It doesnt get too loud passing a certain volume but the indicator still goes up 40 more notches. So whats the point. Great product but could be louder.

There were no setup or operating instructions to speak of. I had to call Samsung tech support in order to get it setup, and the deal breaker was that the volume level cannot be adjusted when connected via optical audio. You are stuck with one volume level unless you use HDMI connection. The product only comes with an optical cable, no HDMI, and I had no available HDMI ports anyway, so ended up returning it.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung HW-A430 Soundbar and for sharing these experiences that have caused you to return your unit. Your experience is very important to us and will be shared with our product team.
If you ever consider purchasing our soundbars again in the future, you can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can type in your model number of the soundbar.
If your soundbar is connected to your TV with an optical cable, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote.
1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
Other manufacturer’s remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

While this one will turn off and on with the TV remote, I have not been able to get it to control the volume. All in all it seems to be a good sound bar.

Was between one with the wireless sub and one without and based on the room layout, I went with the wireless. This works great. Was a present for my dad and he uses it everyday with his TV. A Samsung for the price of a cheaper brand.

Also the hardware quality is great. It womt scratch or rip the outside layer film and not to mention the sound…. Soon as i turned on the tv, sounded like a movie theater
