The ice maker freezes constantly. You have to defrost it and then it’ll do the same thing in a couple weeks. It’s garbage.

Never Buy a Samsung Refrigerator

We purchased this five years ago for $4k. Within two weeks the ice maker stopped working. Despite two repairs over the next three months, it hasn't worked for the last four years. At exactly the five year anniversary, when our warranty with Samsung expired, the refrigerator stopped working. Repairman walked in, told us that this couldn't be repaired, and the only option was to replace the entire unit. He said that the problem is common with Samsung refrigerators. So I guess Samsung just thinks it is okay for someone to spend $4k every five years on a refrigerator?

We bought all new Samsung appliances in 2015. The microwave quit working one month after the warranty expired. The repairs were going to cost $500, a new microwave was $450. Now this refrigerator water filter mechanism needs replaced. I have never had so many issues with appliances. Check online about this refrigerator, the water filter housing frequently needs replaced just a couple years in. Be warned!
