Bad Motherboard

The worst was when the grill came on and there was a plastic cover in the microwave. Luckily we stopped it before it went to far. It turns out it was a bad motherboard. The bottom screen pops out often.

We are glad we took the advice since we use it all the time to warm up Pizza, Fries etc. that puts the extra crunch back on top.

We are a two-person household and rarely use the microwave; in fact, I doubt it has 20 hours of service in that time. About a month ago, it started randomly beeping and running. We followed the online support recommendation to unplug and reset, but it didn't solve the problem. After having to call service, they came to my home (at a cost of $179) to only tell me that the door/control panel should be replaced. The technician performed no diagnostics nor attempted any repair. After order the new door, the cost exceeded the replacement cost of the unit, which we only did because the original $179 fee was applied to the replacement door. This is clearly a product defect as it has been reported by other owners and confirmed by the service tech. Despite my request to Samsung, they would not reimburse me. It's not unreasonable to expect a microwave with minimal use to last more than 2 years.

All food whether fresh or frozen comes out with moist texture never dry! So happy we purchased this microwave! Love the color no fingerprints with very easy wipe down!

About a month ago we started hearing a random beep from the microwave when no one was in the kitchen. The screen on the microwave displays the number 7 and instructs you to enter Start or OK. About a week ago, the Vent fan will randomly turn (HIGH) on when no one is in the kitchen. Before calling Samsung for service, I checked online and found 30 pages of complaints on the Samsung Community board for the same issue with no long term resolution. According to the Samsung Moderator, you should un-plug the microwave and plug it back in. Other Samsung customers have had the door and motherboard replaced only to have the issue return.

Perfect microwave

A microwave is a microwave however this one is the exception to the rule. It has a grilling feature that separates it from its competitors and worth every penny.

I don't like the display at all as it is so are, you have to wait for it to scroll across to read the selection. We are returning it for a new GE Advantium.

Luckily we were able to find a place for it in our custom cabinets (we are not using the vent feature). Anyway, havent used all of the heating features yet, but i'm sure it will work great.

Love the controls on glass front
