Decent Soundbar

Sound is good but I feel it could be better considering it pricepoint. Its definitely sounds better than the TV speakers and the sub is decent. I have streamed music via Spotify on it but the quality for music is just not there for me. I have a Klipsch RSB 11 soundbar that knocks this one out of the park in terms of playing music. My advice if you want to listen to music thru a soundbar go with a Sonos or Klipsch.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-N450 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its low volume.
Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. Check the source volume. For example, if connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth, increase the volume on the mobile phone.
2. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
3. Then check the TV for the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
4. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar by using the Soundbar’s remote. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
5. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

Bought a new Samsung one and brought it home. Returned it the next day because it didn't get near as loud as the Visio that just died. The rep explained to me that they make sound bars differently today vs 8 or so years ago. The less than $200 Visio blew the Samsung and this Sony away. I was told that they decreased the technology on the cheaper models today so you must pay for the higher end models to get that loud level. I bought the Sony because I was told they are the speaker masters and way better than Samsung at this technology. This Sony system is adequate. It has great technology and features, however, I still finding myself wanting to turn it up when playing music or for some movies, but I can't because the volume is maxed out. The desire to turn it up is not as bad as the Samsung sound bar, but the desire still exists. The sound quality is great, don't get me wrong. I guess I'm just upset that they make you pay way more for quality that cost less than $200 a decade ago. I guess this is good for staying under $500, but I think it's about as good as you can guess at this price range. Disappointing in comparison to an older model. I don't think we have another choice but but to deal with the inadequacy, but I guess this is the king of the inadequate, lower-medium priced sound bars.

Depends on how technical the baby is. The sound is great, the system sets up in many ways, I use a cable but it can be set up through Bluetooth. The base sounds great and really fills the room. Paired easily with my Samsung tv. The only complaint is the tiny remote. But, overall I highly recommend you buying one for yourself and your baby.
