Now, after 4 years, the freezer has also stopped working. Beyond the spoiled food, the aggravation and time wasted with their 800-Samsung is not worth the $2.5k purchase price Avoid the headaches and get a quality-working product

Great starting out the gate

We just built our house and we decided to go with the SAMSUNG as opposed to the GE products that were being offered. However, after less than a year, we've had a repairman out twice to repair the ice maker. And now that it's out again and out of warranty!!! I have always enjoyed SAMSUNG products because of their high quality. However, after speaking to other SAMSUNG refrigerator owners, this appears to be a generally defective product. I will stick to buying TV's, watches and telephones from SAMSUNG in the future.

Avoid Samsung

Despite years of consumer difficulties with their ice makers freezing over and not producing ice, Samsung continues to deny the problem. At this point, I would not buy anything made by Samsung. The company does not care about its customers.

Avoid this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy any Samsung refrigerator with this ice-maker. The icemaker quit within 6 months had it changed and new one freezes shut and quits constantly. We have to pull the bin out and chip frozen cubes blocking the dumper. Even when there is ice in the bin the auger struggles to move the ice to the chute.

Broke after having it for only ~1 year!!!

A year and a half in and the compressor failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung to me was a quality name but after a few samsung appliances that have had issues within and past warranty, I will be steering clear of any products made by samsung in the future. We have had an issue with their dishwasher too. I like the look and use of the RF but the issues with the compressor and the poor construction of the top tray in the freezer drives me to not recommend anything made by Samsung in the future.

Worst Fridge Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turns out we purchased a refrigerator that Samsung knows is faulty- good luck ever wanting ice and the frodge to stay at a constant temp. Do your research and never buy Samsung. After 3 years we received a refund (based on depreciated value) from Samsung (there is a process here - again do your research). Glad to see this hayled away and replaced.

A lot of money for defective product

This seems to be a known problem with Samsung and they do not seem to want to correct the problem. I would stay away from all the Samsung as we have had problems with dishwasher as well
