Great sound when it works

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this for a few only a few months before it started cutting out while watching a movie. The bass goes in and out and it is very hard to watch movies and not be bothered by it. The cord design is poor on the subwoofer plug. Wish I just stuck with the smaller one.

Disappointed in sound

I picked the middle price soundbar and wish I had

Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. Check the source volume. For example, if connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth, increase the volume on the mobile phone.
2. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
3. Then check the TV for the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
4. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar by using the Soundbar’s remote. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
5. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

Samsung disappointing

This purchase was a dud. I wasted a total of 9 hours of my life attempting get a resolution which included two trips to Best Buy and research on internet since I work in IT. I finally called Samsung support - after following step instructions and resets they determined the soundbar is faulty and issued ticket #2202268390. Since my purchase was one day ago, I feel confident that Best Buy will allow me to exchange the product. Samsung tech stated any soundbar should work with my MU6490 Samsung 55” curved TV that I purchased in 2017. So I will probably exchange for a Sony...so sad. I love having all my electronics from the same brand. Oh well

Doesn't like my Samsung Smart TV

Must switch the source on my TV from cable box to anything else and then back again in order for the sound bar to begain working poperly.

Sound skips

I haven’t had any problems with this sound bar when it comes to watching live TV or Movies, but when watching shows that have been recorded the sound skips and jumps around

Samsung 2.1 channel Soundbar System

Before I purchased it a customer inside the store warned me not to get it. I did not listen because I love Samsung products and it paired with my TV. The sound on the TV sounds better. Not a very good system

Disappointed

The subwoofer barely, and I mean barely works. I tried the recommendations for abt 20 mins with no luck. I then tried 1800 Samsung for another 20 and all they told me was to unplug and try again. A quick google search and this is a very common problem with Samsung soundbars. Zero bass at all. So angry will be returning tomorrow for a different brand. DO NOT BUY!

Great for TV without sound

I’ve noticed it sounds just like my TV no matter what I do!If the speakers on your TV is gone and he really need some sound this will get you the same sound that your TV is would have put out! My advice spend a little more get a better quality sound bar!!!
