Love our new Samsung Refrigerator

We were a bit concerned about losing a few cubic feet by going with the new door design over our old side by side but our concerns was unfounded. The new design makes it easy to see what you have an eye level. The water dispenser works great and no issues with the ice makes as has been noted in some of the reviews. Matthew, our sales rep in the Riverdale NJ store was outstanding!

When you push the lever to get ice out water from the shute always runs down the side of the cup or your fingers it doesn't have a drip plate so we always have a paper towel sitting underneath nice when you spend this much money to have a paper towel folded for display . I have had problems with stuff freezing on the top shelf by the icemaker on the inside so I try to put items up there that won't get hurt by freezing a little. All of the major appliance I have in my house including TV's are Samsung products. This is the only complaint I have on any of the products.

Doors too Hard to Close!

I wish I had bought a diffeent brand. Main issue is the doors are too hard to close, and as a result are often accidentially left open which wastes a lot of energy by the time it beeps to let you know. 2nd. The larger model of this refridgerator had a top shelf in the freezer that automatically slid forward when the freezer door was open. It didn't fit in our space so we got the smaller counter size for the same price instead. Unfortunately, that feature doesn't work that way on it. You always have to pull the top drawer forward. 3rd. Some of the vegetable drawers have a high pitched squeek when they open that make me cringe and our dog heads for the hills! Otherwise, it seems well made and works fine so far.

If you ever want to have ice to make a drink, do not buy this refrigerator. Worst icemaker I've ever had in my life. Makes about 10 ice cubes a day.

We've had Samsung products previously and this is the first item that questions our loyalty to them. There is a known design flaw in the refrigeration unit that causes it to freeze over. This results in leaking from the fridge into the freezer compartment and onto your floor . The fix is to take the back panel apart, melt the ice that has formed on the coils, and put it back together. At best, this "fix" lasts 2 weeks. If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to steer clear of this unit.
