Love Samsung but

Follow the instructions to disconnect the audio response on Startup it would not work so I did an update which fix the problem but when I change the channels there was no audio for about 30 to 40 seconds.

The Soundbar turns on by itself when another device connected to it tells it to. The solution depends on which device is causing the Soundbar to turn on.
1) For a Bluetooth source, press and hold the SOUND MODE button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that the center LED blinks RED once and the two white LED on either side blinks once.
2) For an Optical source, press and hold the Left button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-S40T and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the connectivity and performance of your unit.
First, you may want to replace your batteries in the remote. Also, be sure that the distance between the remote and soundbar main unit is not too far.
Please know that this model can be connected to your TV via Optical cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
To connect your S40T to your TV via Optical:
1. With the TV and Soundbar turned off, connect the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) port on the
Soundbar and the OPTICAL output port on the TV with the optical cable, as shown in the figure.
2. Turn on the Soundbar and TV.
3. Press the (Source) button on the top panel or remote control, and then select the “Digital
Audio In” mode.
4. The TV sound is output from the Soundbar.
To connect your S40T to your TV via Bluetooth:
1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode
a. or press the SOURCE button on the top panel and then select BT. “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record.
b. When BT READY appears, press and hold the SOURCE button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display BT PAIRING.
2) Select Bluetooth mode on the TV
3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar S4T-Series” from the list on the TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection. - When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display.
4) You can now hear TV sound from the Soundbar.
If the device fails to connect:
- If a previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar S4T-Series”) appears in the list, delete it.
- Then repeat steps 1 through 3
Once you have connected your soundbar for the first time, use the “BT READY” mode to reconnect.

It makes sound

When you push the volume button on the remote, the sound mutes rather than change volume control, but just above that button is a mute button. Either I have not figured the volume control, or this is a bad feature. I expected more from Samsung.

Would not connect to Bluetooth

After a couple days it stopped connecting to Bluetooth. The bass sounded like it was in a trash can. I returned the item and spent a little more money on a better sound bar. Avoid at all cost.
