Multiple Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before you buy, google Samsung refrigerators and dozes of articles discuss quality issues. The fact this refrigerator has 186 “1” reviews should be enough for Samsung to take responsibility. We have experienced two issues: 1. Ice Maker: We have had a tech out three times and it is still broken. We now make ice the old fashioned way. 2. Temperature control: twice we have experienced the fridge and freezer not maintaining set temperature. Yesterday, woke up to the fridge at 48 degrees and freezer at 34, costing us hundreds of dollars of wasted food. 3. Samsung Customer Service: *Authorized Dealer: we live in a suburb of the fourth largest city in America and there is one authorized dealer. Samsung rep said there are no available appointments but the authorized dealer will call us when one comes available. When asked ETA, Samsung rep just repeated the same line. *Rep could not answer questions and appeared to be reading from a script. *I explained how many times we have had service and asked at what point does Samsung replace the refrigerator, she said Samsung will only replace in the first year if there are multiple issues. *Samsung Rep asked if I would like to receive text messages on ticket updates. I said no. Guess what….once I hung up a text message came through and then I received another one within an hour. Unless you want to throw away $3000, do not buy this refrigerator!
