    can i trust Samsung products

    This started out as a great refrigerator. had everything we wanted. in the last 6 months the ice maker failed, the bottom freezer has failed and now the pull out draw is on it's way out. we had a service man come out (sears) at a cost of $120. he showed me a product/service release that Samsung put out about an air leak that caused the ice maker to fail. estimate was $1000 to fix. he also said the freezer was failing because of a Freon problem but could not be sure. another 500 to fix. my wife wants to replace with another Samsung because the finish matches the set i purchased (dishwasher, stove and microwave for a little over 5 grand). having a hard time deciding if i want to trust Samsung with another refrigerator

    We purchased all Samsung appliances for our new home four years ago, yes only four years ago and have had nothing but issues. Small household, very light wear. I find it interesting that the reviews on Best Buy website do not match the true reviews of this appliance. This refrigerator has several defects that Samsung should stand behind as they are consistent with all who buy. Typically within the first year or two the ice maker no longer works. Not long after the cooling fan goes out. Which we have had issues with both. Extremely disappointed!

    After 3 years, this refrigerator has been serviced once for a glass shelf that shattered with nothing stored on it, 3 times for an inoperable ice maker, and twice for a water dispenser that sounded like an impact wrench when you used it. Samsung had no desire to correct what was clearly a lemon. For what this cost, it’s appaling that after a few years, and having my ice maker go bad, yet again, that I’m shopping for a new fridge. No more Samsung for me. I learned my lesson.

    It looks pretty, and the flex drawer is nice but managing the icemaker is a part time job. Full defrost every couple of months. First time I reached out to Samsung I was a week past warranty and they did nothing. I paid $573 in July 2020, all new ice maker parts and a new mother board but just quick all together 7 months later and makes one tray with a reset, then just does nothing except occasions knocking and grinding noises. Dealing with Samsung customer service is another part time job, bad information and no call backs when promised.

    Purchased January 2018. Works as it should however the display panel went out in July 2020 and it cost $291 to fix it as it was no longer under warranty. It seems it should have lasted longer considering the cost of this product.

    Water filter issues. $300+ repair after just a year and half. Can't find correct filter. Google water filter issues with Samsung. Many people have this issue. Samsung and Best Buy do not stand behind it. If you purchase for sure get the extended warranty because you will need it. I didn't and now I'm stuck not being able to find a water filter that fits and $300 bill to change it to the correct water filter housing. Complete garbage. Stick with the pros when it comes to refrigerators. You wouldn't buy a cell phone made by whirlpool would you? I should have trusted my instincts. My Aunt had a huge issue with her Samsung washer.

    We purchased this refrigerator in October and it was delivered on Halloween. The last month we have had constant issues with the ice maker. We have gone through all the steps Samsung recommends and will now be calling to complain. If I could return this $2,000 refrigerator, I would. This is ridiculous for having it FIVE months! DON'T buy!

    Search on-line to read abt this serious icie maker issue that Samsung is ignoring - B4 buying. Numerous complaints lead me to believe its a design flaw that Samsung refuses to address. Currently going through extended warranty claim w my c/card company. Very onerous and time consuming process. Ice maker will be unusable within 6 to 15 months of purchase.

    Fridge looks great. It functions poorly. If you enjoy having to unplug your fridge for 24-hours or take the back off to quick-thaw the fan every three months or want to thaw your ice maker monthly, then this is the fridge for you. Worked great the first year, has been awful since.

    The ice maker is complete garbage. It will freeze up solid no matter how many times you use it. Samsung knows about the problem and will not address it. They recommend for you to empty out the fridge and freezer, unplug it and let it defrost for 24 hours.

    Ice maker problems 700.00 to replace fan problems finally fridge just failed 58 degrees inside says it is 40 Samsung no customer service just buy the part they have several versions of fix it kits all the same and none work. CEO of Samsung ignores all emails class action suit started I will not buy another Samsung

    First the touchscreen died, geek squad fixed it 2 or 3 times. The the icemaker died and was unfixable. Get the warranty if you get this one! Even the warrenty person i spoke to said to stay away from the samsungs!

    I had my ice maker repaired once and then had to replace it within a 4 month period. It has been 4 months and now it needs to be replaced again. My warranty expired 30 days ago and I am being told it's my problem and will have to pay $350 to have it fixed.

    Disaster Purchase

    I purchased this refrigerator after my last one died after ten years. This unit hasn't lasted 6 months and I've been getting the run around. Samsung has set 4 different dates to fix unit and has yet to fix it. Compressor failed so all compartments are inoperable. First person to come to house had no parts and promised to return following Monday with compressor. Monday came and went, Tuesday man arrives and can't remove old compressor and now says it will be Friday before it can be fixed. Also, used my power tools and his own and still couldn't accomplish anything. I have 2 small children and not having fridge for over 2 weeks is unacceptable.

    We bought this fridge a couple years ago from a different store . For the last few months, I have had to defrost the refrigerator almost once a week due to the condenser freezing over and the fan hitting the ice. usually the condenser is 1/2 to 2/3 frozen over when I opened the back panel.. I had to manually melt the ice in order for the fridge to get cold again. worst purchase I had made... please stay away from Samsung fridge..
