Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the sound quality, easy setup, price, and bass of the 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Audio. They appreciate the great sound system, especially for watching movies, and find the setup process incredibly easy. The price is considered reasonable for the value offered. Customers also enjoy the nice bass, which is suitable for high ceilings. On the downside, customers are negative about the volume, connectivity, remote control, room size, and wall mount. Some feel that the volume is insufficient and not loud enough. Others would have preferred an HDMI connection. There are complaints about the remote control's sound mode not functioning properly. Additionally, a few customers believe the soundbar might be more suitable for smaller rooms with carpet. The lack of included wall mounting brackets is also mentioned as a drawback.

Probably ok for a small room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can definitely hear a difference, but not the bigger difference I was looking for vs. television audio. Better with some adjustment, but mostly me becoming adjusted to the sound. May also be that I put it in a larger room than intended.

Good product for your money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar was a major upgrade from my previous Samsung soundbar purchased sever years ago. The kind quality is much improved and the subwoofer packs a nice bass punch. I would defintely recommend this sound bar to anyone who is looking for one at a fair price

So far, so good.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised with the 'depth' of sound of this Samsung sound bar. I've used it for better sound of the 'talking' on the TV, and it has done that well along with boosting the overall sound. So pleased with it, that when it came back on sale, I bought another one for the rec room.

samsung 2.1 ch 290w sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very good product. works very good in my bed room . Price was little more than Amazon but I don't like to buy anything from amazon because they don't treat distribution center employees very good and don't pay them very well. I love to buy from bestbuy only.

Crisp and clear sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Archived the purpose for which I bought it. Great, crisp and clear sound for my living room. Connects great with my Samsung tv. You just have to make a choice of how you want to connect-Bluetooth, HDMI or optical. For a 290W, you can’t go wrong with this soundbar and the price isn’t bad. I strongly recommend

Great Sound Bar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decides to use my reward certificate to purchase this sound bar and so happy I did. The sound has improved greatly on my monster Samsung 82" TV . I might add that the price was great. Just purchased the recommended bracket so will be installing soon.

Good buy for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better sound than the tv which is why I purchased this sound bar. Subwoofer helps as well but this unit is entry level. If you want more midrange sound a 5.1 channel would be your best bet. For the price, a very reasonable system to be able to hear better voice and not have to crank up to 45 on the tv.

Better sound than the tv
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was easy to set up, except for the hdmi connection to my tv. The optical connection works fine, but I haven’t been able to get the hdmi to work the way it’s supposed to. I may have to unplug everything and start over. For the most part, though this sound bar seems to work well with my Samsung tv.

Great sound for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system bangs. I have it set up in my garage and if turned up jus a little u can feel it inside the house. I live in a condo (basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor) the volume goes up to 100 and i keep it between 20-45. Anything more and its like a party

Sounds great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought one and was impressed with the sound so,got one for the bedroom. It’s just enough for a living room space that’s 30/30 and in smaller quarters. The bass and tremble are adjustable and the Bluetooth is nice. I would recommend this unit any day.

Awesome sound bar for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar can't be beat for the price. It is loud and has great quality. I updated the firmware to the sound bar but there is no change log from Samsung which is disappointing but at least a device as simple as this gets updated.

Movie theater sound...but only when loud.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a lot of variance of color on the sound. Yes there are bass/treble adjustments, but it only goes so far. And the ends either get too boomy or too bright and wide. Sub woofer doesn't add much until you really turn up the volume. Then the neighbors will let you know how good your speakers are!

Great buy. Very happy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm impressed with this sound bar given the price. I bought it for a living room about 15×12 and its perfect for the space. Has good bass, easy to set up, love that it comes on when I turn on the TV. I would buy again and have recommended to friends.

Disappointing Sound and Falsely Rated Wattage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I currently own an Insignia 2.1 system that is rated at 60 watts. When I came across this Samsung unit, it was on sale and advertised as having 290 watts so I decided to upgrade. As soon as I picked up the box, I had a bad feeling about this system because it was pretty light. Powerful speakers have heavier magnets and amplifiers, especially something with 290 watts. However, this Samsung unit weighed about the same as my 60 watt system. So that leads me to believe Samsung overrated the wattage and is misleading buyers with this product. The box also states “290 watts RMS” but if you know audio, you know how that doesn’t make sense. I tried using all sound modes on 2 different TVs and via Bluetooth with my phone. I tried Optical, HDMI, ARC and it still was not very loud, even when set full blast to 100. The EQ for bass and sub level also did not do much to help. The bass is pretty weak (comparing it to the advertised 290 watts). The subwoofer also limits the level output when the volume is turned up above 60, likely to prevent it from blowing the speaker. So for example, the bass when set to 40 was actually louder/deeper than when the system was turned up to 80. However when set to 40, you can’t hear the front speakers because the bass will drown it out. The only positives I liked was that the sound bar had a mini display and paired with ARC nicely. If you are buying this thinking that you are getting a powerful system, you are going to be highly disappointed. I’d only recommend this as an entry level sound bar for a small apartment or bedroom and nothing more. But there are better options out there that cost half of what this costs.

Nice product
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is good. It took a bit of work to pair it with my cable remote, but after a few tries it worked well. The sound control is a bit delayed in that it increases and decreases time volume slowly.

Nice sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a sound bar for a Samsung tv and searched reviews and came upon this soundbar. Very easy to connect and works perfectly with my Samsung tv. Sound is greatly improved over the tv speakers. Was about 5 minutes once I had everything unboxed.

Highly recommended soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic sound bar especially for the value. The subwoofer adds robust sound for movie watching along with Bluetooth connection making placement in the room easier. I also purchased a SamSung TV and the two integrated seamlessly.

Recommended if on sale
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely worth the sale price of 130. I came from a cheap $80 dollar walmart branded one. The sounds not going to blow you away, but it's rich and the base adds a little kick. Build quality is good; this brushed plastic and metal grill.

It's a good sound bar but not amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The audio is fine. I would flag that the subwoofer hardly turns on because cable TV doesn't send a signal with enough base so that the subwoofer turns on. If you're looking for something that makes movies have more bass (explosions, etc) this is probably not the best device for that.
