    This design of this ice maker is GARBAGE!! We have had problems with this fridge 6 months after getting it and are still having problems after having the entire ice maker replaced. Samsung really dropped the ball on this one and now that I'm out of warranty would have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix this fridge again only too have it start freezing up again in a few months. I've resigned myself to having to manually defrost this ice maker every couple of weeks. I'll never buy Samsung again.

    After 3 years of problems it isn't working anymore

    The ice maker broke down about a year ago and the fridge doesn't drain into the drain pan so it backs up and leaks. It doesn't work anymore, so disappointed but glad to be able to get a new fridge. Our last Whirlpool fridge (side by side) is still running after 18 years.

    Do not buy this refrigerator! The ice maker is known to be defective and the refrigerator doesn’t maintain temperature. A quick google search you will find plenty of info on this. Check the BBB too. There is even a Facebook page dedicated to this. There is no permanent fix for this problem.

    I purchased this fridge from Best Buy in November 2014. Worst purchase I have ever made. Since I bought it it has froze up numerous times. I've had it services under warranty several times and it still does not work. Now Samsung has no one to service their appliances within 60 miles and has told me there is nothing they can do for me. I think it is lousy that Best Buy sells(pushes) Samsung appliances but has no one to service them. Not only did my fridge go out but my motor to our dryer just went out that i bought at the same time and Samsung will not do anything about that either. Do yourself a favor and buy a Whirlpool or Maytag. All the service guys in our area refuse to work on Samsung and say to stay clear from from buying them.

    Broke 3 times in 3 years - Bad Product & Service

    Should be a great fridge but after $700 in repairs before it was 3 years old the ice box has failed again. Granted, this is the fault of HNG Appliance which Samsung contracts which in the Seattle area is unfortunately for Samsung the warranty and so called specialist. So Samsung puts out a product that loses the refrigeration components (turned it into a freezer) which in turn apparently fried the water line system to the ice maker. Then they had HNG appliance be the recommended agency but it stopped working 2 weeks after HNG's 90 day warranty. Last fridge went 18 years w/o any repairs/service. Samsung/HNG combo can't even prevent 3 sets of repairs in under 3 years. Don't buy it

    Spend the few extra dollars and get a decent fridge. This was working great, love the storage, the drawers etc but after only 4 months I am battling Samsung because the freezer is only at 50 degrees. Its been determined that theres a leak in the system but this is just too much for a 4 month fridge. Also, its like ring around the rosey with Samsung support, if you take the risk with this fridge, get the Best Buy warranty, wish I would have to begin with.

    Had problems with this refrigerator since day one. It doesn't get cold causing food to spoil. It's constantly dripping wet causing water all over the insides. The ice maker continues to freeze up. Have to put this refrigerator in defrost mode every other week. I wouldn't recommend this refrigerator to no one.

    I continue to be surprised by the number of positive reviews for Samsung French door refrigerators, given the huge number of us who suffer from the failed icemakers (among other problems) and the longstanding class-action lawsuit against Samsung. Cleaning out the icemaker by hand and screwdriver every two weeks since the warranty expired is a chore that shouldn't be necessary. The huge buildup up ice around the icemaker and some similar issues with the freezer compartment is inexcusable given the price of these refrigerators. Samsung has consistently refused to acknowledge the problem, likely given the potential financial impact.

    i bought this 2 years ago and last year i started having problems with ice maker leaking threw front door and making slush or no ice, called geek squad and they have already came to fix 3 times, well today is the last time im done, now theres a sheet of ice under bottom drawer and frost in the freezer...going this wknd to exchange fridge! BEWARE WE ARE TESTERS

    It broke after 4 years... the fan doesn't work, it loses water and doesn't cool... it seems to be a common problem for Samsung

    Saw alot of negative reviews about this refrigerator but my salesman told me not to listen to the reviews especially with samsung because they sell so many refrigerators of course some will be bad. Ive had this model for a month and the icemaker no longer dispenses ice and the the electronic flap that opens inside the door to let the ice out is stuck on. It just keeps opening and closing hour after hour. Im waiting for the mechanism to burn out. Anyway i gotta wait until the part is in before they will come to fix. It. Apparently he just took the liberty to order a new icemaker since they so commonly go out. Why dosnt samsung either fix the problem or take the model out of service.

    Brought this unit brand new and it was deemed unrepairable within 6 months. The replacement was then deemed unrepairable within a year. Samsung's customer service is terrible and we have been without a fridge for two months so far. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this unit!

    I have been on the phone with Samsung on several occasion to discuss how loud the frig is when compared to the 20 years Maytag it is replacing. The tech has been to the house and has told me that what I am hearing is normal. When I compare it to the units in the store (be aware that the compressor aren't turned on in the display units) it is louder. Although this frig is larger than the one it replace, much of the space is wasted. My family finds that it doesn't have as much usable space. If I could take this unit back to the store I would. I am very unhappy with this product.

    This is a very expensive refrigerator - we bought 5 years ago. It has been NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. I expected the ice maker to work dependable - it does not. Google it - this model has recurring ice maker problems - with water leaks and jams, as does mine. We've had the ice maker unit replaced twice - but these still leaks. I believe it's a design flaw in the model. So - you will get it too. Additionally - we now have repeated ice jams behind the back wall of the inside refrigerator. Freezing ice - in the wall of the refrigerator - that blocks air flow. We've now had to defrost the refrigator 3 times - and it still happens. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. This was a very expensive purchase for us - and has been NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.

    I had 3-4 service calls on this refrigerator in the last 4 years and now since it is out of warranty, I have to replace it. The issue that last technician told us is an issue with the refrigerator installation and Best Buy warranty doesn’t cover it. This is ridiculous that they don’t even cover their owns installation issues. I always buy electronic products from Best Buy and doesn’t have any issues with any other products/appliances.

    Cheap & Junk Warranty

    This refridgerator has been a pain from the minute we got it. The fingerprints are very hard to get off the door; moreso than competitors. Also had the fridge stop working. Samsung is impossible to deal with for warranty concerns. Very unfriendly, unresponsive and when I said I would explore the competitors, she said "go right ahead." There is no loyalty to their customers, no integrity in their quality and no reliability for these appliances. Buy something else.

    Not happy with the refrigerator. Purchased it October 2019 and we are already having alot of issue with it. Thought Samsung was a good name, however, probably will not purchase another samsung item.

    Good fridge for the price, but very loud/noisy

    The fridge makes loud popping noises from the hot/cold air pressures from within the pipes. I had a service professional take a look at it and he said that the manufactured energy saver pipes don't do well with the pressure from the temperature changes. Results in a crack or pop noise.

    Ice maker ices over and stops working constantly. Because if this, it leaks and causes mold. Techs have come multiple times to fix and it isn’t fixed. DO NOT BUY!
