The fridge itself has been great, super quiet and everything stays fresh. I am on my second one, however. The first one was installed and quickly began making a high pitched noise whenever it was running. I called to have it replaced since it was within the return/exchange period and a new one was scheduled for delivery. In the meantime a tech came out to look at the fridge and said that the problem was the fan hitting its housing because the fridge wasn't balanced properly, one of the feet was higher than the others. He told us to proceed with the exchange as the fridge was likely ruined by this. When the second fridge came the same guys delivered it into the house. The guy who'd installed the first fridge said he'd adjusted the feet to make the doors line up. He showed me on the new one that the doors were off (right side a little higher than left) and said the replacement was balanced but he has to adjust the feet to line the doors. That sounded crazy to me so I told him to leave it as it was, the fridge balanced. After he left I looked at the manual and quickly found the correct way to line the fridge doors up by using an adjustment screw on the right door. That guy likely ruined countless fridges by bending the whole fridge to line up doors. Hopefully someone at Best Buy reads this and educates their delivery crews better, I can't imagine how many units get returned for this. TL;DR - This is a great fridge with a few annoying quircks: 1) Ice maker seems to fire ice into the container at high velocity, can be heard from all over the house. Otherwise very quiet. 2) There is an annoying delay when you depress the ice/water dispenser. Water dispenses immediately but you have to wait a few seconds for ice. Also, if you push the button too quickly to go from ice to water it won't actually switch to water. You have to slow yourself presses down. 3) DO NOT LINE UP DOORS BY USING THE FEET - THE DOOR WILL HAVE AN ADJUSTMENT SCREW.

This fridge gave us an issue after 4 months of using it and the issue continues from there. We had 3 maintenance people come out in a year until we finally said enough was enough and trade it in.

Samsung fridge is horrible we have had to have service in it for the ice maker it’s loud slow to dispense , leaks water and the mechanism on one door broke already.

Absolute garbage, will not last and Samsung will transfer you from department to department fumbling until the line disconnects and no one bothers to call back.

This refrigerator is the worst purchase I have ever made. I have had tons of service work done on this refrigerator. I would not recommend it to anyone.

With looks and functionality that are spot on, we knew we made the right decision to buy this model three years ago. Today, that confidence has been replaced by disappointment. A year ago, the ice maker shut down due to buildup of ice inside the unit's housing, preventing the cubes from being released into the tray. Half an hour's employ of an ice pick and a hair dryer later, problem solved...but only for a few weeks. After multiple recurrences, we gave up and now buy bagged ice. It's clearer and tastes better anyway, and we spend less on it in a year's time than we would on water filters. If there's a manufacturer making a residential fridge/freezer that can produce clear ice, we'd like to know which. When the ice maker does work, the sound of the finished cubes being dumped into the tray is startlingly loud. Our dogs barked at it at first, but all in the household eventually learned to tune it out. Twice in the last six months, the freezer door handle has fallen off the left side. Putting it back in place requires an allen wrench to disconnect the right side, then slide the handle - from right to left - back onto the metal nubs that hold the it in place. As some others have mentioned, the stainless steel exterior dings very easily, and without our knowing when or how. We have no kids, we're both very careful around it, and there's nothing for the doors to impact when opened completely. We were also influenced to choose this one as a result of owning a Samsung washer, dryer, and 60-inch LED TV that have been excellent. Indeed, this refrigerator offers versatile storage, freezes and cools well, and the LED lighting is nice and bright. All things considered, however, this was an unsatisfactory investment.

Ice machine freezes into a solid block and the mechanism broke. Nobody will service it. There's a class action lawsuit. Buyer beware.

My wife really wanted a French door 'fridge; I was ok with another side by side. Our old side by side ran all day and was really loud due to some poor repair work in the past, but it worked. I finally relented and got what she wanted. We got a great deal. With a Reward Zone coupon and the Texas Energy Star tax holiday, we walked out at less than very low sale sticker price which I've yet to see again. After living with it for a few months, it's OK but no real improvement over the old fridge. Yes, it runs less and more effeciently, but not really that much quiter than our 13 year old side by side. It's bigger than the old (though one of the smallest French door models) and barely fits into our refrigerator space but doesn't really seem to hold as much as the old one, or at least not as organized. The freezer seems overly large. It holds a lot, but we use the refrigerator more and find that the organization is a bit lacking and stuff gets lost in the back of the 'fridge. When you open the freezer door you can feel all of the cold air fall out and then the freezer always has to kick on after you close it to replenish the cold air. The ice maker isn't noisy except when it's dispening the disappointingly small cubes at a generally slow pace. We liked the satin finish available on other Samsung models, but we had to settle for the stainless steel finish which really attracts and holds fingerprints and scratches very easily. And it took awhile to get used to that huge shiny thing in the kitchen. One annoying fact is that you have to physically push the doors closed for them to close properly. The old fridge just took a small push and it would close itself. Overall, it works as a fridge and freezer; no problems there. But I'm no French door fan, and now the wife isn't either.

Found water puddles in my crisper drawer. This happened right after the extended warranty ran out.

Overall I think we are happy with the set as we bought the entire set in the Black Stainless. There are a few issues that we have had with the refrigerator, the fold up shelf broke almost immediately and is not covered by the warranty. It is $49 plus shipping to replace it. The ice maker was just repaired today as it kept freezing up, good thing we got the warranty. Apparently the hose was not in all the way and water was spraying inside the icemaker and causing ice to stick. Not great but stuff does break, I was hoping it would not have any issues yet since we bought it in April of 2016. The black stainless really doesn't seem to stay any cleaner than the regular stainless either. I was hoping it would, but I think one of the other finishes would have been better. I would also get the stove without the clock on the back since it seems to limit the size of the pots and pans on the stove. The grills all over the top are nice but as I mentioned it does limit the size, as my wife did scratch the clock part because there were too many pans on the stove. I hope this helps...

So far I love this refrigerator. It is bright inside so you can see everything, the pantry drawers are nice for keeping lunch meats and cheeses, the crispers also slide nice. The freezer slides very easy where other brands had more trouble opening. The ice maker does have some problems with the cube where it still makes some crushed, but that is not a problem for me. If you turn OFF the ice maker at night you will not be disturbed by the sound of it dropping ice into the tray. The control panel on the front works well. I really love this frige so far.

We've had this frig for two months. So far it is great. I spent several hours searching on-line, stores, and consumer reports. This refrigerator was the best value as far as looks, consumer reviews, features, and price that I found. It looks great, works great so far and has all the features that we were looking for. The quality/sturdiness of the shelves and drawers was much better than most of the other refrigerators we looked at in same price range. The cons are really not a big deal, except for the manual, it is really bad. I couldn't even figure out how to set the temperatures from the manual. I called Samsung customer service and they couldn't tell me either. It doesn't work the way they said. Finally I figured it out... and I'm a retired engineer. The ice maker started out a bit flakey... it stopped making ice twice and I had to turn it off and on to get it working... but lately it seems to be fine. Also, I had to remove one of the shelves to make enough room for taller stuff. My wife loves it... Overall, a very good refrigerator.

My wife and I have had this fridge in our new house for about 3 weeks. The space is great, and the ability to change the shelving configurations around quickly and easily is a huge bonus. I really like the "pantry" shelf too - it's great for deli items, etc. My only negative is that the water and ice from the dispenser still taste pretty strongly like plastic to me. The installer said that would happen with the first 1-2 batches of ice and 1-2 gallons of water, but it's still a pretty strong taste.

Not even 5 years old second time having to call a repair person. Do NOT BUY.

This has been a great purchase. I really like this fridge in the fact that it has plenty of room for large containers like milk to be able to go in the door. It has a little self that you can pull out or push in to make more room for height or more self room. It has plenty of freezer space. Overall it has a very well organized feel to it. This is a very good buy for the price.

I seldom write reviews with having to create accounts and passwords. But there is not a day that goes by that I don't say "I LOVE THIS REFRIGERATOR" So, I thought only fair that I tell everyone, since the reviews were what ultimately helped me decide on this frig. The space is incredible, it is quite, keeps up with ice making (we entertain a lot) and I am 5'2" and I can reach and see EVERYTHING. The freezer is equally as great. Hope this review helps you make a final decision since spending this much money is NEVER EASY

This fridge was exactly what I was looking for and the price I was looking for. Overall it performs very well and hasn't had any issues. 3 months in, I can now say the 2 things I would change about it. 1. Ice maker and water dispenser VERY slow. When I use GE or Kitchen Aid ice makers, they spit out water and ice very fast. 2. Buttons on fridge don't light up. I'm very surprised they didn't put tiny LED lights behind the buttons to light up at night. Usually not an issue, but would be nice so I could change from ice to water and disable the child lock. Since I paid far less than currently showing, well worth my money.

Have had this for 4 months. Love the freezer! Temperature control and lighting are excellent. Door shelves don't offer enough versatility, given the icemaker/water feature. While I would still recommend this refrigerator, I wish I had known these two negatives before I bought it: the water dispenser has a continual tiny drop of water; and the refrigerator makes cracking sounds, which I was told by the Samsung rep is normal noises made by contracting/expanding of the walls. Two other minor cons: the actual size according to the manual is not 25.6, but 24.8 cu ft. And the energy guide that came with the refrigerator is slightly less than the promo materials.

I hate this ice maker but love the frig. I bought it a year ago January and we started having trouble with the ice maker. It is extremely slow to dispense and water would shoot out before ice. Called Samsung, they came out from Lakes Electronics in Margate and reset it and did a few other things. Lasted a month or so, then failed again. Second time, Lakes Electronic came out (same guy) and replaced the ice maker. now, 2 months after that it just stopped making ice and I had water and ice all under the pantry storage bin and a huge mess. Third time calling Samsung and now 5 tickets later, they are refunding/exchanging the refrigerator. I'm waiting on next steps to get a replacement from best buy. I am a little uneasy about getting the same model. I can't tell you how long I waited to get all stainless appliances only to have this ongoing problem with the frig. Very disappointing!
