nice looking but disappointed

Got the microwave home and it worked pretty well for about six months. But then it would randomly beep and put seven seconds up on the screen, asking me to "Push OK or Start". We would push the buttons, it would run the seven seconds and be fine....only to do it multiple times throughout the day and night. Samsung excepted our claim, we returned it, bought the same one hoping it was just the one microwave. With in five days, the new one was doing the same thing. I looked at the reviews more detailed, and there are many people who have had the same exact problem. Samsung does not seem interested in fixing the problem. There are not many options of other microwaves by the same brand and color....so we will probably by elsewhere.

Purchased 2 years ago and major issues

The fan kicks on by itself and doesn't shut off unless manually turned off. The timer turns itself on to seven and asks user to press OK like its been set when it hasn't been. For the cost of this item, it is very disappointing and even more discouraging after now researching I discover these issue have persisted on Samsung microwaves for some time now. Why there hasn't been a recall is beyond me and a questionable safety practice by the company. What if I was out of town for a week and the fan turned on? I was looking at Samsung TVs and will no longer consider one for purchase

Bad products and worst Geek Squad services.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product over a year ago, at first it work wonderful and almost 3 weeks ago stop working. I call the geek squad for service since I have warranty for the product. The first technician came out and spend 10 min at the most and make an assessment with out dismounted the microwave of its place and said that he will order some pieces to fix it. One the prices arrived and the second technician came out and he was wonderful. He took his time and remove the microwave from his place opened the microwave and told me that the first technician should had opened the body of the microwave to Make the assessment and that since the first technician didn't assist the situation he will have to order some parts to make the microwave work again. Now we have a 3 technician coming out in a week to see if he can fix it. In the mean time I have to take time for work so they can come out to the house and nothing. Disaster of customers service and lack of empathy from the technicians.

Bad Door

Died at 37 months

Slow & loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best buy has already replaced this unit twice. Overall, it is very slow to cook, and gets slower. I can no longer follow cooking instructions - I have to guess. Something as simple as a frozen muffin which took 30 seconds in my old microwave (and is the instruction cooking time) takes 50 seconds and sometimes is still half frozen. Over just a few months, cooking times have already increased.

Very Dissapointed

It will NOT heat up the two plastic bottles of water I use every night, no matter how long I leave them in. Why in the world would it not heat water in bottles??? I can pour the water in a cup and it heats fine, but not in the plastic bottle. Even using the Cook-Liquid feature it won’t heat. Since I heat these every day, the microwave is worthless to me. 2. The controls, which are built into the glass, do not light up. We have to use a flashlight at night or turn on the overhead light. Why would they make controls you can’t see? 3. It does not have any quick keys, like touch 1-6 and it starts for 1-6 seconds. You have to hit 2-0-0-Start for it to run for two minutes. Our microwaves from 20 years ago had that! Even the “add 30 seconds” button requires you to hit start. Ridiculous. 4. It is NOT white, even though it is called “White Glass”. It is off white and looks dingy next to my white appliances. 5. The underneath lights are little circuit boards and not easily replaceable and they are stark white. They look ridiculous. I love my Samsung TVs but I will never buy an appliance made by them again.

Pig with lipstick on

Weve had the microwave a little over a year and all of a sudden it stopped heating food. Ive tried checking settings, resetting, cant figure out what could possibly be wrong. Waste of money especially for a household that rarely uses the microwave.

Starts On Own

Everything worked fine until a few months in when it started to register "7" on its own. Eventually it became a regular occurence. I contacted Samsung with no resolution. At one point it registered 77:77 and started on its own. Taking this info to Samsung, they wound up "fixing" it under warranty. They sent someone out to replace the door as it was a known issue and that was the "fix." We didnt have any more iasues until recently it started registering "7" on it's own again. After contacting Samsung numerous times, they wouldn't do anything as it was out of warranty. I sent them threads to this common occurence alomg with info about it starting on its own. They still refused to do anything to rectify this. So we replaced it with an LG microwave.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buttons are unresponsive, and there's no quick button like 1 minute and it just turns on or 30 seconds. The 1 mutton does 1 second so for 1 minute you would push 1,0,0, start and because the buttons are hard to press it can take 6-8 presses to start the microwave for 1 minute which should be 1 button. Even the 30 second button doesn't start the microwave you still have to push start so again because of terrible touch screen buttons 4-5 press's 30 sec, 30 sec , start. Imagine if I wanted 2 minutes are needed to add on a minute... The features they tried to build in are terrible also to 2arm up 2 hot dogs using the kids menu. Press kids, press 4 (if you memorized or press the arrow 3 times then press "ok" the press 2 for 2 hotdogs then press start. That's too complicated samsung. Microwave should be wave simpler and easier to use. Your not programing a rocket ship just warming up some food.

Don’t Do It!!!!

We had to replace our 5 year old microwave the day after Thanksgiving and it’s worked 3 days since. They come out, “fix it” and it breaks or show up with a defective part and can’t fix it. We’ve had 3 repair appointments and the 4th no showed. They’re refusing to replace or refund it now because they have to have someone else verify it’s defective. Our refrigerator ice maker line has frozen up as have 2 of my coworkers, our dishwasher panel went out about a week past the warranty and the first microwave died after 5 years and the replacement has worked 3 days in 2 months. Buy any other brand!!

Could be better

Only way to repair it is to replace the entire door ($250). The buttons are unable to handle steam from the stove. Buy a microwave with the buttons on a side panel so that you don't have to replace the entire door.
