Awful Bluetooth / Low Power - Do Not Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Please do not purchase this sound bar. I am a former BB Employee and Intel Rep. I know tech. The bluetooth connectivity on this soundbar is awful! And you do NOT want to work with Samsung's customer support team. The subwoofer (which is WEAK) connects via bluetooth. All I can think is they didn't put enough resources to power the sub and a streaming device. Just google the model number + bluetooth and "problems" is the next suggested word. On the Samsung Forum about this issue there are TWENTY FIVE pages of Samsung asking a hundred questions... no solutions. The first post was 06-20-2016 and the most recent 05-19-17. Nearly a year, and no solution. Do yourself a favor... stay far far away. Not sure how in the world Best Buy says 95% would recommend to a friend. That's some pretty bad friends I guess.

not bad, but can't beat surround

A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

Difficult to set up

Instructions indicate a window in front of the unit that lets you know if it is paired but our model does not have this panel. The subwoofer continues to have a blinking blue light and it does not seem to be working at all. Frustrating.

A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel, which will indicate the unit is on. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) It is not uncommon that customers instead are placing the bar with the logo facing them (instead of up), which results in the display being face-down on the table, hidden from sight and thus not showing that the unit is on.

Good hardware - Lousy software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung TV and Sound bar in order for the integration to work seamlessly. Apparently Samsung has to go to Apple school and figure out how products are supposed to integrate. I wanted ONE remote control, not two and I wanted detailed instructions to use one remote for everything. Bad news is the customer service rep gave me incorrect information and even with all the google searches in the world, the sound bar disconnects from the HDMI connection to the back of the TV and has to be started using the sound bar remote control. Honestly, it's just lousy software. If Samsung decided to put some effort into the firmware they could have made it so much simpler. I'm never buying Samsung again - They give you what you need, but not what you want.

Not so easy to hook up

And will have to try again some other time. So I have no idea how it sounds. Sounded great and appeared simple in store. But that is not how it was when I got home with it.
