Customers are saying

Customers value the quiet operation, counter depth design, and spacious interior of the 22.3 Cu. Ft. Counter Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door Ice Maker. Many appreciate the additional space, efficient design, and LED lighting. However, some customers have concerns about the noise from the ice maker, limited drawer space, short warranty coverage, frequent water filter changes, and limited capacity compared to full-size refrigerators.

I have had the refrigerator for 6 weeks. The ice maker is already broken. I have watched the u tube videos and been on the phone with Samsung twice so know it is truly broken and am waiting for the service call. Read Samsung reviews before buying. I should have!

I bought a out of bot refrigerator 0n Oct 15 2016. The service I received from your store was excellent. The refrigerator has a defective flap between the ice maker and the dispenser. Both the people in you store and I have tried to resolve it. I did what they told me to do. I both emailed and faxed my receipt and other information to them; they refuse to acknowledge it I love the service I get from the people in Best Buy, I hate Samsung service.

Had issues with ice maker right away. Had service tech out twice. It hardly makes any ice. He replaced ice maker & fill valve. Still the same.

Got home and there had been a power outage. Ice melted and the water came through the ice dispenser, going all over the floor, ruining my brand new floor.

    Great Fridge

Really like this Samsung refrigerator. It is a really quiet unit. I had a Whirlpool (WRS571CIDM) delivered first and it was noisy. Kitchen is just off the family room and the noise from the WP was annoying. I can barely hear this fridge when the compressor is running. Also you cannot hear when water fills ice maker. You can hear ice cubes dropping but that is to be expected. It's nice and roomy. Drawers in frige are deep. Agree with other reviews about drawers not opening far enough. That's really my only negative on this fridge. Lighting is good in both fridge and freezer. It has back lights and a light on top in front of both fridge and freezer. Freezer is roomy also. Ice maker in door adds additional space. The two drawers hold a lot. Counter depth works well in my kitchen. I don't have the depth required for the full size. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Would have given 5 stars if drawers would open further.

I am not sure if all are the same but mine made a high pitch squeal when it was trying to make ice. Fridge is to small, skip the side by side and get a French door counter depth. You will thank me later!

Bought this refrigerator based on superior storage space in the refrigerator compared to French Door models. Noticed immediately after startup that the compressor and icemaker were very loud. Since our kitchen is open to the family room, we returned this refrigerator for an LG French door model.

We will never buy any Samsung appliances after our experience with them. We bought the Samsung RS22HDHPNSR/AA Refrigerator and within 2 months the ice maker stopped working. That is something we could live with. Then 1 year later, I noticed the freezer was defrosting and everything in the refrigerator was warm. Lights and power still worked but it was no longer cooling. We lost all of our food and I tried calling Samsung support but was directed to calling back during business hours. We are family of 5 with three small children, including a baby so not having a working refrigerator is stressful. My husband and I could not find a company open on the weekend that could service a Samsung. Two days later was a Monday and we finally got in touch with Samsung but our refrigerator was 1 year and 2 months old not covered under warranty. They sent an appliance company, which we had to pay, for them to tell us the cooling system went out and no one can fix it. We told Samsung and they said they will do research since the cooling system is under warranty for 5 years. Still no word after numerous calls, holds, and terrible customer service. Finally they got back to us with no one can fix it, that we can submit our receipts for reimbursement which we did. Then we moved ahead with buying a new refrigerator (different brand this time!) because it had already been 1 week without one and that is hard to do with small kids. Lowes was extremely helpful and hauled away the old one. We had to follow up with Samsung AGAIN regarding the receipt/reimbursement. Terrible customer service, hold times for 40 minutes and longer, and they tell us they got our receipts and to hold onto the broken machine. Never once at the start of this process did they share that ‘policy’. We tried to track down its location with Lowes (Lowes again was extremely helpful) and find out it went to the same company who did the service call – called that company and it had already been recycled. I called Samsung with again terrible customer service and they just keep repeating the policy even though we were told once we submitted our receipts everything was done. I asked if they hauled away the broken (dangerous machine with Freon in it) and they said Samsung does not provide that service that, “I should have put it on my front porch.” So I asked if they pay condo association fees for having broken and dangerous appliances outside my town house? What about the food we lost? Not to mention the stress and poor customer service, I would never recommend buying a Samsung anything to anyone. Samsung sells expensive refrigerators that stop working after 1 year and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I should have read the other reviews. This seems to be a common problem with this product. High pitch noise, comes and goes, but very irritating.

I didn't know fridges could be so good!

We had a GE Profile counter depth fridge and since that's one of their "premium" lines, I assumed it was a good fridge even though it had a number of quirks. However, after getting the Samsung, I'm amazed. There's so much space inside! Even though this is about 1.5 cubic feet smaller than our GE, it feels like I have way more storage. The interior design is very well laid out so that you can maximize how much food fits inside. On the con side if I had to come up with one, it emits a higher than normal frequency when it is running. However, it is just below the threshold of annoying as I can usually ignore it and the overall decibel level is quiet. The water dispenser works great and the fridge keeps my food nice and cold. What else do you need in a fridge? :)

    Nice fridge, sudges easily

Very nice refrigerator. Operates fairly quietly, with only the occasional loud screeching sound of the ice maker. My biggest complaint about it is that it smudges very easily. I have all stainless steel appliances of different brands, and this one is by far the one that shows the most smudges. Overall, a very nice fridge. We ended up returning it because the doors hinged in such a way that we couldn't open the freezer door at all (just a fluke thing in our kitchen - not something that anyone else should encounter). We opted for a KitchenAid because the hinges were better suited for our strange layout.

    Refrigerator temperature is good

Okay - we received the replacement refrigerator two days ago and things are looking good. The temperature on the refrigerator side is fine. I've checked it against the temperature reading displayed on the door and it's in good agreement, i.e. 38-40 degrees. I would just suggest if you buy this refrigerator, give it 24 to 48 hours to stabilize and check the freezer and refrigerator temperatures against one or two good thermometers. It just so happened that the first one had some kind of temperature sensor issue. So far we're very happy with this refrigerator. Dave

My experience with this fridge since my last review got better. I called for service to have the nasty tasting water and drip addressed. Turns out the delivery person who initially set up the fridge installed the water filter wrong. It wasn't in the locked position. Now that it is, the water tastes great! The drip hasn't stopped even though the technician who came out today installed a new connector. Guess time will tell. So I've upgraded to 4 stars and would recommend.

Got 6 Months Out of it

Thankfully I purchased the extended warranty on this piece of ... It was pronounced dead by a Geek Squad service tech after 6 months. We purchased a white fridge, but were told it would take 3 weeks to receive, alternatively we could have a stainless steel front delivered in 10 days. Ever been without a fridge for any length of time? It's extremely inconvenient not to mention the loss of food and money. We opted for the stainless steel front. Be aware the stainless steel front delivered does not protect against finger prints so now we're constantly wiping it down. Geek Squad was ok, but the Samsung product is... Also, be aware that the water filter needs to be changed every 6 months. We purchased the new filter at Best Buy for $50! and it did not fit. Good luck with that.

Absolutely love the fridge. We purchased a larger one but it couldn't fit in the house, so Pacific Sales at Best Buy exchanged it for us with no problem. It adds a modern look to our kitchen just in time for our renovation. The feature I love the most is the beep when the refrigerator doors have been open too long. It's a good reminder to conserve energy. I also like the thoughtful shelving design, i.e. the custom spaces for bottles. Its a true space saver.

GREAT FRIDGE.. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BEST BUY

After much research on the more limited availability of counter depth fridges, we decided this one had the most promising features - modern style, quality material/drawers/accessories, longest warranty and well thought out space. It did arrive with a small dent that is hardly noticeable, we decided to just stick with it anyway. The icemaker is awesome. The fridge is quiet. The temperature is exact and easily adjustable. After coming from a full size fridge we had concerns on losing space, but we were happily surprised to find everything fit easily and it had much more space than anticipated. Overall quality with a well thought out design. We purchased during 4th of July sales - it was a great deal. They also were running an exciting rewards promo. We decided to purchase all of our appliances from Best Buy because of this promotion. We paid in full for the purchase but the Best Buy representative accidentally selected 18 month financing in the computer. Best Buy is now refusing to honor the promo even though the error was in their sales process (selecting financing). The error was not ours. I've been calling Best Buy for over a month without resolve and keep getting passed from person to person with my case number. Their customer service has not made me feel like a valued customer that got a "BEST BUY". I wish they would show me that they value my multiple appliance purchase and resolve this.
