Other than the flap between the doors not closing properly all of the time, this is a great refrigerator. Tons of space and a lot of shelves that move to many different settings. You can also fit two gallons of milk in the door slot!

We have had this fridge for exactly two years now and about a year and a half after we got it we started having problems with the ice maker and had to have a repair man come out every two months to fix it. Water started coming out before the ice and the ice was slushy, it would stop making ice and we would have to wait another day to get any ice at all. When we first got the fridge we had issues with the freezer drawer making a squeaking noise when you open it. We called Best Buy and they did have someone come out right away and replace the drawer. Overall the fridge is nice, it is too bad you can't use the ice maker. For spending the amount of money we spent on the fridge I would like to have my ice maker work. I will not by another Samsung refrigerator.

1. Known common problem where condenser freezes up obstructing fan causing fan to break. Contributing to problem: frequent breakage of sensor units, control panel, and fan breakage, cost of repair is often $600. 2. Samsung has poor customer service and a short 1 year limited warranty. 3. Temporary fix: hold down freezer and light buttons for 10 seconds until all lights go out. Push freezer button again, cycling through to “Fd”. This is forced defrost. Ok to leave stuff in freezer but best to empty fridge and leave doors open. 4. Other issues, Open door sound is too soft and doesn’t work. Doors must be pushed shut. Cheap plastic interior can’t be disassembled to acccess freeze up problem. Pinch clips in center by water filter..... but I’d break plastic if I did that. 5. The Samsung HDTVs I have bought worked great but were never finished, items were missing from menus and instruction manuals, same problem with Samsung refrigerators. Obvious and serious problems are not fixed,

While I like the refrigerator and features, Samsung has an issue with ice build up, water, etc - search online. We have lived with water underneath our bottom tray since about 6 months in. We bought it right before 'the lock down" and had issues getting repair/replacement so have just dealt with. Recently, the ice build up and fan issue began (again, Google this issue). Contacting repair and support to see if they will fix. Love their phones but will not purchase a Samsung refrigerator ever again. Don't take my word-Google for more info on their issues

We bought this fridge because it was fairly moderately priced, it looks great, good interior space, and has the outside water/ice feature. However, we've returned it twice because it makes the worst fan noise I've ever heard from an appliance. I can hear it over the TV and all throughout the house. It sounds like a loose fan coming from the back/bottom side of the fridge, but Samsung said it's normal when they came to look at it. My parent's 14 year old fridge makes less noise than this thing. We're replacing it with another brand, maybe LG.

We bought this fridge for out new home. We had no issues with the fridge. No unexpected noises. Electronics work as expected. Water dispenses did not break down. Ice maker works perfectly fine. The thing my wife loves about this fridge is that we can put our magnets on the doors :)

The bad news first so I can get it out of the way. The delivery came promptly. I had measured the available area and it was large enough to accommodate the new refrigerator, but when the delivery guy came, he said he had been doing this for 9 years and the overhanging cabinet was too low. So he left after recommending that I purchase a Whirlpool instead because it was an inch shorter than the Samsung. After he left, I called my handyman who adjusted the cabinet up an inch and I called the delivery department to see if they could come back. The best they could do was to return with the Samsung unit the next day which they did. It was installed fine and when he left, I saw that there was a full inch and a half space to the cabinet above the refrigerator. We readjusted the cabinet to where it was before and there was still a half inch of space! The original installation could have been done without any adjusting of the cabinets. So I wasted a day and $50. The good news is that I couldn't be happier with the new fridge. It took about 2 hours for the refrigerator temperature to hit 37 degrees and about 2 more hours for the freezer to hit 0. The door shelves on the left are not of much use because of the ice maker and water dispenser but the right door shelves are large and adjustable. The shelves inside are very flexible and can adjust to your needs. Love having my sodas really cold and 37 degrees does the trick. The crispers drawers are convenient and have adjustments for humidity, and the full width pantry drawer has temperature adjustments to accomodate party trays, pizza, and other foods that require slightly warmer or colder temperatures. The lighting is good and the doors open easily and seal well when closed. The fridge and the freezer are spacious and should be large enough to accommodate most families. It is quiet and looks great in the kitchen. I saved $600 by taking advantage of the July 4th sale. Another excellent product by Samsung. My best refrigerator ever (so far).

I ordered this Samsung refrigerator at the store and it was delivered four days later. It didn't work. It never cooled or froze. Some of the food I'd put in was ruined the next day when I realized it never had worked properly. I also, during this time, realized I hated the water feature on the front because the water shoots out at a high level of pressure, causing liquids to splash out of the glass. The water also drips down the front of the fridge after you remove the glass, causing water stains on the stainless steel. The fridge also had a non-stop plastic/chemical smell inside that was very strong every time the doors were opened. I called Best Buy and they confirmed it was broken, and offered to fix it under the mfg's warranty. I scheduled this, then realized I was allowed a return since it was less than 15 days since delivery. I went to the store in person and said I wanted to return it. The store manager allowed my return, since it was the store policy, but I was frustrated no one had told me this when I initially had called about the defective fridge. It took Best Buy 7 days to deliver a new fridge. I opted for a similar LG model since I no longer trust Samsung appliance quality and because I disliked the features and odor of this fridge. I also think the 7-day delivery was ridiculous given that Best Buy had delivered a defective fridge in the first place. A store with good customer service would have rushed to deliver a new fridge within a day or two. Thumbs down to Best Buy and Samsung.

I purchased one of these refrigerators 6 years ago. After 5-1/2 years, the ice maker stopped working and the refrigerated section iced up. A repair man placed a heater in the refrigerator and section that took care of the icing problem. That cost me $450. I decided not to fix the freezer, as that would have cost me another $450. One month later, I had to have the heater replaced. Two months later, it started icing again. The repair man said this was a common problem with this refrigerator. I'M BUYING A NEW REFRIGERATOR, AND IT'S NOT GOING TO BE A SAMSUNG.

poorly optimized space. For such a large fridge, you'd expect to be able to fit more inside. water pressure in the water dispenser is great, however the ice maker failed after 2 years. Very disappointing

For the first 3 years this refrigerator did great...... after that it went downhill. First the ice maker began freezing up and eventually died. After paying to have it replaced, it never was 100% and continued to freeze up periodically. Then a year later the board went bad, add the cost of that repair plus lost groceries. Now the the compressor has malfunctioned leaving us down yet again. (luckily we purchased a second fridge for the garage as a backup) The repairman said that between the labor to fix it, and the fact that he's worked on more 4 year old Samsung appliances lately than another brand, we would be better off buying a new one....different brand of course.

Don’t waste your money. I bought this refrigerator only three years ago, 6 months after my purchase it started building ice and making sounds. I have to defrost it every three months since then. Obviously is out of warranty. It’s just a nightmare!!!

Beautiful looking. Easy to adjust shelves for tall and small items. Holds lots of groceries and has plenty of space for gallon containers. My wife was a little skeptical about the bottom freezer, but we use the fridge a lot more than the freezer and can see everything without bending down. The freezer holds a ton of food and is nice with the extra sliding shelf. When ice comes out it is a little loud but it produces a lot and it makes it very fast. We have had this for 1 week and over all are very happy!

We purchased this fridge as part of a 4 piece Samsung bundle. We have gone through 3 of these things. All of them have had issues with the water dispenser dripping quite a bit when not in use. The 3rd one we got sounds like a truck idling when it's running. It shakes the house. I'm sure some people got a good fridge with this model, but our store keeps delivering faulty ones to us.

Only worked for 4 years. Ice buildup was an issue and eventually both refrigerator and freezer stopped working.

I just received mine. Looks amazing!!!! The two delivery men were very polite. professional. I was very impressed. As for the 5 to 10 texts and phone calls from best buy telling me incorrect delivery reminder times. Extremely rediculas. The stress free delivery due to these employees made up for it.

Thank God we have not had the problems some of the others have. However, I did purchase this refrigerator for many reasons, but mainly for the crushed ice feature. My husband has medical issues and crushed ice is what he can eat by mouth. Know that you will still have to buy ice. The ice maker makes a very small amount of ice and is very slow to rebound. It certainly is not for a family who likes cold drinks.

I love the freezer layout and space. But wouldn't recommend getting the ice maker function: besides taking up too much space in the refrigerator, it is very NOISY. And I believe I may not have to replace the defrost sensor assembly today at a cost of $400 in an 18-month-old refrigerator had I not had the icemaker/water dispenser. I've had many problems with my fridge, mostly relating to unacceptable operating noises.
