Freezer , ice jams up

Saw previous reviews about ice problem, i chanced it anyway. My bad, should never have purchased this frig. Three times the freezer, ice maker has jammed. The tech asked me if I unplugged the frig and try to defrost it, i said i am not willing to do that. . Just a little thing, its not a magnitic front. The front takes abit of cleaning to stay nice.

Bad deal, don't do it

Caveat Emptor

Water pitcher is not dishwasher safe and will shrink. Water filter is challenging at best to change. Feels like something is going to snap. BAD Samsung Refrigerator!

We purchase the whole appliances set (Stove/Oven, Dishwasher, Micro Wave Oven and the Frig. Everything work great except the REFRIGERATOR after 2 yrs the the Ice maker went bad and now both Ice and the center draw is not working. Don't buy it!

water leaking into freezer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the style and functionality of this fridge, but have had persistent issues with water leaking into the freezer from somewhere. It only happens on the left hand side, but leads to massive ice build up. I've cleaned it all out and tried turning the autofill water dispenser off, but to no avail. There's no water in the drawer above the freezer, so it's really not clear to me where this is coming from. I am trying to work with samsung to get this addressed and am hopeful I just have a defective model. I feel like I can't recommend this item at all though based on my experience thus far.

Junk. Rust. Broke.

Worst Ice Maker and horrible Protection Plan

This fridge has the most unreliable ice maker, none of them have lasted a year and Geek Squad protection plan is now a joke (non-responsive). We've replaced our ice maker 3 times now and it broke again earlier this month. An authorized Samsung tech came last week to fix it, but he didn't. That night, the unit made ice, but I couldn't get the ice machine to spit out any ice. When I opened the dispenser, water spilled everywhere. We called Geek Squad back, but since then, we have had 4 tech repair no shows. Over 30 plus hours of waiting time plus almost 10 hours of phone calls for nothing!!! Supervisor was no help an couldn't give a reason of the no shows except to say they have a new process. Save yourself some TIME and money - DON"T buy a Samsung fridge at Best Buy. To make this shorter, we scheduled appointment in 5 days with supposedly a different service repair company. Its another waiting game!

Terrible freezer compartment

This Samsung (RF23M8070SR/AA) is the worst appliance we've owned in our lives. The freezer must have each of its vents completely free of ANYTHING or you will discover that everything has defrosted. The real insult is that the control panel reads 0 degree when in fact it's well above freezing. If we completely empty it and put things in our chest freezer, it bounces right back to freezing. Rather than wait a long time for Best Buy to come out again, we just put our meats downstairs and limit this freezer to breads, veggies and fruits.

Disappointed

About 2 months ago it started making noise and the water dispenser worked intermittently. I have the Best Buy warranty so submitted a repair ticket. The first repair person visited 2xs, but really did not know what was wrong. The second service person seemed to know it was the ice maker and the mother board but could not get parts (back ordered).. at this point the fridge was freezing my food and then thawing. The water dispenser stopped working, no ice was being made, the pitcher in the door was not filling, and water has started leaking into the Flex drawer. The Best Buy special agents have submitted an exchange request that will take at least 2 weeks to approve. By then it will be 3 months of these issues.

DON'T BUY

Issues With First 2

My biggest complaint with this thing is the ice machine - it holds literally 3 cups of ice. If you have 3 people wanting a cup of ice water, there isn't enough ice in the machine. Kind of ridiculous.

Ice maker is junk

Say NO to Samsung

Good purchase
