Samsung Dish Washer

I have been using it for a year, and it used to be really quiet, but now it is starting to make some mechanical noises. I don't think that it will last.

Not an above average dishwasher

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased this dishwasher 12/17/24 so I’ve had it for about 2 months and I will say it does the basic job of being a dishwasher. Great features: -Super quiet, I barely hear it running compared to our old one. - sleek look and really like the look of the timer on the outside. - 3 racks creates a lot of space so perfect for cleaning up large messes. - I’ve connected it to the smart things app and now I can monitor, start and get notifications on my phone regarding the dishwasher. - adjustable middle rack is AMAZING when you have tall items on the bottom. - I do really like the open drying option for the last 10 minutes to help dry dishes. About 99% come out dry as long as you use rinse aid. Here are the cons: - I don’t think it washes my dishes that great, it’s pretty average. I do have dishes that aren’t clean and I have to wash again. - the racks don’t feel of high quality and sway side to side, they feel cheap. - long dish cycles but that’s with all new dishwashers - 2 months in and had an issue with the drainage even though filter and drain pump are clean, still working on getting this figured out. For the cost of this dang dishwasher I expected a lot better and went with Samsung due to having other matching appliances but this dishwasher is meh, I’m not blown away but it does the job.

Strong Plastic Smell Order not going away

Cleans well but the washing cycles seem very long, up to 2 hours? After installation the washer had a bad plastic smell to it. The installer recommended running the dishwasher a few time and the smell would go away. I have ran the dishwasher at least 10 times since install the order is just as strong as when the dishwasher was installed. Not sure what to do?

Great Dishwasher problem with Delivery

This dishwasher exceeded expectations. Strong for cleaning all types of dishes from heavy to glass. Very good options for setting timing and water limits. The perfect combo for the environment. Purchased for the wifi and nice finish with ease of control on top. The door to put the soap a challenge at first to learn how to close but once learned easily glides up and over. Delivery with Best Buy: there was a car out front a second person with our delivery person; the delivery guy when leaving said it was his Supervisor monitoring him. We’ve never had that from any company and wondered what was going on. I feel we should have been notified. Uncomfortable is the word. Did he not know his job? Then of course it didn’t go well. As this was the second time we have had a problem with the delivery, wake up early, caffeinate and be ready with your best video camera and “A” game. Look around outside and see who is there. Take photos of every angle of your home to use should a request of insurance be needed. Film, film, film from every angle as they do. It’s your right and if you don’t you won’t have anything to protect you. Previously this past year purchased a Samsung fridge. We saw the delivery person from BB push it into place. Noticed the deep 3 foot scratch that ruined the floor after they left when the light changed. Best Buy insurance carrier requested we submit multiple independent companies for proposals (time and effort) to assess damage and cost. After all the requested information submitted. Best Buy insurance paid Zero after about 10-15 exchange of pictures and multiple discussions. There was zero Olive branch no gift card absolutely nothing but blame from Bb insurance that because there was garbage bag on the kitchen floor they blamed other workers for causing the damage. I swore I would not purchase another thing from Best Buy. This dishwasher had free delivery as I had paid for total tech. This was the time I thought maybe Best Buy had a chance to take a little extra care and maybe get over the hump to do right by the customer. The delivery guy seemed nice no problem there but claimed he could not install it afterall and we needed both a plumber and an electrician due to a state law. We tried to find the law he referred to quickly but after a call to the company the best they could offer was to leave it there for us to install. So, We hired our plumber and he said that that law only applied to new homes not ours. I explained in a call to Best Buy who offered a $65 gift card on a $200 installation fee so much for free w total tech but at least something. I am filling this out as I got an email saying that if I filled it out it would lead to a $400/gift card from Best Buy. That’s more than we got for the thousands of the ruined floor. Hope they honor it.

Dishwasher Review

I had to do a couple loads to figure out what cycles work best for me. At first, I kept getting water spots on all the dishes, but once the right detergent was used, I was happy. The reason I removed 2 stars in this rating is our first dishwasher was damaged during the install due to the front door being too delicate. It got a ding in the front. When we received the replacement dishwasher, the main rack was completely cracked and the bottom of the front door was bent so it looked curvy and not appealing. Overall the door and racks inside felt a little flimsy and wiggled a little too much. I generally use the dishwasher 1-2 times per day and did not see myself having this for the next 10 years. I returned it within the 2 week window.

Cleans great, bottom rack is junk

Purchased this as I had just bought the Samsung Bespoke fridge and wanted to match appliances and this had good reviews. It washes, cleans, and dries as it should. Very quiet, sleek design. I love that it syncs to my phone and notifies me of leaks, when it is finished, needs cleaned, etc. My only complaint is the bottom rack has not one time ever slid in and out with ease. It has to be picked up whether empty or full of dishes and pushed in. It is a pain and it makes me regret the purchase. I have had it looked at and was told it needs a different bottom rack as this one is faulty and the the wheels do not stay on the track. Another expense.

Works well when working

The first Samsung dishwasher I purchased in 2016 had to be replaced in November of 2022 because the circuit board stopped working and they no longer made that board to replace it. This dishwasher I purchased in November 2022 had a broken wire inside the door that would cost at least $400 to fix. These dishwashers work well but the reliability is questionable.

Less than impressive

However, the bottom rack does not slide smoothly into the machine. The door needs to be held down as it will not open all the way to allow the bottom rack to slide out. The middle rack rarely has more than one mug or cup that is completely dry following a cycle.

We suggest removing the lower rack and putting it back again, as the rack might have been improperly installed. Please refer to page 14 of the dishwasher's user manual for the basic use of racks (angling of the plate supports).

Spring tension too high?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We like almost everything about this dishwasher, but like a few other reviewers have said, when you open the door all the way, it doesn't lay flat, it pops back up a bit. It seems like the spring tension is too high and I couldn't see a way to adjust it. You can force it back down so that you can smoothly roll the door back in, but it is annoying and seems like this shouldn't be an issue on a dishwasher in this price range. We are exchanging it for a new one and we will see if we have better luck.

Decent Dishwasher

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed just fine as I was able to use the old parts for installing vs buying the $40 kit that isn’t really needed. The appnis cool if you want to monitor the cycles and get the alert when it's completed the wash. I feel the adjustments for the racks are nice but not as many items fit since the 3td rack spinner gets in the way. I'd rather have that eztra 3 inches for the middle rack. We've ran 4 -6 loads and now 2 of them there has been liquid detergent spilled out of the holder and ran down the inside of the door vs being used up and spun inside the machine. We do use the 60min quick cycle as that seems to work well, haven't used the storm cycle as we don't have many hard solids that stick to the dishes. So in all we like it for some things but really just average in my opinion as we bought an open box at a great discount (small dent) so if I paid the retail price it would be very disappointing.

Why is there not at least a power cord.

If you have a house that is 50 or more years old, uses a variety of different pipes and adapters and fitting for gas and water. Be prepared to just replace everything. And I do not understand why it is difficult or not practical to send the dishwasher out with a BUNCH of o rings and adapter and fittings to make it work with 90% of all possible install situations, as well as a power cord. Common man, WHY DO I HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE TO GET A POWER HOOK UP. EVERY DISHWASHER IVE BOUGHT OVER THE LAST DECADE HAS A POWER CORD, JUST WHY.

Too easily dented/dinged on flimsy front

They're great machines with special little features that our renters appreciate. The white machine is great. The stainless steel, however, is far too easily damaged on its front. It is ridiculous how easily it can become dinged and dented.

OK Dishwasher

The racks however are not easy to load and the bottom rack in particular does not have enough vertical rows. It seems as though an entire row is missing on the bottom rack so it does not work well for any type of dish other than plates and a few bowls. It does not come with the necessary adaptor to connect the water supply line which is very disappointing and necessitated a trip to the hardware store. For the price of the dishwasher why would it not include an $8 adaptor that is required to install?
