    Samsung Sound Bar died in less than 4 months

    I bought this sound bar in mid July, and it totally quit working within 4 months. Won't even turn on. What a piece of junk. Zero support is available from Samsung. Run from any Samsung sound bar.

    We were excited to use this product but it fell short of our expectations. We have an open floor plan with little objects to interfere with sound waves however the quality of sound that we experienced was poor.

    Voices sound like stammering, gargling, hiccuping and a helicopter whopping in a tunnel. The bass continuously sounds like a throbbing beat box in the background. SEND a Geek who can correct it PLEASE !

    We thought our antenna was bad causing the sound to break up...but when we turned the sound bar off and used the tv speakers we have no problems. A call to the Geek squad is coming...

    The sound quality on this sounds bar is not great at all..I would recommend you keep shopping.. Even turned all the way up.

      Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.

      1. Check the source volume. For example, if connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth, increase the volume on the mobile phone.
      2. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
      3. Then check the TV for the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
      4. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar by using the Soundbar’s remote. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.

    This unit is awesome. I got this recently for my garage as I listen to a lot of music in there and the sound quality off the TV was just not what I was looking for. The sound and bass that come with this system for that kind of unit were exceptional. Listening to music or even watching a hockey/football game is so much more enticing. HIghly recommend.

    This soundbar is great! I bought & returned the M450 after 3 days. The subwoofer really kicks. The soundbar is loud & clear. No distortion when watching movies or listening to music at high volume. Connected via digital optical cable & HDMI (ARC).

    The connections and setup went really smooth. That’s why I gave it three stars. I was anticipating pairing issues or possibly not turning on/off with my vizio tv. But it was great. Unfortunately the sound just isn’t as good as in the store. It had a “fuller” sound and the subwoofer was great. But at home, it’s just OK. I’m using hdmi in the ARC port so I don’t think it’s a connection issue. Maybe something in my tv’s menu??? I’ll keep messing around with it but as of now, not quite worth ~$220.

    Though you aren't going to get surround sound and incredible bass from this system, it is 10 times better than the speakers in your tv. For a smaller room, you can't go wrong. Sound is clear and full!

    I bought TCL 65 inch tv and this soundbar wouldn't even get as loud as the TV which was very low to begin with, which is why I bought it. I thought it was the TV so I returned it and got a Sharp. that Sharp is so loud and clear with good bass that i don't even need the soundbar.....it was a waste of my money! It is NOT louder or have more bass than the TV alone so I have it there for looks and don't use it. The box is gone and my dog put a few bite marks in the remote so i can't return it.............good news is that it looks great, but thats all. A $229 piece of coal!! Samsung usually has such quality stuff but someone didn't test this properly before it hit the market or the designer would be looking for a job right now, and shame on Samsung for putting it on the market to unsuspecting buyers! No wonder it was on sale and they had so many of them they were trying to get rid of. I....unfortunately bought it on product reputation alone and was very disappointed!

    Good sound for good price

    Pleased with this sound bar. Purchased this to have better sound than tv speakers. Dialogue is very clear and bass is good for when it’s needed. Originally purchased a Vizio sound bar and it had great bass and was good for music but dialogue was not clear. Good for my purposes in a bedroom for gaming and movies.
