    Avoid Samsung diswasher model DW80R9950US

    I purchased this dishwasher in December of 2022 and enjoyed 10 months of dependable and quiet performance. However, after these months the upper spray arm broke. A plastic part that clips the arm onto the middle rack became stretched causing the arm to fall down into the dishwasher with every use. The Geek Squad installed a replacement arm that broke, again, in less than a day. I tried to use the one-year warranty with Samsung, but my dealings with Samsung have been a disaster. Today I spent 20 minutes on the phone with an agent to generate a repair ticket, but the links that the agent sent don't work. First, a page reported that my machine was out of warranty (I previously provided Samsung with a copy of the Best Buy receipt), then a page listed the wrong symptom and provided no way for me to explain or confirm the problem, and then the next page wanted me to pay $365 for service. I followed up with the agent who sent me another link that was no more helpful. I sent additional texts, but they have not been answered. Between the unsuccessful attempt by Best Buy's Geek Squad (with a repair person who was completely unfamiliar with this model) and the spectacular indifference or antipathy that Samsung has towards its customers, I very much regret this purchase. Do NOT buy this dishwasher (I think that the design of the spray arm is faulty) and be very wary of Samsung. If you think you ever will need product support, do NOT buy a Samsung product.

    Love this dishwasher!! had a few problems at first with it being damaged from warehouse but Best Buy made sure to take care of us!!

    worst experience with a dishwasher

    Sadly I have never experienced worse service. If I could give minus five stars I would not hesitate. There were 3 attempts to deliver and install this dishwasher. We were super patient and understanding with the whole process but there is a limit. First time the installation crew decided that there is a connection that Samsung requires them to put on that was reported to have a defect so they left with the dishwasher, never attempting the installation because they were afraid to be liable in case something would have happened in the future. And they insisted the dishwasher should be replaced. We scheduled a next appointment - only available 2 weeks later. The crew that came next was not aware of any issues the previous crew reported. So we don’t know if the appliance was really replaced. They attempted the installation but the unit never started always returning a bunch of error codes - the crew decided that this might have been due to the fact that the dishwasher was stored in the truck overnight and might have froze. They left saying that maybe it will start running again if it stays indoors for 30 min but if the error codes are still there the appliance maybe damaged. The error codes never disappeared despite our efforts to trouble shoot - switching the power off. We scheduled another replacement. Another week down the road. The team that was supposed to come and deliver never showed up but the Best Buy system would show as delivered. Dealing with customer service of Best Buy was a nightmare. I will spare details. Suggestion if you can buy elsewhere don’t hesitate don’t do it in Best Buy.

    This is my first dishwasher. It looked very pretty. Unfortunately after 17 months it started leaking from water wall motor. This repair seems too costly and it's probably better just to purchase a new dishwasher now.

    This is a very quiet-running dishwasher. One of my favorite features, which I have not seen in any other model, is that the door automatically springs open a few inches at the end of the cycle, allowing the dishes to thoroughly air dry.

    Overall an extremely quiet operating dishwasher, you'd never know it was operating. now for the negative I have to constantly rewash dishes I'm not too happy and wouldn't recommend

    We had been looking at dishwashers for some time to replace our very old dishwasher. We are very happy with this samsung linearwash. Its nice to also be able to check the current cycle status on the app and get notification when the wash is complete.

    Defective piece. Stopped working 50 days in. Called Best Buy. They sent 3rd party installer for "diagnostic" and they claimed the original installer, another 3rd did a poor job so now its defective. Called Best Buy back, opened a case, got a run around and had to ultimately reach out to Samsung. Always but the best buy warranty, folks.

    Beware buying this dishwasher. It has been just a year and I have had so many issues. It shows the LC error every month, After number of complaints the samsung maintenance team did come over, the problem was solved for kne month and then started again. Everytime it shows the LC error, I have to shut down the machine for 2 days before I can start. I am finally theoqing away this dishwasher for another dishwasher from Bosch. PLEASE DONT BUY

    I really like the glasses rack lowering for larger items. And also the top rack for spatulas knives. Bottle nipples and so much more
