I ordered this model around Christmas of 2016. We waited 2 days to get it working but it was not cooling at all. We went back to Best Buy Pacific sales and explained them the problem of cooling. The Sales person told us to call their service department and they told us to do few troubleshooting but no luck. The person over the phone told us that it seems like a bad Compressor. We again went back to Pacific sales and talk to the salesman. He told us that they can exchange it but we decided not to go with Samsung and we bought a LG. We got a good discount for all the troubles we gone through the Holidays. The LG Refrigerator is working just fine and we are happy with us. This is at the Union City CA and the Salesman Tom was very helpful. I can't believe that the Brand new Refrigerator was shipped with bad Compressor. I am glad that I bought LG. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the Samsung.

I would run the other way on this one.About 2 years into ownership it started freezing everything on the top shelf due to a design issue. had to pay over $300.00 for repair. That is not the worst. Icemaker keeps freezing up and won't produce ice. Every 3 weeks I have to take a hair dryer to the icemaker to thaw it out. Have had a technician to our house 11 times to attempt repairs. Samsung has no fix. If you want to spend $1500.00+ for a fridge with a lposy icemaker this is the one

Less than 2 yrs old I had to have it serviced to the tune of $349! The fan on the back of the unit was making a loud noise and was icing up. This was due to a faulty sensor and defrost part.Not under warranty after 1yr!!!!Beware

Purchase this unit in 2017 and now the compressor has gone out.. Minimum cost of labor $450.00!!!! Very displease. Unacceptable. will never buy LG appliance again.

All the negative reviews on here are completely accurate. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. Unless you want an unreliable ice maker, or no space for tall items. So, either buy a gallon of orange juice, or a gallon of milk. Can’t fit both! Oh, and just forget about a 2 ltr bottle of soda too. I have to go into my icemaker constantly and break up the icebergs that are somehow created under the coils and spirals. I just wanted a fridge that makes ice and gives me cold water. Now I have an expensive piece of metal that gives me zero ice, and room temperature water.

Like scores of other people, our Samsung refrigerator looks good but doesn't perform well. The ice-maker is terrible and quit working correctly after 18 months. By then, we had already reverted to buying ice because the ice-maker is pathetic. More importantly, after two years, ice build-up behind the back panel began interfering with the fan...making a loud noise when active. Defrosting is a temporary fix. When I took a look at the back panel to remove it and melt the ice, I saw multiple cracks in the plastic. This is a common problem spanning multiple models of Samsung refrigerators. We won't be buying another Samsung appliance.

Much better unit than we had before, though it has taken some time to get used to where to store food and drinks.

Ice maker is total garbage. Have to defrost it like an old 70's freezer every 60-90 days or it freezes up solid. I have Samsung appliances, TV's, phones. No more....

This refer is great when brand new. We have young children and they slam the French Doors; they do it less and less, but it seems like the fridge can't handle a single slam. No matter what we do, ALL six shelves on the doors crack and fall out every 3-6 months. It costs $250 each time to replace them. Also, the ice maker is really small and not able to handle a family of 4 in the summer. On the positive side, there are no cold spots or unintentional freezing. We would not purchase this type of fridge again.

Five years later I would expect my appliances to be working. Haven’t been able to use the ice dispenser for 2 yrs. repair man couldn’t fix it. Water was leaking inside and now the freezer went out 9/29/21. Bought the appliance package and the dish washer doesn’t work properly too and Parts no longer available. DON’T BUY THEIR APPLIANCES!

I have been an avid fan of Samsung until now. I've had this refrigerator for a few weeks and the water dispenser drips water, sometimes 30 drops for one minute after filling a glass, and then it continues to slowly drip. Also, this unit isn't quiet, it occasionally makes loud cracking noises. I replaced my well-working 13 year old Kenmore Elite for this thing and wish I hadn't.

Don't buy this refrigerator. Ice maker freezes up and doesn't produce ice. Should have done more research on my end, seems like everyone is having the same issue.

Don't waste your money. So far I have gone through 2 ice makers in under 3 years. Samsung customer service is the worst!!!!!!

It's the worst, it's very pretty but it doesn't work. Samsung should only do what they know how to do, which is cell phones and televisions. In 6 years, 5 times it has needed repair, two of the technicians told me that they are one of the refrigerators that they repair the most. And the 10-year warranty doesn't cover any of those repairs. So if you have to have a nice fridge but it doesn't work make sure you buy Samsung.

We have had the ice maker board changed out 4 times now the water is stuck none will come out new water filter and no water will never buy Samsung AGAIN!!!!

Product preformed great for 6 months and then frig side cooling went out. Samsung warranty seemed to be on top of things at first, but 3 weeks later, no solution-no cold food. THEY SENT a repairman out who diagnosed problem and said circuit board and fan was out, common problem to him on all Samsungs. But now Samsung is stating there is no repair center in my area. My sister-in-law who worked at a major chain warned me about Samsung but I didn't listen. I thought with more good reviews than bad, product would be OK. BUT SO SORRY NOW!!!

It’s hard to clean large shelf’s and all the right side shelf’s fell and broke early on I could really put anything on them

If you google this model you will find a plethora of issues mainly stemming from the drain assembly. It freezes up constantly...for me it's every 3-5 months. Once this happens, the ice builds up in the back and causes the whole refrigeration cycle to inefficiently work until one day you notice condensation on glass bottles. I like Samsung for phones and TVs, but I will never buy another Samsung fridge again. It worked for about a year before these problems starting cropping up. I've had it now for 5 years, and I'm ready for a new one.

If there is no star I would have given this worthless refrigerator. Poor quality. Junk! They do not stand by their product. They know it's junk. It is my opinion this company is scamming the public and should be sued in a class action lawsuit.
