Customers are saying
Customers are enthusiastic about the spaciousness, adjustable shelves, design, and fingerprint-resistant feature of the refrigerator. They appreciate the ample storage space, flexibility in organizing the shelves, and stylish appearance. The fingerprint-resistant feature is also well-received. However, customers have concerns about the ice maker, noise, and water leakage. The ice maker seems to be unreliable and prone to breaking down, while the noise level and water leakage issues have also been reported.

Stylish, deceptivly spacious
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this after coming home from vacation to see our 15 year old unit had died. This was 1-3 options that fit in the space required, had the pull out freezer and dual doors (which my wife wanted) and came in stainless matching out other appliances. Bought with little other research as Ive had nothing but good experiences with Samsung appliances but even so I have been more than happy with my decision. Same size as our old unit but holds at least 50% more, completely silent other than maybe hearing the ice dispenser once a week, rapidly changes temp on request and extremely energy efficient. The higher end models with live cameras to check inventory or see through doors to view options without opening the door seem ridiculous. Great water, ice and crushed ice dispenser, holds as much food as our family of 4 require for a week and does have the nice anti slam door feature where it rolls to a soft close regardless of the force used to hip check or knee the drawer closed.Wife loves it, for me it wasnt my favorite 2k purchase but certainly not a painful one. Best options, price, service and brand for the cost. Hopefully a while but will get another.

It's the Little Things
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The refrigerator was purchased in November 2012 with a Geek Squad protection plan. In May 2014 the ice and water dispenser stopped working after routine filter change (used Samsung filter). Also, used four NEW Samsung filters when this happened as some filters can be defective, but this did not make a difference. You can hear the water dispenser/ice maker call for water in an attempt to work, but nothing happened. Geek Squad was notified the day this happened and they scheduled a service appointment with one of their certified repair companies. The first appointment was a “diagnostic” and once it was done the parts were ordered (this is where it just started to go downhill). The parts were unavailable from the vendor Geek Squad wants the repair company to use and my call, to Geek Squad, informing them that no parts for a repair equates to a product replacement. Within two days they approved the repair company to get the parts from another vendor. The certified repair company came out and replaced the “faulty” parts and spent three hours doing so. The repairman struggled to do his job due to lack of knowledge and tools (came in with a screwdriver and nothing else). Not only did I have to provide my tools for him to use, I had to also assist him in the repairs. After the “repairs” were complete, the issue was not resolved and damage was caused to my refrigerator. The damage included shelving bent and a large water leak within the refrigerator. Less than 24 hours after the “repair” there was approximately two gallons of water in the bottom drawer and bottom on the refrigerator. Geek Squad was notified that I know have an appliance that is damaged and still does not work as it should. Let’s see how good Geek Squad is. Hopefully it is replaced and not "repaired" by one of their certified repair companies.

Great fridge but, No cold water
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good fridge. We bought all new appliances and wanted to go with all the same brands for a more uniform style and stainless steel look. The only things we do not like is the water from the door comes out cool but not cold and there is no tray at the bottom so there is some messy spills and you can not soak out the hard water stains.

Love love love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge is awesome. Not only is it gorgeous, it has such great space and lighting. It's quiet. The layout after having a side-by-side is so refreshing. I just love it. Couldn't be more pleased.

Replaced the Old One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We picked this out to replace the old Samsung after the freezer died. The Best Buys here in Texas are in the process of remodeling, so they did not have a lot of selection in the store. We liked our old Samsung, so we just picked up the newer version. While the layout in the new one is more spacious, there are a few things missing. It does not have a covered door for butter (this is a minor issue considering the doors hold a lot more than the old one did), and the water filter is moved. It is the water filter that has us most concerned. The new water filter does not take up as much space as the old one, but if it leaks (and it will, whenever you change it unless you shut the water down everytime you change the filter), getting to the where the water is a pain. It leaks right into the crisper drawer, which, admittedly, does make it easier to dump the water. It also messes up anything you may have in the crisper drawer. The other big pet peeve is that you can see the wheels from the front. In all of the pictures on this website (and Samsung's), those are cropped out of the picture. There is no facia to cover the wheels, which makes it look cheap. All in all, it is a good fridge, but caveat emptor: if you have difficulty moving the fridge to get to where the water shut off is, you will spend a great deal of time cleaning up spilled water every time you change the filter.

Great value refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good refrigerator, great value. It did run into cooling issue in the top section but it was a faulty defrost sensor which required replacement. Search on YouTube for a video and on Amazon for the part and that will help you. Apart from that, the fridge is still going strong for 5+ years.

First and LAST Samsung appliance purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned different brands of refridgerators over the years and can honestly say that this one, without question, is the worst ever! The features that sold us were the convenient shelf adjustments, soft LED lighting, crisper drawers, long fresh food drawer with 3 different temp settings and the french door design with bottom freezer. We were also told of the great quality of the Samsung brand when it comes to refridgerators. It does have ample room for larger items in the top portion and seemed to be a good upgrade from our old side-by-side. The delivery day came on Jan. 3, 2013 and the crew were kind and courteous. We noticed a plastic wheel was missing from the slide out drawer in the bottom freezer. We found the wheel in the street where the delivery crew was putting it together before bringing it inside. Anyone can make a mistake and we were not upset at all, especially since it hadn't been run over by any passing cars. The wheel went on with no problem. After a day, we noticed a loud noise coming from the left rear of the unit which seemed to be the compressor. The noise continued to get louder over the next couple of days, lasting up to 5 minutes at a time. We called service to have someone come out to look at it. That's where our next surprise came from. We live next to a large metropolitan area, but the closest service center is 92 miles away! That told us immediately that Samsung applianaces do not have any kind of maintenance support. The noise continues to get louder. We decided that any appliance that has a major issue a day or two into ownership is not worth keeping around. We've traveled that road before with other products. So the fridge is going back and the service appointment will be cancelled. The ice dispenser is very sluggish and won't give any ice until the lever has been activated for a few seconds. Like I said before, absolutely the worst fridge ever! Huge disappointment from Samsung. This was our first attempt at a Samsung appliance and will definitely be our last!

Average
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the fridge is good, and has served me well. However, my only CON on this fridge is the Ice Maker. 1. VERY noisey making ice and drop cubes into tray 2. VERY SLOW dispensing ICE 3. ICE MAKER has stop peridocally 3 times now. You have to do a manual reset for it to start producing ice once again. Other then above it has served its purpose and all else is good on the fridge. Must change water filter every six months and the filters are not cheap. One thing I found out, DO NOT use any other brand of filter that is not SAMSUNG, as they often do not fit properly and LEAK. Using the SAMSUNG brand water filter you will have no problems.

Do not buy Samsung refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought a Samsung refrigerator two years ago and already the compressor has gone bad as well as the inverter switch. Samsung would not warranty the compressor because I unscrewed the back of the refrigerator. I didn't touch anything else inside. We called a service man to come look at it and $800 later, it's up and running. He told us not to ever buy a Samsung refrigerator and now we are sharing the message. If you want a Samsung, get a cell phone, not an appliance. Oh, and the ice machine, which is in the refrigerator jams all the time.

This is my first and def last Samsung fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since we were moving to a new house we had buy a new fridge. I was new to French doors, but got used to it quick. I love moving/ collapsible shelves in this model! It's something my husband was sold on... Anyways, delivery went well. That's what I thought at first. Only two months later to learn our fridge was not leveled at all!!! Which means water was collecting in deli door! Only few rounds of call to Samsung and problem got solved. If I was picked by India support it was a nightmare, and if my local US support it was more efficient. Shortly after delivery I noticed few dents. I was blaming my kids until I read other reviewer mentioned it. Then I realized it's way to high for by kids to cause dents in the area these are. Very weird. Something is not right. I hate to keep the surface of this fridge clean. It's a total nightmare. Even with stainless steel wipes applied it's not clean. The layout is manageable. I kind of hate you cannot get anything from deli draw with one fridge door open. The shelves on right door are nice. You can fit 2 gallons of milk on the bottom one! Freezer part is a little hard to keep organized, but I assume it's the same for all French door fridges. Within first 6 months we had an issues with water collecting in the deli draw because fridge was not leveled by delivery people. Very annoying. And I am not sure what's wrong with this fridge, but we have a problem with smell!!! It stinks a lot! And I have 3 packs of baking zone (for fridge) just in fridge itself! We never had this problem with other fridges and still buy/eat/cook/store the same food. Next time around I will not be looking into Samsung fridges.

Pretty pricey
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Play on words there. It looks and works great. On the high end of prices for comparable models. Ice maker is small and very slow to dispense. We ended up having to put an extra container in the freezer to stay ahead of demand and so we didn't have to wait for it to dispense. The tray below the dispense doesn't stop water from spraying all over if you accidentally hit the button wrong. Other than that it is very nice.

Great and beautiful fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I recently bought a home and replaced all of the appliances in the home. We looked to Samsung because of their amazing TV's so we figured that their appliances would be top notch as well, so far i have not been disappointed. We have had this fridge for 2 months now and would not change a thing about it. The fridge will hold anything we can throw at it plus some and the freezer is the same way. We have a deep freeze in the garage and have to make excuses to put stuff out there so it wont get lonely. Mostly our meat goes out there. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a new fridge. I also got this for 1899 on sale at our best buy over memorial day sale so the price could not have been beaten!

Horrible Samsung French Door Fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge looks great but has been trouble since day 1. I must say the guys did come out and replace the door that had a huge line down the front of the entire fridge. But after that- the fridge constantly made loud noises, the ice maker stopped working and never started again, the whole fridge would fill up with water and then freeze making the crisping drawers impossible to open. The two climate controlled drawers would fill with water making all the fruit ans vegetables ruin. Nothing would help fixed the problem- regardless of what we tried. Will NEVER buy another Samsung fridge again!!

Beautiful Monster
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Interior of fridge is huge! Love the two drawer freezer. Do not find that it is loud like other reviews. Very happy with purchase it is beautiful and keeps everything super cold. Kept it on Energy Saver but it did form condensation on inside door panels. Took off the energy saver as researched online and got rid of that problem immediately. The only con is that I wish the ice tray was transparent so you can see ice level. You have to remove tray completely in order to view how much ice you have.

Beautiful Fridge!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 3 Samsung major appliances at once so I have been getting to know the features/manuals of each and have waited to write my reviews. I am starting with this one beacause it is my favorite! :) First, this fridge is beautiful. I have no other words for it. I chose this model over the one with the exterior counter height drawer (which is what I had originally wanted). After spending an hour at the store opening and closing and measuring (LOL), I realized that this one simply had more door storage and we did not want to give that up. The pantry drawer is awesome. Holds EVERYTHING that I need it to and we have yet to fill it up. The fold aside shelf is perfect as we always have at least 1 bottle of wine chilling. I am able to put an entire airbake cookie sheet on one shelf to cool cookies, which is amazing and made my holiday baking that much easier. The ice maker is fast and not as noisy as my prevoius fridge (WPG Conquest). The water is COLD and it does not drip. IF you follow the instructions and dispense a few pitchers of water it will remove the air pockets and you will have no dripping. There is a place for everything and this is NOT a small fridge (even thought the specs state that it is 3 cubic feet smaller than the one we replaced). We will probably never fill it completely. The freezer space matches that. HUGE. And a turkey will fit in the bottom without crowding, as will frozen pizzas, so I was very happy about that. A gallon of milk fits in the door, but I like it on a shelf inside on the right(part of the above shelf folds away to allow ease of milk storage). No problem with finger prints or dents as the handles allow for all opening and beg to be touched. Nothing else to add except that I have my hubby's word that we will be buying this for the next house too! We both are amazed that we could like an appliance this much! Buy with confidence!

Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned this less than a year. 1. The left door has a magnetic flap that is supposed to automatically fit into a groove so it seals both doors. After 1 week it no longer does & we have to be sure to flip it out or the doors don't seal shut. I called samsung & they said to adjust the doors. I had to remind them their product has a Left door that is NON adjustable....no other help for it then.. 2. It is the noisiest piece of equipment I have ever owned. If you read the reviews on this believe it. It does sound like a plane starting up! 3. The ice maker has already stopped making ice. I did the suggested reset & it started working again, but if was a great product it wouldn't have stopped working already. Overall I don't like it...nor do I trust it will keep working.

Terrible product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge is a piece of garbage and leaks like a sieve. The through-the-door ice maker has been a problem since day 1. The fridge never gets as cold as what the thermostat reads (I have a thermometer in the fridge and freezer to monitor temps). The ice maker is inside the refrigerator compartment, which causes the ice to melt and leak into the fridge compartment, as well as leaking out the through-the-door ice chute. When you open the door you are greeted by water pouring from the ineffective drip tray all over the floor and running down the front of the fridge. We have contacted Samsung and had a repair technician out 4 times in the first year of ownership. The problem still is not fixed and Samsung states that we are outside of the one-year warranty on the product so they will not do anything more despite the fact that they never fixed the problem within the warranty period. They refuse to repair or replace this defective item. The water that runs all over the "stainless steel" front panels leaves water stains all over the panels that don't ever seem to come clean. You should see the handprints that get left behind too. Overall poor quality product and Samsung does not stand behind their products. No problems with the Best Buy - this just is a terribly manufactured product. Avoid this product!!

Doesn't operate well and built poorly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On delivery we discovered that the CoolSelect Pantry drawer was off track. A service technician discovered that the screw holes for the track were improperly drilled so the drawer couldn't slide. No repair could be made. We had to replace the refrigerator. Then we learned that the ice maker wouldn't produce whole cubes of ice - we get shaved ice and small chunks. Because Best Buy no longer services their appliances through Geek Squad, I've had to deal with Samsung directly for warranty work. It has been an utter nightmare. Two weeks later and after multiple phone calls, I have yet to schedule service because my online receipt through Best Buy didn't itemize each appliance but only listed a total price. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator.
