Not what I was expecting

I listened to the unit at Best Buy and looked at various reviews and went with the Samsung. After install I was underwhelmed at what is sounded, I was expecting something much more robust. In fact the Viso tv speakers has a similar frequency response and had a higher DB output. Anyway, returned to Best Buy for refund. If you could get this for like $100 it might be worth it, but not $230. Will need to replace receiver to get sound back to parity, hello Amazon,

Poor bluetooth

Music chops when I connect it to my iPhone with a distance of 5 feet. Also, this soundbar has very significant lag when playing bluetooth, If you ever try to play YouTube/Netflix when connected to bluetooth, audio will lag significantly behind.(I don't have this bluetooth lag issue with a cheap Vizio soundbar). Overall, I would purchase this only if I am never planning on using bluetooth.

Don't waste your money on this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Samsung soundbar w/ wireless sub woofer model # hw k450 and it is not what they say it is. To me I wasted my money on buying this and I will never buy another Samsung product again. I was told where I bought it at that all I had to do is buy a HDMI cable and plug it in to one of my two remaining HDMI input jacks and then into the soundbar on the back. I have tried to get support to help me figure out what I need to do to even hear this and I have not been contacted by them every time I emailed the company. The subwoofer is the cheapest subwoofer I have ever seen. You can't even hear any bass hardly through it unless you turn the volume up loud. SAMs club has one just like it and the day I bought this at Best Buy I and my wife went to SAMs club and I was very pleased with the one they had there. I paid $15.95 for a good HDMI cable and cannot use it . I had to use the optical cable to my tv to the soundbar to even hear it. It will be boxed up today and sold at a yard sale because they say it's to late to return it. I have 4 HDMI input jacks in the rear panel of my tv and they said to just hook up the HDMI cable to the back of the soundbar and all will work great. WRONG. people please don't waste your money buying this model

Missing Parts and Bad Customer Support

Called Customer support. She replied that it is usual to have some accessories missing in open box items. And that I will have to buy them separately. What a bad service. In the web site Best Buy had clearly mentioned that the open box item is in excellent condition and "Product looks brand new and includes all original parts and accessories.". Extremely disappointing. Best buy just lost a customer.

Poor Bluetooth Signal

As soon as I brought it home I connected it to my phone via Bluetooth and it was very skippy. I even tried connecting it to multiple other devices to see if it was just my phone, and each time it was just not good. I would expect better for $200...

Wouldn't power on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up not difficult. The time consuming part was getting it unboxed. Then, it just wouldn't power on, I made sure the batter was in correctly, I even changed out the battery. I unplugged and re-plugged, I switched power cords from subwoofer to sound bar as the subwoofer was receiving power just fine. I tried turning it on, manually, from the side of the soundbar instead of using the remote, no luck. Samsung Tech Support just wanted me to do all that same checking all over again. They determined the soundbar was the problem and told me they would set up a service call, but, I would have to take the unit in to the service provider. If I was going to have to lug it to a service provider, why wouldn't I just box it right back up and return it? I will be returning it. They, obviously, have very poor QC in their manufacturing plant.

A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel, which will indicate the unit is on. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos) It is not uncommon that customers instead are placing the bar with the logo facing them (instead of up), which results in the display being face-down on the table, hidden from sight and thus not showing that the unit is on.

Bad Open Box?

It sounded tinny and off center. I'm not sure if this was because it was an open box that was originally returned because it was faulty or if that is just how the product sounds.

I contacted samsung and after walking me thru some possible fixes, they agreed to replace the remote control. that was about 4 months ago! i've contacted them 5 times now and each time is like starting over again, except that now the automated answering machine knows my name. The latest representative said it will take 3 weeks to process the order, sorry for the inconvenience, no there is no manager to talk to, this is what you get. total frustration!

Dead out of the box

Poor sound and quality.

Despite what the Best Buy associate claimed. 2. Optic cable supplied by Samsung constantly falls out. 3. HDMI doesn't register my XBOX One S half the time. I have to unplug the unit and do a hard reboot. Off/On doesn't get it working. 4. $40 LG computer speakers are louder and supply more bass than this over priced wall decoration. I have never purchased a worse product from Samsung, but it will be the last piece of sound gear I ever purchase with a Samsung logo.

Taking it back

weak bass, can hardly hear it

If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. Don't waste your time and money

Then I noticed that the unit was still on even though I was sure I'd turned it off. I sat and watched and sure enough the 'hello' message was coming on 2-3 minutes after I'd hit the off button. Did some research and this was a huge issue on a couple of their prior models. Then the subwoofer blue tooth stopped working. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Returning this and getting another brand. Glad I didn't get the Samsung TV.

Great clarity NO bass

Horrible

No Power ... twice

BBuy made that easy .... new one ... no power at sound bar ..... I'm out ... returning today for another product. Too bad, as I have had great luck with Samsung products ... both for home and office. The back and forth exchanges is a pain and I now have 5X as much time invested into this, supposedly simple project.

One reason could be how the soundbar was placed on the table, entertainment unit, etc. A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up toward the ceiling. No control of volume, worked ok for first 2 years.

This is a problem that has plagued Samsung sound bars and televisions for some time now. Very annoying. Customer service will not help out. Warranty is only 1 year. This was a waste of $300.00. I am now going to spend the extra money any purchase a Sonos sound bar. Regret not doing that earlier.

Doesn't live up to the hype.

The subwoofer was barely noticeable. The sound was clear coming out of the bar but but still not as clear as my old one. Returned this because it's not worth the money. Even at a Black Friday deal.

Good soundbar but bad bluetooth play

On Bluetooth play it randomly misses and sometimes skips part of the song. Happens when your phone is about 7 feet from speaker. Some one suggested to have sub woofer close by, not very sure if it improved.

Buyer beware
