Worst Refrigerator I have ever purchased

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had looked at this Samsung model and read the reviews before finally buying it and I both agree and disagree with some of the recent reviews I read. We have an open plan kitchen /family room and do not hear the fridge running at all except when first installed and hearing the ice maker initially making the ice as is normal in any make fridge!! It is a VERY quiet fridge. We are retired so wanted the counter depth and it is adequate for us and fits perfectly into the space between cabinets. Looks so smart!! A big draw back for me is that this particular model does NOT have a dairy drawer that most french door models have. You can buy the same fridge in the Chef model at a hefty $2,500 more with all the bells and whistles and it includes the dairy drawer or use the lower freezer right side as a fridge instead as an option in this fridge but takes away from freezer space. Something else we encountered was that the hinges on top of the fridge are large so if you have cabinets above the space you are using for it the fridge will only go in about 3/4 way unless there is adequate head room. We had to plane of 1/2" across width to push it all the way in. I had read in other reviews about leaving extra 2" each side for allowing the doors to open which we knew would work for us but never considered the height which was the problem!! Best Buy were helpful with all our needs and delivery was fast and efficient.

Great idea, bad execution

I bought it because having the flex zone allowed us to have a "kids" fridge which was convenient. Everything worked great except the tiny storage shelves on the top left door and the unbelievably loud gurgling noise it made almost constantly. Some people might not have an issue if you live in a loud household (like mine usually is with two kids running around) but when it's quiet and we're trying to watch a movie or something, it's almost unbearable. Had to return the thing because of it!
