Purchased Samsung black stainless fridge, range, dishwasher & microwave. Appliances looked beautiful; however, within one month, I noticed a chip on both the fridge and dishwasher. The black stainless is only a coating and when chipped or scratched, the silver shows through. I returned everything for regular stainless.

The fridge itself is really awesome when I bought it the icemaker didn't work Samsung does not stand behind their manufactures warranty I would not recommend Samsung appliances thank you very much to Best Buy in their team for getting it fixed for me no thanks to Samsung

I returned this fridge for a different one that works better for us.

Started freezing the food 3 years and 3 months after purchase, requiring repair. Of course, this was 3 months after the 3 year extended warranty ran out. Repaired a few months after original purchase as well. I'm done with Samsung fridges.

Ordered 28cubic ft. In this model based on the dimensions they gave me. When I got it it was the wrong size so I had to get this one at 600 dollar more charge. This was due to their screw up. Service with Best Buy is starting to go to pot. Maybe just my local branch though. Fridge is now too small. Quality is good though.

I love the showcase door and accessibility. I wish the freezer area was deeper for baby back ribs and value packages of meat. Disappointed with the slow ice dispenser but knew about it from the reviews. Like that I can get ice & water at same time but guess what the water is faster, like a jet stream. Best not to put too many heavy (glass) condiment jars in the door as it gets heavy and slams closed.

Super flimsy stainless that dents if you blow on it. Samsung appliances are super cheap quality and my microwave controls are so defective. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. They should recall all their appliances.

I looked at every fridge on display. Was wanting to replace my fridge that had the freezer on bottom which I hated because it just stacks food on top of each other and you can't find anything so a side by side was what I wanted but I wanted a sleek up to date-modern look and this is the only one that looked that way. I went with counter debt even though I really wanted the deeper one for obvious reasons of more storage and the price is the exact same. However, it would of stuck out to far and looked silly in my kitchen. That being said I find this to be plenty of room and haven't even filled up the quick access door storage yet which is awesome. The install didn't go to well. The next day my freezer looked like an ice and snow storm went off in there so that was disappointing. I do get some frost in the freezer and am trying to figure out why it's doing that. But for looks and storage it's just awesome.

We bought this Samsung side by side refrigerator to replace an LG french door model we returned due to a defect. It's been in use a few days now and we are very pleased with this Samsung. It's quiet and the showcase door is very convenient. We also like the black stainless finish... much more resistant to fingerprints than regular stainless. And the front will work with magnetic decorations, unlike the LG. The counter depth fits our kitchen very well. So far, it has met our expectations and we can recommend this Samsung side by side.

Died after 1.5 years, ice maker stopped working after 6 months.

Love this fridge and the showcase door...never had stainless steel before....very sleek, but wiping it down constantly due to fingerprints....doesn't matter though, love it anyways.

This is the highest spec counter depth frig available IMO. This frig has a variable speed compressor, and environmental monitors inside & outside the frig. These result in a very tight hold on inside temps, a very quiet machine, and low power use. The WiFi phone App (Android or Apple) works and shows power used and compares to past months. The App can control some frig functions, but I wish it showed and tracked inside temps. The App is for local use only. The only noise I hear from the frig is when the ice maker dumps a load of ice (ice falling). Once the ice holder partially fills even this gets quiet. All materials are high quality. It has plenty of access and storage options. Water and ice "in door" work as expected. Control panel on door is easy to use. I'm an engineer and I'm impressed.

We have this "built in" for counter depth. Looks great and we do use the showcase door quite a but, mostly for condiments. Runs quiet and has great interior lighting.

This refrigerator is awesome! Such a nice upgrade from my old Whirlpool. Love its sleek design with the recessed handles. I really love the color and finish. Unlike other stainless fridges, this one shows NO fingerprints whatsoever. So quiet that if it weren't for the very nice digital display, I wouldn't even know it was on. Very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful, easy to install, use and been dependable. I didn't care so much for the ShowCase door at first but now I love it. Bought in 2017 and still in use today.

Purchased this fridge about 6 months ago, it has plenty of space to store food and is energy efficient. My one and only complaint is the ice distributor. When the setting is on crush, the lever gets stuck with ice and takes a while to distribute. Not only does it get stuck but the ice sticks to the sides, and in doing so, the hole for the ice to come out becomes blocked. Now I have to keep the ice maker on whole ice for this not to occur but still takes a while to distribute. The fridge would be perfect if it did not have this flaw, especially when needed during the summer.

This refrigerator is beautiful! It looks great inside and outside. We love the built in handles. We have a narrow walkway and regular counter depth fridges have handles that stick out and use up a few more inches. This one gives us more walking room. The ice maker has a rotating handle that clears up stuck ice quickly. The room is much more than we imagined in a side by side fridge. The freezer and refrigerator temperatures work well. The 4 out 5 stars for performance is for 2 things: the ice and water dispensing is a little slow. It makes plenty of ice, but it comes out slowly. Also, the refrigerator door is very heavy, so it is heavy when it closes and shakes the fridge a little. Other than that, no complaints. We do not use the computer features (connecting to our cell phones, etc. so I can't review that. We have this unit for 6 months with no problems so far.

WE have a poorly designed kitchen. This fridge gave us a full 8 inches more space between our island and its door. Although it's smaller than the fridge we replaced, we have that one in our basement for auxiliary storage (we are a household of 6). The doors do get a bit heavy when loaded down but I've had this for a couple of months now and am used to it. No problems with water (old GE water line kept freezing--had to defrost with hair dryer), ice, noise, or temp. I am very happy with the choice we made.

Just purchased the unit and thought I would chime in on it early. After doing extensive homework for counter depth sized refrigerators this is the one to select. It has the best mechanical features and conveniences available. You can review other manufactures with different layouts that may be better for you though. I will say WATCH THE DETAILS as there are quite a few that lack "crushed ice", complete filtration of BOTH water and ice, or don't have energy efficient mechanisms. Noise was another detail often glossed over. This also would seem to be a fridge made for "men" as it seems to appeals more to us than women (for what that's worth). I did purchase the 5 year replacement warranty just in case (it's a brand new Samsung device) and I'll report on it's durability as we go along.

I bought this back in May 2015 as part of a kitchen remodel. We liked the looks of the unit and size (counter-depth). All worked well until 1.5 years after purchase when the open door alarm began to go off very often. The door is not sealing tight with a normal push to close and one has always had to make a second push to close it tight. If not, the temperature inside would raise and the alarm (if on) would go off. I contacted Samsung to address the issues and their technician showed up and had no solution or offered possible causes. I had to pay the guy to show us and check on the unit. This is an ongoing nuisance. A second issue came up recently (3.5 years since purchase) when water dispenser slowly failed to provide water. I contacted Samsung again and their initial response was to contact a plumber to check water supply to the unit. I did that and found water supply and pressure were ok. I contacted Samsung again and it was a struggle for them to agree to send a Service Technician to check the refrigerator (which I will have to pay as it is out of warranty). In general, the unit looks good. On the limited size of things, space distribution is not ideal. Luckily, we kept our older LG refrigerator in the garage. That has provided extra storage. Samsung customer care and product warranty are not good, so I suggest getting the extended warranty.
