    Purchased as an Open Box Demo unit. Upon setting up at home, unit was found to have been left in Shop/Demo mode, and unusable without returning it to store, where a Samsung Rep happened to be there and take it out of Demo mode. Returned home, where after about an hour the LED began to display "Check Rear Speakers", despite there being no rear speakers. Used Samsung online chat with Samsung Tech who walked me through three separate procedures in an attempt to clear the Check Rear Speakers message. After three different procedures and 40 minutes, the Samsung Tech stated that the unit would have to be sent in for servicing as there was an unresolvable issue with it. I will return the unit in the morning for a refund.

    Purchased this soundbar, but then once I had it connected and it was working, I was not happy with it due to the echo and base it made while the tv was on. Even turned the bass all the way down, and it still was too much. Love my new tv without a soundbar though. :)

    Open Box Disaster

    Purchased this "open box" unit (of which there were several) that was in "excellent" condition only to get it home (in the completely destroyed box it came in) to find there was no ac/dc adapter. (Did I mention a +30-minute in-store wait for an item that was 'ready for pickup"?) Spent hours on the phone being shuffled between one customer service division to another to get assistance. Final group said they had opened a ticket and would escalate matter and get back with me immediately via email. Zero follow through. What a nightmare. A unit without parts is not in "excellent" condition, Best Buy. Thanks for the absolutely terrible customer service on a nearly $1000 total purchase.

    This is not the best sound bar ive heard. It sounded great in the store but sounds flat at home. It also has a mind of its own when it comes to pairing with my Samsung television. That is very frustrating. I probably would not buy this again.

    I was a little disappointed in the sound. It does not fill the room, and I tried so many different things to make it sound better. I have a small living room but the sound seems very foward in one direction

      A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

    The sound levels were not nearly what I had hoped. My wife has a hard time hearing unless the voices are very clear. Ended up returning both the TV and sound bar for a different TV with better EQ controls.

    This is a low end sound system. Just about worth the money you paid for. If you are a good sound system buff, spend some money and buy one of the better systems available out there.

    Works with my sound bar but there are several wires. The AC plus to the receiver and the two speakers are wired. Makes for a very cluttered look behind your seating position

    Was not a "Best Buy" at Best Buy

    I was told by store TV Expert that this Samsung Unit would easily connect to the new Samsung TV I was also purchasing and work off the TV remote. That was not the case because the TV (unknown to me at the time) was a Black Friday special that had very limited features and was not compatible to the sound system. When I complained to the Store Asst. Manager about it, he said the problem was my fault because I should not have bought a Black Friday TV because they are "lousy units". Took the sound system back.

    Waste of money and lack of assistance at Best Buy

    This product is not worth the $$$ I paid for it Had there been someone around to assist me, then, I wouldn't have purchased it and bought the more expensive model. It states it's a surround system but the rear speakers do not work. Don't purchase the geek squad warranty because they will charge you to come out and it's more than half that I paid for this system. So much for upgrading my system from hardware to wireless. Very disappointed in this product. I rate it a "zero"

    Got it open boxed

    I saw the reviews on this soundbar and thought they were good. Then I saw they had one "open box in Excellent condition" for $128. And I thought wow I couldn't pass this up. So I go and pick it up and I'm missing all the cords for it. Someone went and found me a cord for it. Turns out it's only for the subwoofer and not for the soundbar. Really wish I was able to listen to the soundbar. Learned my lesson about buying things open boxed. Thanks bestbuy.

    I bought this Samsung soundbar to upgrade the sound from my Samsung 4k hdtv. I ran into several typical problems while setting it up. I had the bar facing the wrong way, so I thought it wouldn't turn on. Once I got the Samsung logo facing up, I could see the lite display and could proceed to sync the Subwoofer to the main unit. Then I thought the optical cable wouldn't connect to either the tv or sound bar. After calling 1-800-SAMSUNG, whose agent was very kind and helpful by the way, I found out that I had to take off the tiny clear plastic cap covering from each end of the optical cable connectors. This did the trick! And WOW, after I got it all set up right, I had beautiful rich sound coming from the tv (or sound bar and subwoofer) and was able to control the volume to go way up, past tolerable. What an improvement, since I could barely hear the tv without it. I bought an open box while the item was on sale for greater savings, so I'm very pleased about that. And I know there are a lot more expensive and fancier soundbars out there, but this one is beyond good. I would easily recommend it to anyone shopping for a sound bar.

    Took it back and purchased a sound bar made by Pioneer, Polk, or a real audio company. Stay away from the TV manufacturer's product.
