Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since this is my first Soundbar, it's perfect so far! I was able to connect it to my Onn. Roku tv with the optical cable. I had some trouble at first, but I went to Audio - speakers - then chose optical or for other Roku Tvs you may just have to choose 'Off' (in case anyone else has this problem). The only issue I'm having is with the volume, I have to get up and turn it up/down from the sound bar. I haven't figured how to work that yet from the remotes. The sound sounds great!

The reason I didn’t give it five stars is I have to turn the sound bar up really load to hear and also have to turn my TV down to use this device because they will play at the same time. I’m unsure if it’s because if my set up or the device! Otherwise, I love the movie sound quality I get!

Ridiculous Waste of Time and Money

I’m in IT and this product is the biggest waste of money ever. It’s impossibly difficult to get the soundbar to link via Bluetooth to the (Samsung) TV. Once it does link and you power the soundbar down, the TV looses the link. The remote is so NOT user friendly - button markings are far from intuitive and the instruction book is laughably simplistic. No real instructions and no real troubleshooting guide.

To assist you in the functions and settings of your new soundbar, you can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-A430 under A Series.
This will show you exactly how to use the remote, any troubleshooting needed and what all of the sound modes will offer you.
