    I've had this unit for 3 years, and i am on my 3rd repair. I was so excited about the size and exclusive color of the unit, and it brought nothing but trouble. The ice maker was the first to go bad. Now, it has stopped cooling. Samsung hasnt been helpful, charging you service fees and repair costs on top of the exaggerated price this unit costs initially. I have been a faithful Samsung customer for years, so i thought it was a wonderful idea to upgrade my kitchen with all new appliances. The stove and microwave have also been repaired on the 3 years obed owned them. Never again will i buy major appliances from this manufacturer that have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm glad Best Buy doesn't sell these units anymore.

    The Ford Pinto of Fridges

    This is the Ford Pinto of fridges...saying that is actually an insult to Pintos everywhere. I've had three techs out to try to fix this hunk of junk that came with my house until finally they gave up. After a month of back and forth with the terrible Samsung customer service, they finally caved and gave me a new fridge. The ice machine freezes up to the point where you can't even get the door to the compartment open. We had a freon leak that was repaired...until it leaked again and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. To top it all off, Samsung takes their sweet time in getting you a new fridge and then they messed up the "ticket" in their system and put it in to just pick up the old unit and not drop off a new one and it took another week for them to fix their ticket!!! BTW, we bought two new Samsung fridges in our old house and both of them were dead in three years. DO NOT ever buy a Samsung fridge.

    This is a beautiful refrigerator and so far it works extremely well. However, the assertion that the unit is fingerprint resistant is misleading. Every touch will leave a print which is easily removed with a gentle wipe. Overall the unit is great and easy to clean but if you are expecting it to be fingerprint free with minimal cleaning it's not the unit to have.

    A gorgeous refrigerator with a poor performance

    This Samsung refrigerator might be one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. It is sleek and has a modest set of features that includes being counter depth, automatically filling water pitcher in the door, and the middle drawer. What is a buy beware is right after having it it for 1 year it all seems to break down. The ice maker stopped making ice and I had to reset the refrigerator, then it just randomly stops cooling and I had to reset the refrigerator, and then it doesn't stay cool. What is possibility the worst part is in my dealings with Samsung support. They are unable to anything but "Have you tried turning it off and on again?". When I asked about having them help me figure out what is going wrong they gave me a number to a service center who told me they can't help me without a service ticket and paying them money even when there is a 5 Year Warranty on the sealed parts.

    Purchased Nov 2017. A household of two adults. Loved the sleek design. We had no problems with it all. Fast forward to November 2019. We woke up to a random noise coming from the fridge and all our frozen food thawed out. We called Samsung and they sent a contractor to check it out. Contractor did nothing since the fridge decided not to do the noise when he was here. We didn’t have a freezer for a couple of weeks. Called Samsung again. Contractor was sent out. They decided to put freon to check if there might be a leak. The freezer started working again. Three weeks later the freezer went out again. Contractor was sent out again. He found an internal leak and reported it to Samsung as a “not able to fix” problem. We were left without a refrigerator for two months, not including the one month we were left without a freezer. We called Samsung every week for two months to check on status of our report. We survived this ordeal thanks to a beverage fridge that we have. When we finally received a reimbursement for this headache, we definitely went with a different brand. It was the worst experience and we will never consider a Samsung product again.

    Do not buy Samsung, they won’t honor warranties

    This fridge would be nice if I didn’t keep having so many problems with it. The ice maker for this model will freeze so it can’t dispense ice. Not only that, but we have a 10 year warranty for the compressor and for the last week I have been trying to get Samsung to cover it and they will not honor it. So now, my wife and I are stuck in a snow storm without a fridge because Samsung wouldn’t help us before the snow got here. You can buy better brands at better prices instead of Samsung.

    Lemon - purchase another brand

    Purchased in July 2018. Had ice-maker freezing issues but was able to have repaired/resolved. Have loved this fridge up until this year when I have had 3 episodes in the past 3 months of the fridge not staying cold. Have had repairs done 3 time (adding coolant & sealant). Last repair was about 1 month ago and late last week the temp once again failed to stay cool. Repair team came out again, added more sealant & coolant but fridge never got below 50 degrees. Currently both fridge & freezer are 60+ degrees. All contents will have to be discarded and replaced again. Will likely give up on this one and purchase another brand. Simply cannot recommend based on unreliability and poor performance after only 3.5 years of use.

    Lousy product

    This refrigerator broke down less than four months from purchase. A loud hum started with loud thumps three months and three weeks after purchase. A strong burning mechanical smell followed the increase in noise. The freezer temperature stared to rise so we called Customer service. We had to wait three days for Best Buy to send out a Geek Squad repairmen who was not qualified to work on this type refrigerator and couldn’t work on it anyway since it was still under mfg warranty. We called Samsung customer service and had to wait another 5 days for them to send their repairman. He showed up with out a compressor even though Geek Squad had confirmed it was the compressor. Now we have to wait another 4-5 days for the compressor to arrive! I’ve never in my life purchased such a lousy appliance for so much money and terrible service. You would think a $2,800 appliance would last longer than 4 months!! I will never buy anything Samsung again! BUYER BEWARE!!

    SAMSUNG SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

    I bought this refrigerator in May 2017. The icemaker broke once and they replaced it pretty quickly. However, it broke again (and also freezer broke) a month and a half ago and I have spent probably 15-20 hours on the phone with them trying to get this resolved. They sent a technician out saying that it could not be fixed and had to be replaced. I love the features of this fridge but what they have put me through (lots of promises not kept, lies told, receipts sent multiple times, rude customer service). I would rather have a less fancy fridge than have to ever deal with Samsung again. I will never spend another dollar of my money. I demanded a refund and will not be spending on another Samsung. I will go with a brand that has good service - my sanity is worth more to me than fancy fridge options. Do not buy this product, you will regret it.

    My ice maker clogs up at least once a week and I have to chip the iceberg out with a long knife. My refrig temp is on 37 and freezer is set to -2. I have added some material to the seal to make it tighter and did not seem to help. Paid a lot for this refrigerator for the ice maker to be so bad.

    . In a span of 3 months had at-lest 5 instances where the ice maker was not dispensing ice despite periodic manual removal of ice clogs. Buying this fridge for an ice-maker feature is not worth it. Plus its not smudge proof as stated.

    I have had this refrigerator for a year. It is an attractive addition to my kitchen remodel, and is indeed cabinet depth, which was crucial for me. However, the ice maker doesn't produce as much ice as you'd hope, the doors are not finger-print proof, and most concerning- the water filter is impossible to replace. I have purchased the Samsung brand replacement filter, but cannot insert it, despite repeated attempts and approaches, and a search on Samsung forums shows it is a common problem. The filter costs $50, so now I have wasted that $, and the water is unfiltered. There must be a better option out there. Look for it.

    Purchased Jan 2019. In that 4-year time frame: The ice maker stopped working last year. It was replaced but Samsung had to be sued (class action) first. Now, it's quit cooling and we've been without a fridge for 2 weeks with still no resolution in sight. Our Samsung oven that we bought in a complete kitchen package has also had multiple services. Think twice...

    Samsung authorized techs have been trying to repair these refrigerators for years and they just KEEP BREAKING. Samsung has been knowingly making and selling defective refrigerators with a very common issue: the ice maker builds up condensation which freezes over the fan, thus shutting off the refrigeration to your fresh food section. This begins after your warranty expires, so you'll have to pay $75 for a tech to tell you it'll cost over $800 to fix. Despite it being Samsung's fault, we the consumers have to pay for their mistakes. It's ridiculous, people online are talking class-action lawsuit, but who can fight this huge corporation? Best thing to do is count your losses and AVOID SAMSUNG AT ALL COSTS.

    Good design but faulty engineering

    We had to pay over $400 to replace the faulty ice maker, then, the touch pad broke and had to replace the wiring. This should not be a problem with a 2 year refrigerator. The technician showed me how they improved the new ice maker but it should be replaced for free due to the poor engineering.

    Would not choose again

    In general, this refrigerator is fine. Storage in both fridge and freezer is adequate, it’s quiet, it does what I would generally expect a refrigerator to do. The one thing I absolutely love about this fridge is the auto fill pitcher. This is the only feature saving this fridge from 1 star. We have had the fridge for 1 year now and while I would say that fingerprints don’t necessarily show up on it, ours still tends to look filthy because our kids dirty hands are all over it since there are no handles. I thought having no handles would be a good thing with little kids, but I was so wrong. Also, In the time we have had it the ice maker started jamming up (apparently a common issue) and we had to replace that in October, it is already doing the same thing again in December. Such a disappointing purchase.

    I own many Samsung products but would not recommend this item. Purchased this refrigerator 8 month ago and it has stopped cooling. Samsung does provide a 1-year warranty with the fridge but beware Samsung support doesn’t know how to fix this unit. The refrigerator has been broken for 3 weeks and Samsung support has scheduled 5 repair teams. Two teams cancelled their appointment because of the unit and 3 teams that arrived said they are untrained to repair. With 15 calls to Samsung support they told me it has been “escalated”. I been dining out for 3 weeks now with no scheduled date of a capable repair team. I expected a $3,000 Samsung fridge would last more than 8 months. At the very least Samsung would be able to repair/replace the unit. I recommend staying away from Samsung refrigerators.
