Always wanted a French door fridge, and the ice maker is so efficient.

There is a class action suit against Samsung for its refrigerators. Ice maker consistently freezes up and repair men from Samsung know squat. There is a Facebook page with 2000 people having this problem. Part replacement which is not guaranteed for long is over $400. Read the horror stories. Every few weeks we have to chip out the ice to get ice maker to work.

Love my new fridge. The only draw back and it's a small one is there's not as much door space on the left side as the right side. I can't put large or tall products on the left side. But, I can live with that. I love that I can open the doors and see everything at once. No more hunt and peck.

This refrigerator is very functional and great looking. The freezer is roomy and convenient. The water dispenser has an automatic light that goes on when using and works very efficiently with no dripping. The frig is well lit and the compartments are very handy and roomy. The doors hold so much that it frees up the shelves for other things. It is very quiet operating. We are extremely happy with its performance thus far.

We purchased the Samsung Refrigerator in late 2014 - 1 year later the ice machine started to freeze up. Service Tech Called, $250 - stated that Samsung knows of the issue and there is no actual fix. The Service Bulletin does not actually fix the design flaw. Now we must defrost the ice maker every 4-6 weeks. This is the last Samsung product we will ever purchase.

Don't buy one of these! Just Google Samsung Class Action Lawsuits and you'll get all you need to know about them. Mine is now a total waste after several feeble attempts to fix it. Mold from water collecting in the crisper drawer, back panel freeze ups, ice maker than won't work, I'm taking a total loss on it and replacing it. Doubt me at your own risk.

While this fridge looks stylish and has some great new features when compared to my last 15 yr old model, it also has some major flaws: 1. The ice comes out crushed on all settings. How is this possible? 2. The compressor is very loud when it turns on. 3. Ice cubes are not easily accessible when reaching into fridge. 4. Plastic tray in freezer is cheap and it squeaks very loudly. I purchased this model for a great price, however, if I had to do it again, I would spend the extra to get the higher end model.

Do not buy this Fridge. I bought it in 2015, and it worked fine for the first year. I've now had the same problem happen to me in June of 2016, July, and now September. Ice builds up in the fridge's fan and the whole fridge starts to get warm. If I didn't have the warranty, I would have been on the hook for repairs of about $300 every time. They've come out and fixed THE SAME PROBLEM 3 times. Best Buy still won't get me a new fridge. Avoid this fridge at all cost, unless you enjoy waiting for Geek Squad to come around, and having to take time off of work to get this fixed regularly.

The cooling on the refrigerator constantly quits working. The fan on unit keeps icing over which keeps the fridge from cooling. The freezer works fine but not the fridge. A tech came out the first time that it happened and said that these units were bad for that and said that if I unplugged the unit to let it defrost that it would start working again and it did. I have to keep cutting off the power to the unit at least every other month.so that the fan will defrost. You can tell when it is starting to freeze because the fan gets very noisy.

Glad we bought the extended warranty. Water dispenser stopped working almost immediately after the initial warranty expired. Due to Covid it has taken a few years of visits from multiple repair teams to finally decide that it can’t be fixed.

I bought this refrigerator less then 2 years ago and the Ice Maker is no longer producing ice. Samsung only has a one year warranty on it. It is only my wife and me leaving in the house, so it does not get over used.

I bought a new fridge for my rental property and the ice machine went out within a few weeks. It cost me $500 to replace it. Had I known Samsungs new fridges were poorly made I would have never have purchased one. The tech told me that he goes around daily and fixes Samsung new machines because of the same problem. The ice machine boards go bad immediately.

I bought this back in November 2017 and I had to call up Samsung to come out and repair the ice maker. This is highly disappointing since everything else works great on it. I replaced my old fridge because the ice maker stopped working...after 10 years. I cannot believe that this fridge didn't even make one year before it needed repairs.

I have had this for four years. The coolant system has gone out twice! The ice maker sucks. It’s broke. And the Samsung service sucks!

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. Similiar to other complaints, water begain collecting under the deli tray. Currenly fighting samsung to have this model replaced.

This refrigerator only last 6 years and a half. It started giving us problems around the 5 years period. Had to replace it with a new refrigerator due to cooling problems. Freezer worked fine, but upper portion stopped cooling because a poor designed (explained by Geek Squad Technician) with a faulty temperature sensor that did not sent the correct information to the motherboard casing the refrigeration process to stop. Sensor was replaced, but it last 2 weeks and started giving us the same problem. Don't buy this appliance, it will give you a headache and is a waste of money. We threw away over 2K with this purchase plus the services paid after the guarantee, plus extended guaranty purchase ended. Prior refrigerator made by Kenmore lasted over 20 years. Too bad those are no longer made.

The ice maker freezes up. It's difficult and in some cases impossible to repair. Nothing in the owner's manual addresses it. It's a design flaw and so common a problem that Samsung has issued a service bulletin about it. Avoid this model at all costs.

The ice maker stopped working at year 1, it would get frosted over and jam every 2 weeks. At year 9 the entire fridge is frosting over, the fan gets iced and the refrigerator stops cooling.
