    Has very little volume at all. It’s either the tv(which is louder) or the sound bar.

      Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-A430. We appreciate your feedback regarding the audio performance of your soundbar.

      This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Bass Boost mode to instantly amplify the bass with a touch of a button. You can try manually optimizing your settings by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, or BASS BOOST.

      You can further adjust TREBLE via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

      There are two additional adjustments that can be made for bass and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics. With the sound mode set to Standard, press, and hold the Sound Control button for about 5 seconds. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.

    Was great while it was working. Then, right after the two year protection plan expired it, stopped working entirely. Power is not getting it to it.

    Doesn't work with EVERY Samsung TV...

    I was told I could control the volume of this with the TV remote because I have a Samsung TV. This is NOT accurate. You have to have a Samsung TV with bluetooth capabilities. I had to dig REALLY deep to find this out. Had to return this and get a sounder with a HDMI output to be able to control the volume with remote. Sad that this didn't work!

      Hi ForTheLoveOfLink,

      TV remotes have to be enabled on your soundbar. By default, Samsung TV remotes are enabled on your soundbar. If it isn't working, be sure the soundbar is powered on, then press and hold the WOOFER button up until ON - TV REMOTE appears on the display (about 5 seconds).

    I bought this sound bar set and I was happy but then it started turning on and off in the middle of the night. I actually have to unplug it when not in use. I have another sound bar set in the living room and that one doesn’t turn on and off at random. I leave the remote on a night stand next to my bed and I simply don’t understand why this is happening. Very annoying!!

    Seldom has some issues connecting to my tv after I connect a different bluetooth device. Otherwise a great product.

    setting up was difficult but it does the job since televisions dont have a decent speaker in them any longer, which they should!!!

    I want to start by saying the system works great, once you get it setup. But in order to get it connected to a Samsung TV took too much time. The instructions provided were for a different model sound system. All in all, once installed I have been enjoying it. I would recommend, as long as you have some patience with setting it up.

    Connecting was a little iffy, but once it’s done. Your good to go. I’m listening to it now as I write this. This is my personal little movie theater, disco, club/ lounge in my room.

    Defective Soundbar

    I called and spoke with someone that I couldn't understand at Samsung for almost an hour because the soundbar wouldn't connect to my tv, which is about 6 months old. He couldn't help me and now I have to send the soundbar back to Samsung. This purchase came with a horrible experience.

      There are a few things you may want to check if using the Bluetooth connection:

      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves should be kept away from the Soundbar main unit - e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.
      3) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-A430 on the Samsung website.

      Alternatively, you can use the included digital optical audio cable for a quick and easy connection to a compatible TV.

    If you like your neighbors complaining about the subwoofer this is the subwoofer for you, also the controls on it too late to lower the server FYI
