I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the overall volume of the soundbar. If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM audio on your TV. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)

Thank you for purchasing the HW-A430 Soundbar. As long as your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
Other manufacturer’s remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

Not an upgrade over built-in TV speakers

However, aside from the subwoofer, this doesn't seem like an upgrade at all. My main complaint is the soundbar just doesn't get very loud. I've tried different input sources - using both bluetooth and optical inputs. I've tried different cables, different audio settings, and different output settings from the TV, PS4, etc, but it doesn't make a difference. The built-in speakers get much louder and sound better than the soundbar.

Decent Sound Bar

It is decent for the price I got it for. I just wanted a basic sound bar and this worked just fine. I am not a huge fan of the power plug design as the connection is a bit awkward.

I missed the NFL conference playoffs and now it looks like I'll miss the Superbowl! Best Buy has FIFTEEN DAY return policy, yes, you read that right, FIFTEEN DAYS! Now I'm left to deal with Samsung's repair contractor and they can't give me a date when somebody will be out to fix it. BBBB (Best Buy Buyer Beware). No wonder everyone buys from Amazon!......wish I had.

Not good

I purchased this as a gift for my father in laws samsung tv thinking it would be great. Tv is about 10' away from couch and it is so low. I called the support and they were fantastic helping me set it up but no matter ehat we did it was low. Tv speakers did a better job then this. So disappointed with this purchase. I have erything samsung in my house and this was such a bummer. I honestly dont think this would be good for a small bedroom.

Very disappointed

High-pitch ring

I wish I could use that without the soundbar. The soundbar has a horrid high-pitch ring to it when it is playing anything. It gives me a headache. It's much less noticeable when playing music, but when watching tv or playing video games it is awful. I have a more expensive soundbar from Samsung that I LOVE. I recommend spending a little more money. You'll be glad you did.

Samsung soundbar and wireless woofer

Samsung finally told us if blue light wasn't on on soundbar, it was defective. This was after about 3 hours on phone with Geek squad and another 3 hours on phone with Samsung. Returned to store on 12/27/2021 for refund.
