    Difficult setup and sound was terrible. Returned it and spent the extra on Polk Audio

    The TV sounds louder than this soundbar. Returned it same day for a Sony HT-S400.

    Don’t buy it’s crap, subwoofer has no volume tried over and over

      Hi RonJames,

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-A430 and for sharing your review. We appreciate the feedback you have provided regarding your experience with the included wireless subwoofer. Please make sure the soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly.

      When powered on for the first time, subwoofer should automatically connect to the soundbar wirelessly. If the auto-connection process fails, you can try manually connecting the sub to the soundbar.

      Before performing the manual connection procedure, check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly and make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.

      Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

      One connected, there are three adjustments that can be made for bass and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      3) Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select BASS BOOST mode. This will provide you with a larger emphasis on bass sound.

    Very easy set up, sounds amazing. Decent volume, perfect for large living rooms. Only slight flaw was the power cords being a little short but other than that, best $130 I’ve ever spent!

    Cyber Monday deal, discounting the price. I committed to a sound bar, because the vocals on the Samsung TV are not anchored in the center, and very distinct. Setup was a snap, using an optical input on the TV, the separate remote allows you to adjust both the sound bar and Subwoofer volume separately. Would recommend as an addition to a Samsung TV.

    I purchased the sound bar after speaking with samsung support to verify it was compatible with their TV. Answer was yes. Purchased the sound bar connected optically to TV selected speaker setting for digital. no sound. Created another case with samsung for technical support went through all the trouble shooting process. reset TV to defaults bla bla bla. still no sound. Tech said they would escalate the case to next level support would be 24 to 48 hours. that was over a week ago. So before I couldn't take the sound bar back (due to return policy) i packed it up and returned it. Samsung support is basically worthless. this is the second time i purchased a samsung sound bar and needed technical support to get it to work. I would like to think I am pretty tech savvy. Would not advise to use this sound bar or samsung TV for that mater. I have 4 samsung tv's and this is the last one I will be buying. I am sorry for best buy that due to lack of support from samsung I had to return sound bar. Hard to believe samsung product is not compatible with another samsung product especially when they say it is. Not a big Sony fan but when i purchased their TV and sound bar it was all plug and play. No wonder Samsung kept pushing sound bar over 2 times the price. Buyer beware. But on a good not for it the sub woofer and speaker connected via blue tooth. but still no sound.
