Real bad Never want it again Kids can't stand it.

Not really happy about the quality of this product

First of all, I am an audioholic and I have this sound bar in my bedroom, in my living room I have a $1500 Bose Soundtouch 130, don't fool yourself telling the these two sound similar, overall sound in Bose is much better, louder and clearer, so please do not read reviews comparing these two, just focus on the specs of this system. That being said, this Samsung soundbar is INCREDIBLY GOOD! It is LOUD and it will make your experience x100 times better than your regular TV speakers. It substantially surpassed my expectations for the cost. Sound is overall great and neat, but please don't compare it to a superior system as Bose, as these are in a different league(it's like comparing a Ferrari with a BMW). It is highly recommended system as it has an entry level cost and a high quality sound.

A huge step up from tv sound. Super clear sound from the main speaker at quiet or loud volumes. The sub gets kinda lost in my large living room but it certainly adds wonderful dimension to the sound. not enough to tick off the neighbors though. It's not home theater sound quality by any means but a wonderful addition to any tv. Set up was easy and its compatible my Samsung 4600 series tv and remote when hooked up to hdmi.

I had just purchased a 65" 4K Samsung tv and as per usual nowadays the picture was beautiful but the sound was not impressive, so I decided to break the bank some more and get a sound bar. Not wanting to get too ridiculous, I decided on getting this sound bar as opposed to the next higher priced one. It paired so easily with the tv and sounds really good. I almost got the higher priced one because Best Buy was having a deal where they gave you the rear speaker kit for free. I went back later and did buy the rear speaker kit while it was still on sell and it is also a great addition to the tv sound. I will do a separate review on it soon. I only saved about 40 dollars that way over buying the nicer sound bar to begin with (which will probably bug me later) but I am very pleased with my set up now. I highly recommend adding a sound bar to really enjoy the overall entertainment experience.

Bought this setup and paired with the 2 160W rear speakers. Can connect to TV, iphone, etc. It is very powerful, slams with bass when cranked up. Sound quality is very clear. Only issue I had is connecting via smartconnect to my Samsung tv. I bought the J6200 and it was not compatible. This is a new 60" tv. I was surprised at this, but not a huge deal. I was able to connect with the optical cable. Remember to remove the litte plastic caps on the optical cable, as I had never used them before. Sub is wireless, just need to plus into wall. You won't be disappointed with the sound in this setup

i have a samsung tv 55''. been debating to get the soundbar with my budget. found this one online with a good review. got it open box in two days (suggest to get the protection as well) as if u buy open box. luckily i purchased the geek squad protection. the hdmi port is broken. went to store the suggest to return and get another one. i got another and installed it today. testing the sound with some horror movies and music videos. the sound its really good. good for a regular size room. now i feel like i have a small home theater in my room. love it and enjoy it. the only i complain about is the finish of the soundbar will be very easy to get dust inside the surface. it will be very hard to clean to get the dust out of it. other than that its a good soundbar for watching movie and listening music at room. highly recommend it if u have a tight budget and forget to mention its 2016 product.

I usually don't do reviews but feel it's necessary for this product. First off I was purchasing this for my parents to replace the Sony surround sound in a box I got them 10+ years ago. Their room is not really set up for a true surround system. I definitely wanted something that would not need to use another remote so that the sound bar would operate with the tv remote and they wouldn't have to lean another remote. The tv I got them for Christmas last year does not have an audio return channel (arc) hdmi. I read reviews on this unit and most everyone stated you HAD to use the factory remote for the soundbar. This alost swayed my decision to the LG bar even though it didn't sound as good but was advertised as being able to work with a universal remote. When I set it up for them on Christmas day I used the supplied optical cable and found that you could activate the auto power on feature by holding down the left arrow on the remote for 5 seconds. This solved not needing another remote to turn it on as the cable remote would turn the tv on alon with the soundbar. The only thing it would not do was control the volume. THIS IS WHERE I GOT LUCKY! I was testing out the soundbar which has a very full and rich sound after changing the samsung tv audio out setting to dts neo 2.5. I was watching the new star trek and tried the surround sound setting on the bar which doesn't sound bad but does not create a surround sound listening experience which I didn't really even expect it to. But just out of curiosity I was trying to see if there were any surround sound settings that could be changed. So I pressed and held the surround sound button for 5 seconds. when I did this the display screen popped up and said TV REMOTE ON. Surprised the s&#! out of me so I picked up the cable remote and was now able to contol the soundbar volume with it. So long story short YOU CAN CONTOL POWER ON AND VOLUME WITH A CABLE OR SAT. TV REMOTE. IT ALSO POWERS OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF NO SOUND. IT IS NOW FULLY INTEGRATED INTO THE CABLE REMOTE WHICH MAKES LIFE EASY ON MY PARENTS. I'D DEFINITELY BUY THIS ONE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS. IT'S GOT A VERY CLEAN LOOK AND VERY CLEAN FULL SOUND FOR MOVIES AND MUSIC. THE ONLY CON IS THE MANUAL DOESN'T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT PRESSING AND HOLDING THE SURROUND SOUND BUTTON TO ACTIVATE BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE VOLUME WITH THE CABLE/SAT TV REMOTE. ALL IN ALL ID GIVE IT 6 STARS IF I COULD.

I had an older Panasonic TV that needed audio help. This sound bar worked perfectly with it, especially since it allowed me to use my TV remote to control the volume on the sound bar using just the optical audio cable. I really didn't want a second remote for the sound bar. Quick and easy setup! Plug in two power cords, connect the optical audio cable to the TV and it just worked. I didn't even have to pair the subwoofer with the main unit. It came on right away. I did have to return an optical cable that I purchased separately because it wasn't clear from the packaging or the description that one comes with the sound bar. If I had read these review first, I would have known about it. Yes, remove the little rubber tips from the optical cable ends before connecting to the TV and sound bar! After things are working, it's worth tweaking settings with the supplied remote. The manual has great descriptions of what to do and the display on the front of the sound bar is a great help. You can use your TV remote to control the sound bar's volume if you have a VIZIO, LG, Sony, Sharp, PHILIPS, PANASONIC, TOSHIBA, GRUNDIG, Hisense, RCA. It may not work for all models, but it worked fine with my older Panasonic. I noticed an echo due to a mismatch in the delay of sound coming from the sound bar and my TV's speakers. There is an option to sync this up by changing a soundbar delay setting from 0-300 ms. I could not get this to make the echo go away, so I just disabled my TV's speakers using that option in the TV's setup menu. I don't miss them. Love the new sound!

We bought this yesterday. We wanted to replace an older system with the 5 speakers and a sub woofer and the DVD. We really didn't need all that hardware. So we went this way and we are very happy with the sound. And we can control everything with our dish remote. Setup was easy. We went with the included optical cable. That is the only place where setup was a small problem. I could not get the cable to lock into the soundbar or TV. I finally looked on the internet and found that a lot of people had the same problem with optical cables. It turns out what looks like a small light bulb on the end of the cable is simply a protective cap. Remove it from both ends and line the cable up making sure the two rounded corners line up with the outlet and poof it snaps right in. Piece of cake. I plugged in the sound bar and the sub woofer and when we turned on the TV the soundbar came right on and automatically paired with the sub woofer. Now every time we turn the tv on and off the soundbar turns on and off great!!!!!!! We have dish so I went in and got into the dish screen for remote manager, drilled down and picked Audio accessory. The code that worked is 2660. Now the soundbar is controlled from our dish remote.Then we just turned the volume on the TV down to zero with the TV remote. Now the dish remote turns the volume up and down on the soundbar and the mute works also. So we just store the TV and the soundbar remotes on the shelf behind the soundbar and run all with the one dish remote. Very happy with this and now all that clutter from the other speakers and all those wires are gone.

Awesome deal!!! Bought this soundbar for less than $150 on sale. I have a Samsung 4K tv and bought this to improve sound quality. Not disappointed one bit. Great clarity and bass for the price. Wish I woulda bought this when I bought the tv last Christmas. Cinema like sound.

We recently purchased a Samsung 60" Smart TV. The on-board sound was OK but nothing to rave about. After reading some reviews on this soundbar, I decided to purchase. It was on sale to boot! The sound is great...just the right amount of subwoofer to add the necessary oomph for movies. Connection with my Samsung Smart TV using SmartConnect was very easy and has been very reliable. This is a great soundbar for the money...especially if you have a Samsung Smart TV.

I purchased this to go with my Sony Bravia 65" TV and I couldn't be happier. I went to Best Buy in search of a Sony Soundbar, but saw this on sale and checked my phone app for reviews. The reviews were outstanding so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did. Not only did I save a ton of money, this thing is awesome. It installs in about 10 minutes and is very easy to do. It also will sync up to your Direct TV remote so you don't have the small remote that comes with it out all the time. I have a fairly large room (approx. 18' x 22') that I use this in and it fills it nicely. The sound is perfect. Happy Customer.

This Samsung soundbar and subwoofer was a Christmas gift. I had looked at them in the local stores and wanted to stay with the Samsung brand as my LED TV and Blu-ray player are also Samsung. The set up was simple and explained well in the instructions. My TV is pre bluetooth so I used the included optical cable. I opted to mount the soundbar to my entertainment center and the included template and brackets made it a snap. The wireless connection between the bar and subwoofer was automatic with no problems (trouble shooting instructions in the manual if problem arose) and the sound is amazing. This simple soundbar and subwoofer replaced my component stereo, speakers, and subwoofer and all the wires! The remote is small and works fine. As with most remotes there is a learning curve as which button does what. The soundbar turns off automatically (once set up) when the TV is turned off and the volume also works with the TV remote (again once set up). I have also used the bluetooth feature to play my iPod songs with no problems.

At this price, I can't imagine it getting any better than this. Our TV sounds AWESOME! At 300 watts, it sounds great! Black Friday deal makes it hard to beat. And I like that it tells you hello. Easy set up. I'm guessing the bad reviews are for people who had OTHER issues they had not solved yet.

We've always had surround sound, but usually through the older type of setups like a vintage receiver and huge speakers. They were high end products but just become harder to use with the speed of how much technology is changing. Our main issue was that we could only hook up our TV to the system, so our apps through the smart TV would not sync with the receiver, as well as our Apple TV and Roku. It was frustrating to only have superb sound when watching standard tv and nothing else, so we made the jump to this system. The soundbar is much smaller than our old system so I was weary about the quality, so I was completely shocked when we hooked it up and the output was just as good, if not better. The setup was very easy - just used the optical connection to hookup the speaker to the TV and it worked with the TV apps and cable. The Apple TV & Roku hook into the TV via HDMI and it easily communicates to the soundbar for premium sound via those systems too. Very impressed and thrilled we bought this item!

Extremely easy setup, wireless sub paired quickly and seamlessly. Sound is great for the price point. Only reason not getting 5 stars is that the Samsung TVConnect began failing after a few weeks and the audio would cut in & out so had to hardwire it but the cable came included so no extra trips to the store.

Compare to my Sony Bravia 5.1 1000 Watts it actually sounds pretty good. I have it set up in my living room the sound is crisp and clear and the base is very noticeable. For the price I'm very happy with the quality of the sound bar and subwoofer. Easy to set up.

I bought this open box item from bestbuy during blackfriday of 2016. its a great unit, nice treble and bass. the bass can be controlled via remote. wireless subwoofer is a good plus

Bought this as an open box item and have not been disappointed. Sound is clear, bass is deep. It's an excellent addition to my home theater without having to ruin a bunch of wires and I get movie quality sound from it.
