OK, but not needed

We were delayed in setting up the TV due to a delay in delivery of a tv stand. We used the tv for a couple of weeks before attaching the soundbar. Had we known that the tv's sound was adequate, we would not have purchased the soundbar. It does not make much difference in quality of sound, and the subwoofer doesn't work except on movies.

I recommend this soundbar

I can use my TV/STB remote to control volume which was important to me (vs having to use the soundbar remote like is sometimes the case). I could not direct wire the soundbar to have this flexibility - I had to use the Bluetooth connectivity. So for that limitation and vague directions regarding this issue I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

The way most of the TVs are now made, the speakers are in the back of the TV in order to give as much viewing space as possible. The soundbar provides better listening as it is not a tinny sound coming from an inferior speaker that is within the TV as well as making it easier to understand without it blaring.
