    Love My Modern Updated Samsung Fridge!!

    I’ve had my fridge for 2 mos. I really love it. It’s a lot smaller than my previous Samsung. My previous fridge It was too big for my kitchen but when I bought it, I didn’t measure anything. I fell in love with it and I bought it. 15 yrs later it started making noise, so I purchased this one. I read the reviews, liked them and made my decision. So, Thank you BB customers. I made sure to Not buy another oversized fridge again. I have more space in my kitchen now, and it doesn’t stick out. I measured this time. I read the reviews regarding the ice maker is small. Well, it’s fine for me and hubby. So I would say that it’s based on your family size and the amount of ice you use. The water dispenser is not designed the best, but it’s definitely is Not a deal breaker. We’ve learned to place our cups accordingly to the design of it and we’re use to it. No biggie. The ice maker dispense is very big in size, so we use big round cups and ensure that the cup covers the dispenser at the top which avoids ice spilling over the floor. Someone mentioned about the bottom on the freezer side which look as if there’s a shelf, but it’s not. It’s actually space with no shelf. That turns out to be wasteful to me. It could have been a shelf as well. Overall, I love my new sleek, modern fridge. It’s very spacious, and it keeps everything cold/fresh and organized. I give it 4 stars based on those issues. Other than that. I would have given it 5’s.

    Samsung Counter Depth - After Three Years of Usage

    We bought this refrigerator in June 2020 (right near the beginning of the pandemic) so it was purchased online without seeing it person. If you are considering buying this model, I would suggest reading good & bad reviews and watching multiple YouTube review videos to see if it suits your needs. 1. Please be aware that this is a counter depth refrigerator and therefore is somewhat small but perfect for a family of 2-4 people (or if you have another spare refrigerator). I love not having the refrigerator “stick out”. Our previous counter-depth refrigerator (brand WXXXXXXL) had multiple issues but cost twice as much over 13 years ago and lasted less than 10 years. Before this we had a built in refrigerator but that was awful as the repair costs for built-ins are about the cost of a new refrigerator. 2. Unfortunately the ice maker does not hold much. . . .either plan ahead by emptying and bagging the ice when full or buying ice at the grocery store to have on hand (especially for the summer months). BTW, the cubes are very small. The ice crusher works great – we love that feature. 3. Originally, I was concerned because the shelves are not adjustable. The shelf positioning are permanent but removable for cleaning. I had measured the heights of shelves in my current refrigerator, and they were very close, so I this wasn’t an issue. 4. I almost did not buy the refrigerator because of the unremovable wording “all around cooling” plastered on the back of the 1st shelf (is that really necessary??). Instead I place items in front of the wording so it doesn’t annoy me anymore. 5. There is no “deli” drawer. Not a deal breaker. 6. We tried setting the temperatures at the recommended (37 for refrigerator) which resulted in freezing items. On several occasions I had to discard bags of salad that were ruined. Eventually I found that the refrigerator works best at 40 degrees. I keep the milk in other items I want extra cold in the back. When we have extra guests I have to remind myself not to overfill the refrigerator by blocking the vents – guaranteed to result in frozen items. 7. During the first year I had an issue soon after I changed the water filter at the recommended interval. A week or so after I changed the filter, the water started tasting and smelling bad. I didn’t see any solutions online so I just removed the filter then placed it back and that seemed to solve the problem. 8. The water display does not have any lighting. I open the refrigerator door or turn on the kitchen lights if it dark when using. 9. My oven is right next to the refrigerator and several times when the open oven door and refrigerator door have been opened at the same time multiple dings were created. Make sure the clearance doesn’t cause damage to the appliance(s). 10. The stainless steel finish claims to be fingerprint-resistant. It still gets smudges and needs regular cleaning but not as much as the other stainless appliances in my kitchen. 11. I am noise sensitive but this refrigerator is pretty quiet. 12. Hearing that most appliances made nowadays are NOT made to last, so we purchased an extended warranty based on how many years we thought we’d be living in this house.

    The worst refrigerator I have ever had. The icemaker keeps jamming and when you pull out the tray, ice goes EVERYWHERE and it's difficult to unclog. It's a nightmare.

    After 4 months this broke, they took a week to order a part, the new part was also defective, ordered it again, another week, tried to install it and deemed the fridge unrepairable. I have no confidence in Samsung appliances anymore. Also the ice maker sucked when it did work.
