    Only buy this fridge if you want a lifetime of hassle and frustration!!! Worked for a year, then the ice maker started to malfunction. The back wall freezes, causing the top shelf to become hot. The back wall freezing causes the fan to stop altogether. When that’s not happening, the ice maker becomes jammed and ice will not be made. We’ve spent the last year watching you tube videos to troubleshoot on our own as Samsung refuses to help unless it’s on our dime. Any money spent will be used to purchase a new fridge not manufactured by Samsung. About once a month, we have to empty the fridge and freezer completely and move all items into a cheap Fridgidaire in our garage. That cheap $400 fridge is far superior to this piece of junk! We then have to leave the Samsung unplugged for days to thaw out the back wall of the fridge. I had to throw out all of the items on my top shelf yesterday again!!!! Only buy this fridge if you like watching you tube videos and tinkering with your fridge on a monthly basis. My husband has to take the thing apart regularly, spend hours with a blow dryer, it’s a nuisance. Our four kids cringe every time we say, grab the food, time to empty the fridge again!!! The icing on the cake is Samsung customer service which is a joke. They need to stick to cell phones. Worst home purchase we’ve ever made.

    WORST REFRIGERATOR EVER. Ice maker just worked for 8 months. the fridge worked for 4 years. Refrigerator worked 4 years after that even the samsung technician told us to buy a new one. NEVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!

    Do not buy a Samsung Refrigerator

    We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator in January 2015 and the first refrigerator delivered had to be replaced because the freezer wasn't cooling after it was delivered. A second refrigerator was delivered and installed. Paid $2100. Now, three years old, there was water pooling under the pantry drawer regularly. Called Samsung for recommendations and replaced the water filter (over $50) and reset the ice-maker with no favorable results. We removed the ice-maker and checked it. Requested repair estimates, which totaled over $900 to replace the parts for the leak. After reading so many negative reviews and issues with repairs on this leak (many were unsuccessful and the leaks continued) we decided to cut our losses and replace this piece of junk. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again and would highly recommend anyone considering it research reviews from other owners.

    Do not buy this refrigerator! The ice maker will break over and over and over and the main refrigerator will leak onto your floor unless you have a towel to place under it at all times and exchange it at all times. Please do not buy this product. I am just trying to help others.

    The month after the one year warranty expired, below the crisper drawers began filling up with water, every month. Every month we have to bail the water out. Recently, the freezer quit working completely. We lost over $300 worth of food. This refrigerator isn't even 2 years old. It is a lemon. Search around. Do not buy this. Samsung is not a good refrigerator brand.

    We have had this fridge since we moved into our new house in January and love it. The water tastes great and the ice is made quickly. Sometimes the cubed ice comes out too small but this is a minor gripe. There is a ton of space and we love that you can organize the shelves however you want.

    Fridge freezes in the back

    After 2 years, inside the back of the fridge collected ice so that the fan was hitting the ice and made noise. We opened it up and defrosted the back. It was fine for few months until it happened. Then, the food and milk started to freeze in the fridge. I called Samsung and they said to raise the front which did not help. On forum, there 18 pages of this known problem but no solution. We contacted local appliance repair who states this is known problem and fixed the sensor. When the food froze again, he fixed the thermostat twice and still had problems. Spent over almost $400 in repair, countless hours defrosting fridge, and only solution is to get another fridge besides Samsung.     Buyer Be Aware

    Please be aware of a problem that most Samsung products suffer from. Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

    I bought a SAMSUNG Refrigerator ON 07/28/2013 IT STOPPED WORKING ON 09/22/2015 IT COST $2133.44 I CALLED SAMSUNG AND THEY SAID ITS OUT OF WARRANTY WOULD I LIKE A SERVICE CALL WHICH IS $60 JUST FOR THEM TO SHOW UP THEN ITS $90/HR + PARTS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT SO I SAY YES THEN THE SERVICE GUY CALLS ME SAY THEY WILL BE OUT ON 9/25/2015 BETWEEN 10-2 NEVER SHOWS THEY CALL ME AT 3 AND SAYS THEY HAD CAR ISSUES THERE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT WOULD I LIKE THEM TO COME OUT ON 9/28/2015 I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN HOW DISCUSSED I AM WITH THIS WHOLE ISSUE SO NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A SAMSUNG ANYTHING AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OR ANY OTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT TO ANYONE THANKS

    I have had trouble with my Samsung freezing up behind back panel since a year after I bought it. and forget customer service. I would buy an old time ice box before I put one penny in a Samsung product again.

    This Samsung is the worst product you want to buy. I bought this unit and have the problem with the ice maker and leaking water from the ice maker compartment from the day one. After 4 failure of trying to fix it by the Samsung, they said my warranty of this unit is expired. I try to tell them that this problem happen from day one ( when the unit was still under warranty ). They refuse to get the refund for this DEFECTED unit. They replace a new part four times and still break down after 1-2 months of the new part. This is the WORST refrigerator that everyone would like to buy. So think twice before you or anyone would like to buy this Samsung unit.

    Piece of crap! Dont EVER buy a Samsung Fridge. Ice machine has broken down at least a dozen times, Samsung Customer Service is HORRIBLE. Unless you want to deal with a Lemon, please look elsewhere.

    I got this in december and moved in may. When I moved we treated this with the most care, only for it to die in the process. Rented one while geek squad came to check it, they said its the compressor had to deal with samsumg warranty. Here I am 3 months later, with samsumg offering to reimburse the cost of the fridge, not the taxes, and best buy offering to replace for some fridge of their choosing. Not Happy.
