I bought the sound bar and then proceeded to buy the rear wireless speaker attachment. It completely changed the system. Without the rear speakers it isn't loud enough. With the speakers, it's amazing in a smaller appartment.

I did not compare any other sound bars with this one. However, I wanted to keep the same brands of components as my TV. Additionally, I did not need a really loud system. I just wanted to get better sound for my TV. I was not expecting a lot of improvement at first. I just knew that because the sound coming from the built in tv speakers were projecting behind it, and not toward the audience that I was not optimizing the viewing experience. With the sound bar, the music and dialogue is now being projected toward me. I was extremely happy with the purchase. With the bluetooth capability, I can also control music to the speaker when I just want to play music. Installation was easy. Just plug it to the tv and power and you're ready to go.

Got the Samsung - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with 7" Wireless Subwoofer during a sale. Have tested with over-the-air Columbus Broadcasting stations as well as with my AppleTV - Action movies so far sound good to great!

I bought the Samsung 2.1 Channel Sound Bar System and it has really improved our ability to hear dialogue in movies and TV shows. It has the sub woofer which also gives it a richer and clearer tone. Glad I bought it.

Very good sounding sound bar and sub. It turns on and off with out tv remote and volume is as well. A very good system for the price. We also bought the rear speakers separately and they all sound great!

Since purchasing this system, I've noticed I'm not constantly changing the volume of my TV, so I'm assuming that's because of the surround sound. Only had a few months, but so far all is good and no problems whatsoever.
