair that problem, the fridge decided to never defrost, causing the fan to stop working and my food to spoil. Two more repair calls later and I have to give up on a five-year old fridge. This is how we are ruining the planet by loading up the landfills. Ridiculous. Don't buy.

    My refrigerator was just delivered a week ago and the freeze has never worked. It is in the middle of summer and I have to wait another week before someone can come out and fixed it. I just had a baby and I breast feed so I can not freeze any of my milk until they come out and fix this crap. Customer service sucks. I was online for more than an hour and a half waiting to speak to someone. Do Not I Repeat Do Not Buy this product. It's not worth it!!!
