Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this Oct 18th 2018 and it's already out this is ridiculous almost $3,000 fridge and they only offer a 1 year warranty this fridge was our only choice with the tight space we have to put it in before this we bought a lg and had nothing but problems out of it so we were trying our luck with Samsung first the ice maker kept freezing up then the digits on the display would blink randomly then it would say weird temps on the display but inside would be fine then the freezer completely stopped running getting cold at all DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR THEY NEED TO RECALL IT THIS IS CRAZY ONLY HAVING FOR NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD YET

I read all the reviews and did my homework prior to purchasing this refrigerator in November 2017 . Issues started to occur after only a couple months of owning the refrigerator. Unfortunately the ice dispenser would leak, freeze up and now I have to remove the ice cube bin, scrape the ice off the sides, remove stuck ice cubes etc in order to get to work again (this is getting worse and now have to do every other week). Not to mention because of the leaking the tray in my door looks like it is about 20 yrs old due to the erosion. l did call samsung and had my refrigerator serviced directly by them- they said that it was not installed correctly. Although I am not so sure about that one as the problems resurfaced about 2 months later (if that). I continue to have the same problems, progressively getting worse. I have since visited the samsung community boards and I am not alone in this issue. I caution anyone getting this refrigerator to go to samsung's website and review the issues (https://us.community.samsung.com/). While I have seen numerous responses, none seem to provide a solution - all say to contact samsung. I am very disappointed and am in the process of purchasing another refrigerator for a 2nd home, however, based on this experience am steering clear of the samsung refrigerators with ice makers. Very disappointing as I currently have other samsung products I am very happy with - unfortunately this is not one of them.
