This is our second Samsung refrigerator of this type. And our fourth Samsung Refrigerator in six years. We had moved six times in eight years each time we purchased Samsaung Appliances. Excellent products.

Don’t buy this fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We should’ve listened to the reviewers who said the ice maker doesn’t work. It CONSTANTLY freezes up and stops working, requiring us to defrost it, and when you do get ice, first you get a bunch of water in your glass before any ice comes out. Now our freezer has stopped cooling. We’ve checked the seals, removed a bunch of the food, turned down the temp, and no luck. This expensive refrigerator isn’t even two years old. Now we have to pay someone to come look at it and pay for parts on a product that again, ISN’T EVEN TWO YEARS OLD. The fridge is relatively quiet and we like the fact that it fit better in our space without the handles, but the fact that it doesn’t work properly certainly outweighs the few pros. We will never buy another Samsung product or recommend one. I hope this review saves someone else from wasting their money.

Terrible Product and Inconsistent service

We bought this unit 18 months ago for our brand new home because the the no handle aesthetics and that is about the only positive I can truly say. WHAT A MISTAKE! Within a year I had the hassle of phone calls and repair techs to replace the ice maker. Fast forward a few months later and I call in again because the freezer isnt getting cold enough. After over an hour on the phone I am told its out of warranty and to pound sand. Well today I finally had the time to wait for the 3 hour window for the local appliance repair guy to come out. The unit is leaking the coolant. Normally not a big deal BUT this fridge uses r600a and NOONE is certificated to work with it unless they have special training. $70 wasted. I call samsung again to now they tell me the sealed system is covered for 5 years and to send them my repair order and then they will send someone out to repair the unit. WHAT A JOKE! I want my fridge fixed and I want my $70 reimbursed.

The BEST counter-depth option on the market

Counter-depth has its limits but this delightful thing is a pleasure to open, the auto fill pitcher is a bonus and it seems to have more interior space than its counterparts. The big freezer and flex drawer are bonuses! So happy with my choice!

Ice Maker continues to get blocked up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ice Maker doesn't work. It gets blocked up and you cannot remove the ice maker and therefore the tray gets broken when trying to remove from the fridge. Then have to chip away at the ice that is stuck.

Horrible ice maker and Geek Squad Warranty

It was replaced multiple times and never worked past the 2 to 3 months mark after replacement. I have been an Elite member of Best Buy for more than 15 years and have been extremely disappointed by their gotcha attitude around their warranty considering the ice maker as an accessory. I ended up buying a new fridge because i was tired of having this crap in my kitchen for more than two years and waisting time on service calls. I started reconsidering my Best Buy first attitude when it comes to big purchases now. Don’t buy this fridge!

Dont expect to ever have ice

Ice maker freezes over constantly and youll have to chip the ice away every few days. If you dont it will freeze over so badly that you will not be able to pull the ice maker out at all. Already had it replaced once and again gave had zero ice for the last month because its a well known problem and will keep happening no matter what you. As someone else stated the plastic around the doors also cracked on mine. Fought tooth and nail to have that replaced. Customer service is also HORRIBLE. They will blame everything on You to the extent of sounding ridiculous!

Broke after 1 year warranty expired

Right after the 1-year warranty expired, the control panel started flashing and shutting down. Temperature rising. Also there is a clicking sound in the back. Called Samsung, they scheduled a technician to come after 5 days. 5 days without a fridge! Technician came in, replaced a board in the back panel, and left believing it was fixed. 2 hours later, it's still broken. Is this a lemon? Am I out $2800?

I hate it

I would give it 1 star but all those reviews are just sour grapes. The fridge operates well and looks good, but it just isn't a great package. A lot of poorly utilized space, doesn't produce enough ice (and painfully slow to dispense), cumbersome to switch from water to ice. No problems with the operation, it just isn't functionally designed well. I realize counter-depth is smaller, but this just doesn't innovate on packaging. I'm unfamiliar with other 4-door designs, but why have dividers that have everything mix together? And I think it may lead to wasteful unusable space. I love Samsung in general, but I'm returning this one.

My experience has been different than the others
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice looking piece of furniture but horrible appliance. I purchased mine in March of 2018. Since then I have had two service repairs and replacements of faulty ice makers. Each time the service tech was aware of the brand's ongoing issue to the point he did not need to troubleshoot or test. He knew the ice maker's inability to keep the water frozen causing melting and then freezing over in the ice maker preventing ice production required replacement of the auger motor and the ice maker itself. There are so many "hot spots" in the French doors that I cannot even keep my milk stored in the door's storage shelves. I have to keep it on the main shelves itself reducing storage space to even keep the milk cold. If it wasn't for the extended protection plan that has allowed the replacement and repairs to a refrigerator less than two years old, this $3000 refrigerator would be on the curb or local dump. This was one of the worse purchases I have been unfortunately to have made. My experience would strongly encourage you to avoid wasting your time and money on purchasing this appliance.

Lots of ice maker issues.

Our third (!) repairperson pointed out a huge design flaw: the ice maker is in the fridge part of the unit instead of the freezer. Lots of parts being replaced. Lots of water dripping. And this evening, the final nail in the coffin, smoke started billowing from the ice maker. I'm hoping Samsung or Best Buy will be able to send us a new one. But a different model.

Decent Refrigerator - BAD ICE MAKER - DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Samsung refrigerator is very good in all areas EXCEPT for the ice maker which freezes solid if it's not used at least every 2 - 3 days. Once it freezes over the assembly cannot be removed without doing a complete defrost (emptying the refrigerator and freezer). This is a terrible design flaw & Samsung has shown ZERO interest in resolving it. The control panel ceases to function after a few days. The only way to restore functionality is to unplug the refrigerator for a few seconds. Plugging it back in triggers a "reboot". This is a minor irritant compared to the lousy ice maker design flaw. I'll dump this one as soon as I save enough money buy a better one.

Failing after only a year! Out of warranty?!

Here we are at 8/20/2018 and the compressor fan, and I suspect the blower in the refrigerator itself have both gone out. There is no reason you should have this kind of functional failure this soon. Worse still, Best Buy can't get anyone out to fix till 5 days from now. There is at least a couple hundred dollars of food in the freezer that Is going to spoil by then. I called Samsung support as well and they can schedule a repair for me but claim the refrigerator is out of warranty so the cost is out of pocket. What a joke!

Terrible do not buy for the price

Never Samsung

It keeps getting tiny dents in it in wierd spots that I dont even know how. It is small inside and the middle drawer I cant use.... it will not close!! Worst purchase ever. Do not waste your money on this trash. I am so upset and would return it in a heartbeat. It's upsetting something so expensive is such garbage. Dont ever put magnets on the front either they scratch the living tar out of it. I have a scratches, dented, non drawer closing piece of garbage that was$$$$$$$$$.

STAY FAR AWAY! 1 Year issues+3 year issues/dead

A year after purchase my ice maker froze up and has not worked (2018). Last month the control panel (temps for fridge/freezer control) went blank OR beeps constantly and the freezer light does not work. These are known issues with ALL models of Samsung refrigerators including many class action lawsuits (I have just learned all this while trying to find a solution). Check the 50k+ member facebook group on samsung refrigerator issues. STAY AWAY!
