    I already called to repaired the ice maker 4 times, they changed mechanism 2 time before within a year and 1/2 I will NOT recommend it, I am so disappointed.

    The Samsung fridge is sleek, elegant, quiet and its surprisingly spacious. I was worried about the lack of space because it has a another part for a controlled temperature zone, but I was wrong. There is plenty of space! I was a bit worried about not having handles on the fridge and how it might feel weird opening it, but surprisingly it felt normal. The recessed handles makes the fridge look built-in and it's nice that I'm not always bumping into handles! The built-in water pitcher is a great feature. I love how it refills automatically and you can add lemon, lime, or fruits to infuse the water for better taste.The led lighting is very bright and lights up all the corners of the fridge. The flex zone seems really interesting. It has 4 different temperature zones and you can place different items in each zone such as wine, meat, cheese and beverages. I haven't seen other fridges that have this feature; I'm still learning how to use this compartment for controlled temperatures. I'm currently testing it by storing soft drinks and cheese in the middle drawer. I love the idea of having a bottom drawer freezer. The only complaint I have is I wish there were more space. Compared to my old fridge, its about the same size. The freezer is functional and it has a easy to roll plastic tray in the freezer as well. I've read a lot of complaints about the ice maker; leaking/not making enough ice (we don't really use a lot of ice in general). I haven't had a problem with it yet, but I will update my review if I do come across an issue. The fridge isn't really fingerprint proof. It does leave smudges, but it's super easy to wipe off with a dry towel and definitely a lot better than other stainless steel fridges that leaves fingerprints. Overall, I am pleased with this refrigerator and I would recommend it to those who are in the market for one.

    Second year in and we're still loving this fridge. The counter-depth size, plus no protruding handles, saves space. We haven't had freezer issues -- a lot depends on 1) new water lines when installed, 2) proper filter replacement, 3) not carelessly leaving the top doors open for long, 4) ensuring doors are closed, and the seals are clean and free of any obstruction. The one time we had ice cubes stuck, it was easy to clear up, we checked the tubes and put a new filter, which was about on schedule. The location of the icemaker can worsen ice buildup, unlike fridges that have icemaker in the freezer. Only complaint: Cheap plastic around exterior water dispenser. It's not fingerprint-proof. And without protruding handles, it just requires cleaning. It's just more noticeable w/o handles, but that just means protruding handles are just as dirty. We keep a towel nearby and it's become intuitive to wipe at top and bottom, and along drawer tops, when needed, and after meal cleanup. So far, fridge is QUIET, much more than our previous, other than ice cubes dropping. We love the LED lighting too.

    Love the sleek, modern design, and it has great space even though it's counter depth. Finger prints wipe off easily with a damp cloth. The only downside is the icemaker, which stopped working after 6 months of use. Luckily, it was still under warranty, and Samsung replaced the icemaker with an improved model. So far so good. Icemakers are problematic in every brand of refrigerator, so I did not deduct any stars for this. Love using the middle drawer for drinks, which frees up space in the main refrigerator section for food. After using it for 6 months, I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Bought this particular model because at the time, it was right after Covid with very limited options. Our previous LG refrigerator stopped working completely and we needed a new fridge asap. I have never had a Samsung fridge but after having this one, I don’t think I would buy another. The ice maker is the worst part of the fridge and was one of the reasons we bought it. It always freezes up and gets jammed. They say because it is in the fridge, but even if we open the fridge minimally, the ice builds up on the unit and will need to be defrosted. It is a pain to always have to check and deal with.

    My mother has an earlier model of this refrigerator, in black. Mine is "stainless steel" but in appearance only as no magnets will stick. It shows fingerprints. The icemaker is in the fridge so it takes longer to make ice and does not drop the ice into bins; you have to do that yourself by removing the ice tray and dumping it into a bin in the freezer. So far it works well and the design is nice. You just need to be aware of these surprises before you decide to buy one.

    I purchased this refrigerator in 2018, and wishing 18 months, the ice maker broke. Best Buy sent a service tech out to repair the problem, but again, within another 12 months, the ice maker broke again. Fast forward to today, July 18th, 2024, and I have had to have the ice maker fixed three separate times. The middle drawer control panel has burnt out. The lights for the freezer would intermittently work. Now, the entire unit has ceased to work. Best Buy, unfortunately, says they can no longer help with the unit. It seems that Best Buy is content with their service technicians "put a bandaid on an issue" in so many words, instead of fixing the problem and helping their customer with a unit that they purchased that clearly has an issue. I have been disappointed with the purchase since the first issue I had with it (less than a year after purchase), but now that I see that Best Buy would rather draw out a process to the point of them "not being able to do anything since it's been so long since it's been purchased", than to rectify a problem for their longstanding customer.

    NICE LOOKING STORAGE CONTAINER

    Please, for the love of God, do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator. Bought 2 1/2 years ago. The entire cooling system stopped working, except for the compressor. It has a 5 year warranty on the sealant cooling system. GOOD LUCK getting them to honor that warranty! It's been 1 month and no less than a dozen phone calls to samsung. They sent a "certified"samsung tech to inspect the fridge. Cost me $100. They never followed up, never responded to any phone calls, you couldn't leave a message. Samsung canceled the ticket without explanation and sent me a text. Called back. They said they canceled because they couldn't contact the service tech. Another ticket was created with a different "certified" samsung tech. They came to inspect the fridge. No charge this time as i demanded they foot the bill. Same diagnosis as the first. Said they'd order parts. This was on a saturday. By monday, samsung had canceled the ticket. Stating that the part needed was no longer produced. The compressor! So samsung no longer makes parts for a refrigerator that is still for sale. But the compressor didn't need to be replaced, but according to them, you can't replace just the other stuff without replacing the compressor. Utterly ludicrous. These are all just stall tactics. So now they're supposedly trying to accommodate me by giving me a full refund. But WAIT, it's not a full refund of the $2900 i paid for it, it's $2200 they're offering. And only if it's approved in 3-5 business days. Anybody wanna make a bet on that approval being denied??? The icing on the cake is how many times they try to get away with the "it's out of warranty" bullcrap. It clearly says there's a 5 year warranty in the manual and online. 1 person will say yes, It's under warranty. The next person will say no, it's out of warranty. It's all a game to Samsung, but they don't know me. I'll be calling the news, the better business bureau, every big box store that carries their crappy products, every social media site. And the last call may be to a lawyer. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against this horrible company. Without a doubt, samsung has the worst customer service. I would rather buy a used,20 year old, avocado green, refrigerator than ever own another samsung If you are reading this review and are thinking, "but it's such a nice looking refrigerator and it's one of the few counter depth refrigerators and I'll take my chances" YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

    We purchased the black stainless version of the fridge back in January. Although this model had been out since 2016, availability was scarce from all the major brick & mortars. Ours was delivered with a dent to the side surface of one of the drawers. Getting the replacment was a logistical nightmare as Samsung availability was as I stated, scarce and replacement parts were even harder to come by. A new fridge was finally delivered as this was the procedure to get the drawer panel replaced. Strange. And the replacement unit also arrived with a smallish dent at the bottom of the bottom drawer. Perhaps there is a production line QA issue. In attempting to locate the drawer and seal on our own to help out - directly from Samsung - we learned how terrible Samsung USA & Samsung Parts dot com - their US based distribution contact - operated in supporting the more esoteric models like this one. These folks sent out the wrong seal and were a complete hassle to deal with. It took months to get the panel and the seal/gasket assembly in from Korea/California. And although it was easy to ascertain the required part numbers from drawings available online, Samsung Parts dot com were oblivious to what was being ordered and what was really sent. In any event, apart from the support nightmare, we are VERY pleased with the functional design and performance of this counter depth fridge. It's quiet, it's super energy efficient and it is laid out perfectly for our needs. The color tone is a great match to our other GE Profile appliances and the surface cleans up nicely with ease. The filter cartridge system is better than many other systems and does a nice job of freshening up the dispensed water & ice. Some may complain about the volume of ice produced but we find that it is plenty for us and the system produces ice quickly. The in-drawer controls are excellent and the dispenser controls in the door are great. No drips from the spout and good performance between cubed & crushed ice. If you're looking for a counter depth refrigerator with clean lines and no protruding handles - check this model out. Just be aware that if service and/or parts are required, there may be issues with obtaining critical parts. Even with that said, we highly recommend this product... we just hope it lasts and that the support mechanisms are improved by Samsung in the event it needs future service.

    Have had this Samsung fridge for a month after prior fridge died. Did a lot of research before purchasing. It's beautiful, has loads of space, well designed. Love the middle drawer and love the controls and built in water pitcher. Highly recommend.

    5 years as of last month and the ice maker stopped working. Seems to be an issue with all Samsung Refrigerators. Not sure if 5 years is a long time to have a working ice maker these days but for the cost of this refrigerator I would have expected it to last longer.

    This frig is awesome. It keeps temp extremely accurately. There is a ton of space. The lack of handles makes it look even thinner than it is. I love the water dispenser (which dispenses real cold water) and the pitcher autofill, which is great for coffee making in the morning. The only downside is the ice maker. It makes enough, but the ice is a mix of whole cubes and crushed. It is common for some ice to get stuck in the shoot and melt, or for a teaspoon of water to come out with every ice dispense. My wife actually bought ice cube trays to have clear, whole, cubes! ..but I like the frig so much, I'll overlook the icemaker...

    Known, ongoing issues with ice-maker

    We bought this fridge 1.5 years ago based on reviews, style, counter-depth and Samsung reputation. Over the past month we have had ongoing issues with the ice maker. It freezes outside of the ice compartment, stops making ice with the ice tray frozen shut. More research yielded many negative reviews re: the ice maker and Samsung's ability to have it repaired. We have called Samsung who referred us to a local repair service - that also had terrible reviews online - and who also never followed up with us to schedule the repair. My recommendation - buy another brand.

    Ice maker freezes and door doesn’t seal tightly

    We bought this fridge in 2017 and it is okay overall but the main problem is that the ice maker freezes and stops working. The closing seal also isn’t tight anymore. I believe this is a common problem for Samsung. I do like the internal water pitcher. Overall it’s just okay

    Best refrigerator I have owned

    I have had a couple of Samsung refrigerators in the past and this is by far the best one I have owned. Let’s talk about Improvments. Even though this is a counter depth refrigerator, it has the same usable space of one that is not counter depth. The handles being built into the door I was a little worried about, but it feels a lot more stable then the hinged handle that are usually on refrigerators. Last thing is the in door water pitcher. At first I thought it was a gimmick but it is very useful and have been using it all the time with cucumber and lemon.

    We love it!!! We cannot believe how spacious it is especially since it is counter top depth. Kudos to the engineers!! The refrigerator drawer is our favorite part of the refrigerator. Our frequently used items are at our fingertips with room to spare. Three door bins are deep enough for a gallon of milk. Electronic controls are easy to use and understand. Prissy, the spoiled cat, feels the very best feature is ice cold water from the in door dispenser for her bowl. We are extremely happy with this refrigerator. Samsung has hit a home run!
