I purchased this item during black Friday, I love the concept of not having to open the whole door to the fridge. I like the digital screen and the fridge is pretty silent, while some fridges are loud. I recommend this fridge to everyone interested in it.

Very stylish and low, counter-depth profile. You can control the freezer and refrigerator temperatures from the controls on a sleek panel on the front. The freezer is very ample but the refrigerated section may be too small for large dishes or large family.

Response to negative reviews first. Door slams? Properly level the unit. Beer not cold enough? Seem cold enough to me with my unit and I'm still not on the lowest setting. Noisy? Not mine although you can hear the ice drop. Minor quibbles: The shelf heights in the door only offer two shelves in which to store objects beer bottle size or taller. The water filter warning light seems to gauge elapsed time rather than filter usage. Not a problem if you consider the red indicator a "feature"! Review caveat: we don't have the ice maker active much, can't comment on its durability. I suspect it will last much longer if you do not use it to "crush". We've tried that and it makes a grinding sound. (Ha, ha.)

The one I received had a slide/fold shelf which allows room for a 2 liter bottle to stand inside the fridge area (floor model I saw didn't have this, so I'm happy for the surprise). My kids and husband are rough on things and the flimsy plastic on other fridge brands I knew would break (just like our old fridge). This model has what seems to be thick durable plastic. This was the only fridge that had this, and is the main reason I chose it. There's no space in the fridge that can't be used because of the large door drawers. The ONLY thing I don't like is I can't rearrange the shelves. They should have it where you can arrange them however you want with extra tracks. Ice maker is working great. Water comes out fast which is good because I'm impatient.

Have had this refrigerator for just over 7 months now, no problems except about every 2 months the icemaker stops working. We have used the reset button and that seems to fix the problem for now. Just annoying because you don't expect this to happen on a fairly new appliance.

I've had bad experiences with Samsung products and support in the past. This is the first Samsung product I've purchased in a decade. Happily, this fridge has performed above expectations. Easy to use features. We love the showcase door. Owing to my past experience with Samsung, We purchased the most comprehensive warrantee from Best Buy but have not needed it as of yet.

Was good for the first 3 years. In year 4, the ice machine had yo be replaced. Now 4 1/2 years in, the compressor and cooling system is caput. Its cheaper to buy a new fridge. This is ridiculous!

The ice maker on this refrigerator has a mind of its own as to what it will dispense as for cubed ice or crushed ice. It has been set to cubed since purchase and it is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what your going to get when you put you glass under the dispenser door. One time it may be fine with getting cubed and then next time you will get crushed. Samsung Customer Service says it is an ice jamb issue in the dispenser door within the bin that causes cubes to get into the crusher blades and to empty the entire bin of the cubes to clear out the jamb. REALLY!! Even the so called factory service center basically says the same thing, that it is a poor design and there is nothing that can be done for it. They also said it is common on all Samsung dispensers along with the LG brand. Just need now to decide on returning it for something different, or get my money back and shop elsewhere.

Really like the fridge, cools great and fast. My following comments are observations, not problems: The showcase door works fine, but it takes away some space, and we find that items get "lost" in the main part, because I mostly use the showcase door. Had the fridge a year now. I will say that the ice dispenser is slow to cycle on when putting a glass to get ice. Also, a little problem with crushed ice jambing. Old fridge better on both ice points. I bought this model, because it's made in Korea. Reviews of other Samsung's made elsewhere had lower reliability ratings. Had I been able to buy a Korean made side by side Samsung, I would have preferred that, but after a year no issues, so pleased with my Korea decision. Third fridge I've owned, first one, Frigidaire lasted 25 years with never a repair. The other, Kenmore,18 years, with 3 significant repairs. I'm hoping for this one to match the Frigidaire.

Replaced our refrigerator with this purchase and so-far-so good. There is ample space to store your stuff and it is relatively quite. Not as quite as our old fridge, but close enough. One of the slide-out doors broke after 3 days and had a service person come out. It was a hustle to get Samsung to send this repair technician. Overall, we are satisfied with the purchase

This was our first big purchase for our new house and it has been a perfect buy. Not only does the showcase door help simplify fridge use, it also adds a certain level of child proofing we did not expect.

I love this refrigerator. I keeps items in the door COLD. It is easy to locate items in the refrigerator. The ice and water dispensers are so much better than my old refrigerator's. A review has a comment about the water dispenser dripping the water. Read the owners manual. I believe the owners manual "sez" to keep the glass/cup under the dispenser for at least one second. I have no complaints about the refrigerator, sales staff, or the delivery service. I only wish I had bought it sooner. Thank you - Great job!

I bought this fridge in December 2014. It's thermostat would never set correctly. Geek Squad tried fixing it twice with no luck and I got a replacement of the exact model. 4 months later - the fridge part of it starts freezing its contents. I was told to 'reboot' the fridge. I did so and it fixed it. 2 months later it is the opposite - the fridge side now doesn't cool at all and a bunch of food is thrown out. I've had fridges I paid $600 for that performed better than this worthless thing!! I'll buy Samsung TVs and phones but I'm not touching ANY SAMSUNG appliance like washers, dryers, fridges etc!! NEVER AGAIN!

I researched refrigerators thoroughly before purchase. None are perfect, but I thought this one would be fine. It had a high rating, was very quiet, and generally buyers seemed happy with it. It was delivered on a Saturday, one day late. About an hour after the delivery men left, it started a noise that sounded like we had an airplane or a semi parked in our driveway. The noise was very low decibel with a lot of vibration. It was worse when a door of the refrigerator was opened. I was not able to sleep while the unit was operating, it was that loud. Best Buy agreed to exchange the unit which has not yet happened. Second issue is that though we have followed the instructions concerning the water and ice in the door (discarding 2 containers of ice, flushing water through the line for 6 minutes)--both water and ice have a horrible chemical taste. There is no sense to pay for the ice and water in the door feature if they taste this bad. No one wants to use it! Third issue is that the refrigerator itself seems to list to the freezer side. It leans about 3/4 inch from top to bottom. Leveling is possible in the front feet, but the instructions say to use pieces of wood to level in the back. The leveling feature does not help this leaning tower. Stay tuned for a report to see if refrigerator #2 is loud, leans to the side, or has bad tasting water.

Just received this refrigerator from Best Buy and found out the next day it was leaking in the back. I know exactly the part that is leaking which is the PEX tube coming from within the refrigerator. I offered to repair the part myself if they sent it to me. But support said since I had the refrigerator for such a short period of time, I need to take it up with the store!!! I contacted the store and they said they can't send anyone out for 2 weeks!!! I've decided to return the product instead and never to buy Samsung again.

This is more about the purchase experience. Best Buy is the best place to buy anything. The sales people really help you get the best price through price matching. They also have the latitude to ask management to discount further. The Samsung refrigerator is beautiful. The features and quality for the price is terrific. Samsung reviews very well in the major appliance arena. I will write another review when my refrigerator is delivered and installed - free by the way.

This is a nice refrigerator it is working well . I had been looking for a refrigerator small and modern for over 3 years to replace the one I had , however I am satisfy with the purchase . I received compliments from a lots of people that this refrigerator is beautiful and they said they liked it. I took a 5 years warranty to be safe.

I am very disappointed with the showcase. Great look but, not designed for storage. Shelves are so short , and there is a space behind each shelf where everything slips thru. Shelves do not hold any tall bottles.The ice maker is the worse. It takes all day to produce six cups of ice. If you keep a lot in your fridge, please check out before buying. I am going to exchange for another model.
