Like the touch controls on the bottom.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the touch controls on the bottom of the microwave and the vent is very powerful but our main problem with it is that for a 1000 W unit it takes forever to heat items. Not sure if it is because the inside of the unit is larger or what but ex. in my old unit oatmeal took 2 min 45 sec. this one takes close to 4 min. for the same amount. Again I like the looks but with the black glass makes it hard to see in to check on something, you have to open door to check. Over all I give it a 2.5 rating

Not happy

The turntable falls off the holder and ends up in the corner of the microwave. When you hit 30 seconds, you have to hit start. My old microwave you just had to hit 30 seconds and it would start automatically, I don't like it!

Already needs to be replaced

I'm guessing I'm going to have to replace it. Sadly the one I had wasn't even broken but I was buying a new Samsung range & wanted them to match.

Poor Build Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We are calling it quits on this microwave after 3.5 years, one replaced door, and another two replaced door handles. The buttons have always been slow to acknowledge multiple presses. 2-3 seconds are needed between button presses in order to enter cook time or other parameters. After the original door was replaced under warranty, the door handles had a tendency to break at their connection points. Replacement parts are no longer available and my lovely wife made a mess out of an adhesive repair attempt. The quality/durability of my entire suite of Samsung appliances has left me very displeased. After 3.5 years, we are replacing the entire kitchen with another brand of appliances known for better quality. Please don't confuse the lowest initial price with the best value.

Not recommended. Control button failures.

However, after a couple months we started noticing that some of the buttons began pressing themselves randomly! This was weird, but the microwave never started running on it's own, so we lived with the occasional weirdness. Now some of the buttons stopped working entirely. This is a pretty expensive microwave, and failure of the control buttons after only a year and a half is unacceptable.

Do not consider this microwave

Have had this unit for over two years and it has broken down three times. I am so glad that I bought the extended warranty. If you decide to buy this unit, I suggest getting the extended warranty. Your’e going to need it. The Geek Squad has labeled it a “lemon” and now tomorrow I will be going back to get another unit that doesn’t have any touchscreen technology.

Dead twice in 18mo

It was dying before the year was up - random entries were being keyed into the cook time with nobody touching it. Probably a grounding issue with the door PCB. The Geek Squad replaced the door on July 18, 2018 and its almost dead again in Dec 2018. The keyboard randomly locks up now, sometimes the fan and/or light will just turn on automatically. If you get this, get the 5yr service plan, you will need it. I think they have a bunch of college grad engineers designing these boards.

The handle on this microwave is now broken as well. These appliances are pretty to look at, but cheaply made. I would not recommend these to anyone.

ghostly microwave JUNK

It would come on with lights, then the fan, then wouldn't respond when pushing off or cancel button. I had to unplug it to shut it off. I paid almost $500 for this microwave and IT IS JUNK. I thought this was a good brand as I bought the complete kitchen package 2 appliances are acting up after 1 year of owning.

Randomly presses buttons

Not happy with this microwave.
