Give me 10 years and I can tell you more
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It seems like a great fridge/freezer. The key will be, will it last 42 years, like my previous Frigidare. Likely not, so I bought the 5 year extended warranty. More power to the Hispanic immigrants who delivered and installed the refrigerator. Likely native born Americans wouldn't have worked that hard and gotten paid so little. I would have liked delivery people who could have explained how to operate the appliance. I found Samsung's instruction book and their 800 number to be very unhelpful. The freezer, according to my Taylor refrigerator thermometer, holds at a good temp, and the fridge is at about 38 degrees or 38.5, just a bit hot for my taste. I've only had it 10 days, so the true test will be in 10 years.

Turn settings to coldest after 5 hours temperature was only 65 degrees in both freezer and fridge. Customer service non existent.

Design lacks flexibility to move shelves pull them out and/or place large bottles on shelves

Not worth it

I struggled with the the amount of stars to give

I wanted to give it a fair shake before writing about it. The positives would be that it's a gorgeous refrigerator. Black stainless steel is unique. It's good for a single person such as myself. Just the right size. It also works well. I have had no technical problems since it was installed. The negatives are a different bag of tricks. What is with the noises. It makes the strangest and loudest noises. Popping, cracking, water bubbling and I am not talking about the Ice dispenser feeling up with water to turn to ice. I thought something was wrong with the unit the first several days and just came to the realization that it periodically makes these noises. I also had problems with figuring out how to turn on the Ice Maker. Had to contact Customer service at Samsung for help. It would not come up. The CS rep was wonderful, stayed on the phone with me for 45 minutes to work through the issue. The refrigerator was so new that he did not have a manual on how to work this particular model. I don't care what they say. It does show smudges but not as prominently as with straight stainless steel. I just keep a microfiber cloth nearby to wipe it down from time to time.

It's OK, but lets see where I'm at in a few months

Simple and straightforward which is fine. Ice maker works fine so far. There's a thing where if you close the door too hard or too softly the door stays slightly open. You have to close the door firmly but gently. And the alarm doesn't go off because the door is mostly closed but is slightly cracked open. This can lead to wasted electricity and a shorter life for the fridge. Gotta get used to that.

One could be food that blocks the door. The way to prevent this is to clean your door gasket.
The second could be the door was not properly installed. Please see this link to your user manual for details. Turn to pages 36 to 48.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the same model and it wasn’t cooling, this time it’s cooling below 40 like it should be including door parts. Not disappointed after 2nd try. I think sometimes it’s defective. The vegetable fruit part is always 40 and never below but food lasts for a very long time so I guess it’s fine as long as it doesn’t go above 40. I like how they have power freeze technology, you can speed up cooling when you buy a lot of stuff. Most fridges don’t have that. Once or twice a day it goes to self defrosting and it gets warmer but it finishes within 50 min. I’m happy with the design, technology and functionality. I hope it lasts for a long time .

An awesome refrigerator

Maintains uniform temperature throughout and keeps everything fresh for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised that my produce looked and tasted great even after 2 weeks of storage in the crisper. I hope it will continue to perform well for several years from now. The top freezer is super convenient, but accessing the refrigerator can be a bit challenging for tall people.
